- In this video Louee explains the role of the 95th Rifles at the Battle of Waterloo. Positioned next to a farm called La Haye Sainte, the riflemen took cover in a feature called the Sandpit. But this was no playtime. They were pressed all day by Napoleon's infantry columns, skirmishers and armoured cuirassiers.

The reenactment pictured in the video is actually unrealistic because there's no salesman on the edge of the map selling soup to the enemy team.

I used to live on a street in Billerica Massachusetts named "Pollard." It's named after a soldier that was on Bunker Hill (near Boston) fighting the British.
Edit: A commentator in the dm offered an accurate accounting of the flawed information I originally mentioned. So:
He, Asa Pollard, died in the Battle of Bunker Hill (fought on Breed's Hill) when a cannonball, shot from a ship, decapitated him.
Asa Pollard was actually a soldier, not a spectator. He fought at Concord and then was the first American casualty at Bunker Hill, decapitated by a cannonball fired by a warship in Boston harbor.

When I heard that they were positioned by a farm, it gives me flashbacks to my favorite Roblox game Blood & Iron, and on a map with a barn, my men took cover from the incoming fire we were receiving from cannons

1815, one of the biggest battles in history took place in Belgium at a place called Waterloo.
It was a coalition of allies led by the British and by a British General The Duke of Wellington (Sir Arthur Wellsey) opposing him was Napoleon Bonapart.
This was to be Bonapart's downfall.
Thousands and thousands of men and horses lay dead and dying days after the battle.
It brought peace to Europe for the next 100 years until the outbreak of ww1 1914 /18.
When the very battlefields of France and Belgium would witness again carnage and horror .

Love your content, but the guns opened up at around 11:00 or 11:30. At 1:00 there were instead massive cavalry charges from the French
As I understand it. Napoleons general orders were offered at 11:00 , Wellingtons positions were then reported to be under bombardment from around 13:00 from the “Grande Batterie”
No wonder half the cast of Sharpe died at Waterloo

I heard a great deal of the rifle men were not British but Germans, who fled to England after Naploen conquered their home countries.
60th, I believe. Originally Germans and American loyalists.
95th was British.
