Greetings everyone! This is the 16th installment of the series detailing the restoration of a stone house from the previous century. I've just completed the construction of wooden stairs, which took me several days, resulting in the successful connection between the living room and the bedroom located in the attic of the house.

What a beautiful set of stairs and the stain matches perfectly! Stairs are never easy unless you have experience. I was never comfortable with building stairs. in Sunday School, Zooey learned about living a life dedicated to hard work and finding happiness in our life. В подвале я бы организовала кухню с каменным полом, с печью на дровах, чтобы в печи можно было варить борщ, печь хлеб, пироги, булочки!! I have come back again to see your brilliant work on the stairs. Great work. They are masterful and sturdy - and I doubt they will ever move or creak.
Seeing the whole room again in that light, I need to tell you this: I am convinced that you should paint all the log walls in the same colour of the stones - as close as you can get it.
That will pull the whole room back from visual over-crowding, and give all the other beautiful materials their chance to feature.
Luxon, if you trust me on this you will instantly see all the elements in the room settle together in harmony - and you will trust me again on interiors in the future!

Maybe plywood or OSB at back of steps to prevent falling dust/dirt. So table, storage, whatever, stays clean. Very nice project, well-planned & perfect for the space. 👍👍

What a fabulous job, all those angles and dimensions all tightly fit in place and the contrasting colors, well done. There is one thing those, the metal bracket, I think it should of been turned around so the beam went all the way to the floor. I'm so very proud of you its beautiful. Much h love to you. Afriend.
