Nature of light Explained by Saurabh Jha in Hindi |Quantum Mechanics | Episode 1

Isaac Newton believed that light is made up of tiny particles called "corpuscles" that travel in straight lines. He thought of light as tiny bullets that bounce off surfaces and into our eyes, creating the sensation of sight.
Christiaan Huygens, on the other hand, proposed that light behaves like a wave, similar to ripples in a pond. He suggested that light waves spread out in all directions, and when they reach our eyes, they combine to create the sensation of light.
So, Newton saw light as particles, while Huygens saw it as waves. This debate between particle and wave theories of light was a significant part of the history of understanding light.
