I’m new to this, don’t have the devises yet, i really like how tou explain your process it helps me to learn so I would like to thank you I like your beats!!!
Diyanna. I am from Hamburg Germany. And thank you so much for your Greatest new jack swing mixes. When i was in the 90s a jung girl we have so much new jack swing partys in the City. It was the best time. And now i found you. Oh mam you are greatfull. Thank you so much i will enjoy jour mix and have a hous party. 🙋i wish you all the best and happy holidays 🎁🎄🎅 God bless you. P.s. sorry for mi Englisch
Haven’t decided on which akai I’m getting. Anything between the mpc one and X, I know, the x is ridiculously expensive, potentially even the force. Got the tr8s so I’m stoked these two pair well. Thanks for the vid!
Great vid. I’ve got a big dawless set up but just use my MPC One for percussion (drum synth/samples). Yes, I don’t have a drum machine. I’m curious as to why you don’t just use the MPC one for your percussion. Honestly, I am looking for a drum machine and am gravitating towards the TR8S, but I thought I’d ask. :)
Great question! I use the MPC sometimes in a live set situation, but it’s not as intuitive and simple to go through instruments as the TR8S. I found there’s more menu diving, and not as easy to know where your sounds and instruments are with the MPC. It’s still a pretty cool sequencer, but if you’re switching between several percs at a time, it’s not ideal for me. TR8s, you can add effects, change levels, tune, etc. right on the dime. The TR8S is a great choice for a drum machine
Hey hey! Great question! I dont see too much of a difference, but I DO like seeing the sounds waves record in real-time. I think that's a nice touch. But yes, using the Sampler is another method too!!
Using looper you can record and over dub, while looping your sequence over and over again. And example if you want to record a melody from your hardware synth, which is looping in your Mpc, you better use looper. Because that overdub function, it does not cut your last notes in the end of your sequence, like sampler would do.
If you want to record in like twenty minutes of audio, the Sampler is great. But what's so cool about the Looper is that you can set it to record 1 to 16 bars from a turn table, synth, drum machine or whatever, and you will get a perfectly synced and timed loop. Whereas, the Sampler doesn't record in "bars," you give it a specific time to record.
Thinking aloud- could you send TR8S audio via usb to the MPC? My curiosity is piqued, but I’m thinking the needed driver for the 8S might prevent it from working (I own the mk1 Live, Akai Force, and TR I plan on doing techno sets with). I’m loving the NJS beats btw, are they drum samples imported to the 8S or well crafted internal 8S sounds?
Hey hey! From my understanding, I’m sending audio through RCA…I’m unsure if you can do that by usb only 😬 The NJS sounds I use on the 8S are a mixture of both. If you wanna really get funky with, layer some snares 😎
Plus you could connect each TR8S output to a distinct input on class compliant mixer, like the Model 12, and then m a y b e connect the mixer to the MPC One via USB, assigning each input to its own track. I’ve got the MPC One and Model 12 but have only tried separating each MPC One channel to a specific mixer channel, successfully. I’ll poke around :)
@UCToDb9KllJ7ZMa3km3s2ehw I got TR8S today. I already have Mpc live. I knew that TR8S can´t record unquantized, so i had an idea to use Mpc as a sequencer. Then i scratched my head off, how tf i could do that.. Finally i switched that "Omni mode" in TR8S midi settings on. It works! Now they work properly as they should:)
@@joonasautero661 what MIDI settings did you use in the MPC? Would Like to do it the same way: MPC pads trigger TR-6S sounds. Use knobs and FX from the TR-6S to alter sounds. Thx!

Hi Diyanna, what are the advantages of using the Looper rather than the Sampler?

you separate in the daw so you can control each sound
I prefer to use my Mpc pads to trigger TR-8S sounds and record them unquantized on to my Mpc grid. :D
Yea! That’s a way too! Great for you 🙌🏾⚡️

Would this also work on the tr 08?
I want a TR-8S so I can sample it into my MPC One :) or Behringer RD-8 and RD-9.
Yup, you cant go wrong w/ this setup!! Thanks for checking out this vid! I appreciate ya!!!!
