You my friend have saved me from such a headache, I also have found this works even in "Pixel Persona" as it allows me to Sketch in mirror. Now I don't have to switch between Krita and Affinity when I need to create something symmetrical . Thank you SO MUCH SUBSCRIBED.
Thank You! You explained this so clearly - You solved a problem I needed a solution for, this was my solution. Thank you again for sharing and taking the time to create this video.
Love the way you present material. You show detail and why you are doing it in a particular way. You also show alternate approaches. More of the same please. :) I will be monitoring your space. Thank you !
Rory, I’m new to affinity and have been pulling my hair out looking for a mirror object. Thanks for this lesson. I’m on iPad so there’s a few different ways to look for the tools but hey ho. Cheers
Why in the world is it this complex to have a mirror image effect in this program? I truly wish designer was streamlined and easier to use like autodesk sketchbook but with the vector ability. I don’t know why these higher end design programs can’t be as easy as that.
I thumbed-down your video for this reason: - ‘Space Horizontally/Vertically’ No! Although my rectangles are/were both selected, and all other alignment tools are available, the spacing icon is grayed-out. I have no idea why this would be the case. Spending time to tech-support the program to understand when this option is or is not available is outrageous!
Very well explained example of making a mirror drawing. thank you so much. best by far.
This is so fire and useful even years after it was published. Thank you.
I want to do the upper part and lower part of an eye like shape and have both be connected together so I can use the eye as a mask shape

This is such a great tutorial. I like the way you explain and teach. I have learned a lot and thank you so much.
Yesterday I learned about perspective, now about symmetry. Thank you twice! 👍🏻👍🏻

this is so helpful
Is something like this available for Affinity Photo? Looking to draw symmetric pen lines ...
Not sure, I'm a lazy photo user, so never get to experiment much to find out if those features exist
There is a Symmetry menu in Photo.
So many things missing from this compared to Draw plus in the past. very sad
Please tell me how to get the four corners to match when I apply a dashed line to a rectangle.
I have no option to disable auto distribute

It's a pretty cool shield man.
Thank you!

i appreciate your efforts. nice technique
It could be a 2 min. video. Even at 2x speed it was painful watching :D
5 years later still just as painful lol
Very interesting and informative. Thank you.
Excellent
Good man, Rory. Thank you.
