Adam Waskewics yea, and on a wave that looks like a closeout, kelly goes out there and put a 10 on our closeout waves. it really depends on Who is out there! and of course, no one would complain about a lil offshore breeze and that channel too to make things easier.
I surfed the back side of Catalina. I think it was China point, but huge swell and broke over a rocky reef and into a pseudo bay. No roads there, you need a boat to get to it. Maybe I was lucky because only surfed it once in thirty years of going to the Island.
Looks like Big Rock if you ask me. Note that the camera never looks all the way left when the wave first breaks... Maybe doesn't want you to see a more familiar looking rock shelf?
Ben Weston Beach on the backside, can get huge waves during storms, etc,, I grew up in Avalon on Catalina Island from age 0 to 17 and try and get back every year since 1967 to current 2019
I'm gun build me a high end surf camp right there on them cliffs, hitch a cantina to that, chuck in a surf/yogi skool and make me a tona cash. on the best ten days of each year i will get my goons ta clean out the water and we shall hold a PRO surfing contest! YEEHA!!! I done it globally already! I am the SIC (Surfing Industrial Complex).
I was on Catalina Island in the late 70's, walked across the Island in the hopes of finding a surf spot... Too many steep cliffs and saw a Large fish with a triangular fin and a trailer fin. Water looked too deep and exposed to wind. I'll pass...
I want the last seven minutes of my life back
there are waves on catalina. Shark Harbor. Lived there 7 summers in a row in the 90's.
Any closeout you film in slow motion can look like this.

Even the angle from where the camera is shooting from is usually where big rock is shot

This is so bogus, he arrives in a boat, and apparently drove the boat to the inside section and filmed LMAOOOOO

......one who understands both ends does not stick in the middle........
Lots of whites out there.
Great title. I thought I was alone in loving Mt. Analogue. ;/)
Had to skip through it but that was pretty far out. Wish I could see someone surf it.

A south east swell….LMAO!
