i love my 2016 ninja 1000. i've heard people say this bike is boring or has no character, but i have no idea how anyone could think that. The engine on this bike is like a jet engine. Sounds incredible with an after market exhaust and the torque down low makes you feel like you're teleporting. My 2016 doesn't have any of the cool electronics features that the new bikes have, but i love the reliability and like you said, super comfortable bike while still feeling like a high performance sport bike.

Thanks for the recommendation my friend. I ended up going with the Black Widow, they’re a company based in the UK. It was half the price of the Yoshi and the quality is amazing. I currently have over 1000 miles on this bike, and I call it the SUV of motorcycles. A while back I traded my sportscar for an SUV and never looked back, so I figured I do the same with my motorcycle. And much like an SUV it's still pretty fast but you're way more comfortable. Couple of hours of riding is nothing on this thing, as opposed to the hard tails and actual super sports I rode in the past and was sore after 2 hours. I modded mine though: Black windshield, SC project exhaust, end-bar mirrors and shortened plate holder. And because of those mods people usually don't know what it is, which I always find funny.
@@kriseightyfive5854 very spot on comparison for this bike, it really does everything good except for off road obviously. How about for tall riders? How tall are you? I am 6' 2" 185lbs, and a lot of the sport bikes feel tiny to me. I was looking at this bike mostly because of its larger dimensions, but I might go with the Ninja 650 anyway due to the cost. (This would be my 2nd bike ever purchased, by the way).
@@LD777saed i am 5’10, the bike fits me perfectly, good leg room and I can get my feet to the ground. I think itll work for you, it has a less aggressive rider triangle than most normal sport bikes. Your Ninja 1000SX is the same make/model/year that I bought back in April. The only extra that I bought was an extended warrantee bringing the out-the-door price paid about $16,000. I bought it to ride on the weekends. But after a pretty steep learning curve I prefer it over my truck or my Versys X300. Although the Versys 300 is a completely different experience, the Versys 300 is an extremely good daily rider and non-highway commuter. But once I got some confidence with the big bike I prefer it over the Versys 300. Right now they are both due for first maintenance. Both parked until I get that done. The Ninja 1000SX still feels like a missle disguised as a motorcycle, but I am confident that it will soon be second nature to ride. My main issue is the center of gravity relative to my height of 5' 7" with an inseam of 30" on a good day. Dropped once. Nearly dropped I lost count. I'd like to get it road ready for some long rides next year. I am thinking GPS, heated grips and seat, soft luggage for camping gear. What else?
Thanks for watching buddy, congrats on your ninja, glad you’re enjoying it. It definitely took me some time to get used to all the power as well, I don’t know if I’ll ever use it to its full potential but it’s a blast to ride. Just a qestion, make a test, when you drive on a straight road, let your hands off the handlebar and tell me if the bike is slowly leaning to the right
@@micahvelli_236 hmmm, asking that because I have the same model 2024, and when on a straight road when I remove my hands from the handlebar it leans to the right, and 90% of drivers that have the same bike from 2020-2024 said the same. We came to the conclusion that most probably the reason for that is the heavy stock exhaust with euro 5 norm. Most drivers that dont have a stock exhaust or removed their stock exhaust the bike doesn't lean to the right. If your is leaning to the left check your tire alignment
@@alele1234577 yeah you might be right about the exhaust, it is pretty large and can cause an imbalance. I just put on a new slip on so I’ll test it out with the new one.
