  • I test out two different paints: the cheapest paint I can find without any primer in it and the standard Behr paint with primer on an unfinished drywall wall to see if paying the extra money for quality paint is really worth it.
    0:00 Intro
0:10 Blank wall, one coat of primer and two coats of primer
0:27 PPG without primer is the cheap paint
0:38 Behr Premium Plus is the paint with primer we're going to use
    0:57 Painting Montage!
    1:22 Initial Results!
1:35 Paint without primer covers, but not well
2:12 Paint with primer covers a little better but FEELS much better
2:57 Cheap paint feels dry or powdery, premium paint feels smoother
3:23 Two coats of primer is not worth it
3:31 Final thoughts: premium paint covers better but you'll still need at least two coats
4:27 Recommend one coat of primer and premium paint
The final results: paint with primer feels better and covers a little better, but no matter what paint you use you're going to need multiple coats of paint to really make your wall look good.
