Whenever I hear this I always think of that scene from _The Adventures of Pete and Pete_ where Lil' Pete runs away from home to Canada on a riding mower.
When I first played this game, I for some reason did not expect a Cotton Eye Joe cover as background music. Not sure why, it kind of does fit when you think about it.
Do hate to be "that guy", but it looks like this wasn't looped properly. Beginning at the 3:05 mark, you restart it around the 1:37 mark, when it should actually be looping back to about 0:03 (well, not quite in all technicality as the first loop onward doesn't have that little break you hear at the beginning, but I digress). Thus, this loop skips almost a minute and a half of the whole piece. Again, I don't like being "that guy" but it was something I had noticed after listening for a while and thinking it was less repetitive than this.

Rare should’ve included this as a Spiral Mountain song in Smash Ultimate. It would’ve fit so well.

This sounds like it should be in both 'Smokey and the Bandit' and in 'Dukes of Hazzard'
The combination of the instrument choices is, interesting imo, but very welcome
