I just purchased my first salvia plant which will remain in a pot on my garden patio- many, many tiny crimson blossoms. I was at a garden center in LA and asked which flowers attract hummingbirds. Red salvia was the number one recommendation! Thank you for this video. In March of this year, I attended the CQI Conference at UC Davis. I love that little town! We discovered parts of the Arboretum along the river one evening when walking to town for dinner. Next year when I come, I'll have to visit the Public Garden! Blessings
Mountain sage (salvia regla) is a large shrub (6 feet tall by 4-5 feet wide) with bright red flowers and pretty leaves. Hardy to zone 8. There are many varieties available.
They LOOK and SMELL great! Find out about the variety of Salvias (sages) that we will have available at our first fall plant sale from Nursery Manager Taylor Lewis! #ucdavis #oneucdavis #sage #salvia #waterwise
The bought a two lip salvia in 5 gallon pot-how often do U water if in full sun the leaves are turning yellow in parts of the plant. They are not as bushy green as when I got them 2 weeks ago they are more woodsy stem now with some flowers and green leaves.
Went to the website. Navigation is a disaster. Links take you around in circles but never to where they say. They refer to a topic & whereever you end up there's nothing there...like the bee pollinatore plants list. I got disgusted after searching & got tired of the circular searches that kept me going back to pages without the referenced info. On a scale of 1 to 5 this site gets a 1👎☹😖
Our apologies for the late reply. We are sorry to hear about the difficulty you had trying to find the plant list for bees. Here is the link we believe you were searching for: arboretum.sf.ucdavis.edu/blog/support-california-native-bees-these-10-plants

Great video
Was hoping you would have spoke about the herbal benefits
We stick to what we know the most about and that's more on the environmental benefits for various plants. Thank you for watching our video!
I do aromatic to drink..is it good or not?
Is salvia sage ok to drink as tea?
SO many benefits.
Is your friend Monsanto messing with herbs yet, UC Davis?
I love salvia. I bought one pant called 'hot lips' now I wasn't more and want to try panting from seed
Great video!
Do all sage plants blossom or make flowers?
Is salvia greggi edible?
Salvia officinalis is culinary sage. Salvia gregii, although it smells very nice, is one of the most woody sages. Unless you're a beaver don't eat it.
We don't get white sage in new zealand
Try king seeds , salvia apiana .
