- This is one of the first patterns I ever wrote and is by far my most used item! I always carry a mason jar in my bag in case I need water or coffee or even need somewhere to store leftovers. It makes it much easier to avoid single use plastic when i'm out and about.
This coozie helps keep cold drinks cold and hot drinks hot! Plus it's a super cute way to spice up your jar.
It will fit a 16oz regular or wide lid mason jar as well as small and medium commercially available to go cups such as Starbucks, Dunkin, Tim Hortons.
For this pattern you will need:
Bernat Maker Home Dec by Yarnspirations (or another weight 5 yarn)
7 mm crochet hook
Scissors
You will be using single crochet, slip stitch, herringbone stitch, and crab stitch for this pattern.
Read the written pattern on my blog:

My fav to make! Thank you! Great for beginners!
Do you have suggestions for expanding this pattern to fit a 32oz jar (quart size) ?
What if the mason jar has a handle? How do I accommodate the handle please? Thank you.
This pattern will not work on a mason jar using a handle.
I only have weight 4 yarn, can I still make this? What adjustments do I have to make if I use weight 4 yarn? Thanks!
I've heard if you use two strands of 4 weight it makes a 5 weight yarn
You can make it but it will take some adjusting! It’s best if you have a mason jar on hand while making the coozie. Make the circle base large enough to cover the bottom of the mason jar, then follow the pattern in the video. The stitch counts will be different, but end result is the same!
Not great for beginners.
