Hello Cody, I have just starting watching your videos as I am the Grandmother that you DIDN'T think would be needing it. Well I am using your informative and entertaining videos to help me set up my streaming account software. One of my sons ha been at me for years about streaming my game playing. I have been playing games on PC for years and was a WoW afficionado for over 7 years. My favourite now is Ark Survival Evolved. I have been playing for many years with forays into Conan, FF, 7 Days to Die and Atlas. It was all very well to nag me to start streaming but is anyone here helping me set up? Hell no! I am 74 years old, retired schoolteacher from Melbourne and I just have to learn how to do it myself. That's where you come in. So thank you! :)

For people that still haven't watched the video: It's an easy fast tutorial but includes all the information you need, and a problem I had, I may be the only one, if your cam freezes or something like that go to sources, right-click on your webcam source and press properties, then deactivate and activate the camera.

@@CpawsMusic quick question if I want the sub alerts off do I have to turn them off in owned and re copy the url or just turn them off in the settings on owned and it will be good?

Hey mate! Awesome video! Silly question but what streaming software were you putting your ownedpro overlays into? IE: do you use streamlabs + ownedpro (and that’s it)? Or do you use OBS + ownedpro? Thanks!

I've been doing a lot of studying while at work lately, just made a new banner for twitch and UA-cam both, made a schedule, and it looks so much better
Even just started using Adobe express for making it and I'm going to be using that from now on for thumbnails

Hi Cody, one more question/topic. I created my overlays and put them into OBS scenes, but when I wanted to play Apex Legends I realized thanks to Task Manager that something in OBS was using a lot of my CPU. Went through it and discovered that one overlay from OWN3D use about 7% of my CPU. Is this normal or not?(I have CPU which is not the best but its allright - Intel i7 2.something GHz) If it is normal, is there a way to stop my CPU from "calculating" all the overlays at once and make it "calculate" just one at a time? Is there a way to turn off the scenes in OBS/make them inactive?
Searched for it on google and found that I can add hotkey to disable the source(overlay).. But I want to be sure, so I wanted to ask if there is any other way :)
If your game isn't lagging or anything then it should be fine, but you could always try setting a hotkey to disable/enable the preview and that should also help :D
One question I do have if I connect this to rumble does the alerts and everything I get on Own, transfer over their too?
Unfortunately OWN3D Pro does not support rumble alerts at this moment

Hey Cody, what if I bought one single package (Zenith) and I want to build scenes with it? How do I get it in this builder? Is it even possible? Or I have to do it somehow manually through twitch now, when I bough it?
If you bought it through their other branch own3dtv then you can't use their builder on own3d pro. But you can simply just import your files they gave you into obs or streamlabs directly

I'd recommend using the own3d support chat since they can help diagnose more specifically :D
Do I need too set up separate alerts on this website for follows during the overlay if I already have alerts in streamlabs?
You can simply just delete the own3d alerts if you use streamlabs alerts already

@@CpawsMusic While I'm streaming. The panels where you can see the people who are watching the live, the time of the live, the subscribers, are locked and do not update. I have to update them manually and it's very inconvenient
i have the chroma overlay version but how do i add it to the backround when im playing the game, like if you use twitch studio its something like alt + Shift + Q/O

my resolution is higher than 1080 for my setup how do i change the res of the overlays to fit the larger res of the games and such

You don't have to, but you'll only want to use 1 or the other
the alerts ain't playing in twitch studio, and i don't know how to tranfer it? also your video helped me a lot thank you!!
It should be the same process as obs studio, but lowkey I'd recommend you switch from Twitch Studio to Streamlabs or OBS Studio anyways since Twitch Studio has gotten to be pretty booty lately

How do you connect the overlays to Kick? For example “last follower” and it shows the follower from Kick
Own3d doesn't have Kick connectivity yet, you'd need to use botrix to add those

If you logged in through own3d using your twitch account and edit the overlays, alerts, etc; will all of the edits (ESPECIALLY ALERTS) be useable if you only live stream through youtube?

That's a great question! I believe it is tied to the account so only 1 per sub but you can double check and ask own3d themselves
You can use it on as many as you want, because you bought the subscription to get access to those premium overlays, but you can use them as many times as you want on as many twitch (or non-twitch) accounts as you want.
Is anyone else struggling to resize the window if you select game capture? Even with a game open I can't see it in my preview to resize so it fits in the box. Not sure what I'm missing.
try right clicking the game capture source > transform > fit or stretch to screen

my "stream starting" overlay continues to show in the 2nd scene "talking/gaming overlay" ive copied and pasted the url for the different overlay but it just continues to show the "stream starting" in the new scene... any suggestions?
Very weird, not 100% sure on that since it should be the same as in the video, but you can send a quick message to own3d support and they can check from their end :D

So if you're streaming from your console directly, then you won't be able to use OBS. It's kind of a one or the other type thing :D
True! But owed pro alerts work when I stream on twitch. Like when someone follows me it said “Ow3d: Blank has started following you!” But basically I’m at the point now where I’m trying to get blerp sounds set up but I’m stuck at browser source… Where do I paste my browser source URL? Bc I stream from console and twitch..

so i have a 2560x1080 size moniter and when I put it in obs it doesn't look right because you still see the background, I tried making adjustments but when I tried converting my monitor to 1920x1080 I got the black bars on the side of my PC which did not look good at all so I changed it back and the overlay is not wide enough even when sizing it to 2560x1080 like the crop is correct but I just cant see the whole overlay...

No matter what height and width I set, one way or another it doesn't work. Either it's too big or too small, or even half the overlay is not even on the screen, like the lower right corner would be on my desk. I've been trying this for hours now. Oh well, not everyone can do everything, am I right?

When the chat is on it puts random chats like what it says in the owend app

you'll simply just add a new media / image source (depending on the file type) inside obs and then select the image you'd like to add :D
For some reason when I switch scenes my webcam disappears or freezes any help ?
I also am also using an elegato rather than streaming straight from my pc

Close the chrome tab with own3d pro on it and if that's not enough then enable performance mode when streaming to remove the stream preview in obs
When I go to copy the overlay url and paste it in obs browser it just keep pasting as " Cascades"

You need to use a streaming software if you're going to stream from your PC, so you'll need to use either OBS Studio, Streamlabs or Twitch Studio :D

Should be able to go into the chatbot settings on the website

You'll need to use BotRix for your Kick chat

Double check you're copying the correct url and saving your changes in own3d pro
