I do not specifically walk to create a video. The footage generated is just an addition to my walk and is initially used to pause, extract and save still images. This saves me carrying and using an extra camera. I will only generate a video if I feel there is reasonable content. Please bare this in mind before leaving any comments.
I have a camera set up where my Gopro is attached to the right hand strap of my rucksack, running off an external power bank and large memory card. This set up allows me to start the camera to record the duration of the walk, hands free with minimal intervention. This then allows me to enjoy the walk as normal, as well as secondly, generating the footage.
