I give my initial thoughts, thoughts after application, thoughts after rinsing it out, and thoughts a while after rinsing out (it's so necessary to watch how this progresses, it literally shocked me)...all relevant, all real thoughts on this Mielle Sea Moss Gel Mask.

This line stripped all the moisture out of my hair. I been trying to repair it.
I believe it! Try something like SheaMoisture manuka and honey deep conditioner or their jbco deep conditioner…something classic to get you back right! I hate that for us! It did me the same way…I was like what’s this?!?!?! (After rinsing it out of course) I’ve never had a deep conditioner this drying ever…hope this helps! 😘✨🙏🏾💕 and thanks for watching and sharing!

I actually love this whole line surprisingly! I get so many compliments on my hair and i do see minimal shedding. I recommend for your wash after taking braids and faux locs out. The gel mask works best after using the conditioner. The leave in and curl pudding after seal it all in. I feel like these products work best when used together. Products lines are made to work together so I never understood why people jumble them up. I will say do not use the gel mask when you have styling gel in your hair. My hair had to recover from how rough it became.

Sooo, I'm back! I finally bought the line and tried out 2 of the products so far - the leave in and the curl pudding. I looooove the scent of these sea breeze smelling products. The leave in was a bit on the watery side but I feel like the curl pudding came through where the leave in needed a little something more... I still need to try out the shampoo, conditioner, and gel hair masque. I think I may do a review video on the line as well. 🤔

So glad I watched your review. After using the gel masque I totally get what you’re saying. I loved the initial application as well, but my hair felt stripped after rinsing the masque out. I used a steamer with it hoping for better results but sigh....I’m going to try it again on my next wash and follow it up with a dc. I really don’t know how I feel about it.

I'm interested to see how and if your thoughts change when you use the steamer. Also, if that doesn't work than you could definitely use it as a prepoo, kinda like the African Pride Pre-Shampoo in terms of consistency. Alternatively, since you purchased it from Target you could definitely take it back.. this was such a GREAT, HONEST review!!! Thanks so much for posting this video Jamie!
Hey curlfriend, yes...i still haven't taken the products back, still contemplating it, i shouldn't wait to long, haha...but that's an idea...just to see if the steamer does something...you know how it is when something doesn't work once and you can be completely turned off by it, BUT...that doesn't mean that it won't work if you try it differently. I've got a few products in my stash like that as well, but as influencers/content creators, we have so many choices that some times you never get around to trying that product out again. It's totally up to you though. I know I'm on the fence about even trying it now though because if I buy it here in Canada, it's mine forever since we don't have an Ultra or a Target to take it back to. 🤣
I’ve tried with a steamer. It still wasn’t super hydrating. My hair was noticeably drier than it typically is when I use a hair mask with my steamer.

I'm so glad you confirmed my speculation...it didn't seem like it would be hydrating at all, even with a steamer, especially if it was drying before. I took the products back. I went to UPS 📦 yesterday and thought about you 🤓. Off-topic in December one of my cousins gave me some pure honey curl activator hair product and I noticed my hair strains turned gray two days after I used it 😄. Great review I’m waiting for my bundle to come in the mail. I’ve seen another review and they said the same thing about the mask but once she put on the leave in she said it felt better. Do you think you may have liked your results better if you tried using the leave in? but hey take them both back if you don’t like it no one has money to waste on products that don’t work for them.💜

I used a deep conditioner that had a gel consistency and it was sudsy when I washed it out. Overall I didn’t like it because it dried out my hair. Yes take them both back asap. Thanks for the review of this product😀👍🏽💚💙❤️💜

I would use it as a per poo and sit under a steamer because it seems it will do better with moisture I would try it one more time I think it could be a good product but you have to use it in a different way the product does make your curls look good if you are using sea moss in a product it is going to give you more of a clean feel so yes sea moss does act as a shampoo I have made my own shampoo with sea moss so try as a per pop and see how you like it

Hahaaa! I'm #TeamUseMyStash too! I haven't purchased anything new in sooooo LONG! lol! Not sure how I feel about a mask feeling like a styler though.. :S Oh noooo sis! I'm not feeling how difficult that product looks in terms of getting through your hair. The gel mask seems like a no for me based on your experience.
Girl, I'm telling ya...WET WET hair is necessary but still...(sad face) I like the idea/concept...(i don't think that was the brand's intention) but that was just my thought about it...how it felt...but if the moisture is absent, there's no need for me to use it as a styler/deep conditioner. Yes, yes, yes to #TEAMUSEYOURSTASH I'm right there with you, i've used so much already. Can't wait to share my empties video and my product stash video. I'm proud of myself. This purchase (along with another shampoo & dc) were the only things i purchased for myself for Christmas...and i didn't participate in Black Friday...so I'm doing pretty good!

I didn't buy anything for Black Friday either which is very new for me, LOL! I was soo tempted to try out NLS but I was good and held back, lol!! For this year's Black Friday I'm definitely getting stuff though!!!! I'm sure I'll be through with a lot more things by then - either that, or they would've gone bad (which I hate, lol)
Same…I’m pretty sure my stash will be gone in 10 months but who knows girlie! Lol..😅sometimes these products last forever when you have many options!

At least you admitted that people should follow the directions. I think that's why It's not working for most people, they are not following the directions.

Sorry this didn't work for you. Your hair did look dry and afro-y. But everyone's hair responds differently to products. I do know that Sea Moss is a sea plant when prepared to consume is a gel. So not sure the brand was thinking "lazy natural" vibes. But I understood what you were saying. 😉 I just got my box in the mail this week so we'll see how it goes for me. But by all means if you don't like it return it. No love loss for the brand if you like them, just this particular one wasn't for you. Great review!😉😘

It's a heavy scent the whole line. I can't. I don't even wanna review it cause the smell lingers for so long. I washed my son's hair with it and could still smell it at the end of the week and id washed his hair with something else to try and get rid of that smell.
Hey sis!!! Oh no….yeah I can’t with the heavy scents like that either. I don’t mind some scents but this one is a bit too “perfumey” to me, and because I only purchased the wash products (shampoo and dc) I thought the shampoo wasn’t as bad but the dc was potent…thanks for so much for sharing that part…I wouldn’t be able to handle the styler then. I really appreciate ya! Maybe review it from the perspective of using it on your son’s hair? A thought…even if you don’t reapply it on his hair. 🤷🏾♀️ I’m always thinking of ways to get a video out of a purchase, lol. But I get it if you’re done done. A scent can even turn off the best of products for me. Thanks for taking the time to share and watch, hope someone finds this to be helpful too!
