It depends on who you are. An ant’s perspective is very different from a rabbit’s is very different from a human’s, as Benoit Mandelbrot discovered when he explored the conundrum.
Join Luc de Brabandère, in the latest episode of his remarkable series The History of Maths, to learn how considering distance from different perspectives led to the discovery of fractal geometry.

Benoit Mandelbrot was Jewish. He was a Polish-born French-American mathematician who is widely known for his work on fractal geometry and the Mandelbrot set. Mandelbrot was born into a Jewish family in Warsaw, Poland, in 1924. He later moved to France and then to the United States, where he conducted much of his influential research. Throughout his life, Mandelbrot maintained a connection to his Jewish heritage and identified as Jewish.
great video and explanation, I'm very interested in fractal geometry, thank you.
Can believe it's in 2020 I am getting real sense of my high school maths. Lol
so that's the way computer think. That's the basic of all
How much time do computer need to processing 1 session (1bit)?
How we measure the universe maybe at some point
How do you get 1/2 . It is surely 0.481?
It's an infinite sum
What about Walter Russel?
What about him
He used it in his art....
If you want to witness Fractal geometry, just visit Ancient Indian temples 😇
Wasn't Mandelbrot Polish ??
Chaos theory is wrong.
Some aliens say Fractal geometry is God maths
"By Huawei Europe"??? What so China is trying to... hmm what is going on here?
Lol
