I've just sat watching your 30min video and thought it's entirety you maybe got 2-3 bullet points correct. It's extremely insensitive to cover a topic with such little information and this is precisely the reason I never wanted our story produced or published, if anyone wants real resources for semi informative, and at least mostly correct, American monster season 8 episode 5 is about my mother and step father and was told from the perspective of the families. Me and my sisters deserve to have our story told properly and not be forced to relive our traumas in a manner that isn't even in line with how they truly happened.
You don't need $ for Family Court. You can get a court appointed lawyer, & admittedly that isn't necessarily the best help, but if you cannot afford to pay for a lawyer, whose fees are frankly ridiculous, & sadly, even those lawyers aren't necessarily great. For example, my daughter's ex recently took her to court to take custody of my granddaughter. He has no real job, but his mom will pay for anything, so they hired a lawyer from NYC (we live upstate), & my daughter got the court appointed lawyer. Not only did he not get custody, but his visits got reduced, which were already pretty limited from the first time he took her to court. He then hired a new, expensive guy, who is very aggressive, but her ex just cannot tell the truth, so he is still losing. This story was already terrible, but the court not handling this is so wrong too.

I lived in a town once that only had 228 people. The town had a grain company owned by a local family. The guy who owned it and ran it, was an older man and his wife. He was cheating on her. Everyone knew. Well, she found out. So what did he do? Raped her, hog tied her up on her stomach naked, beat her, then took her out to a field to his small crop dusting plane. And was planning to drop her from the plane to kill her. But luckily she got away before he threw her out the plane. He got arrested thankfully. He has a million dollar cash bail. He paid it. Thankfully he was sentenced to like 25 to life. I just moved there too at the time. It was so horrible and sad. Even in the smallest of towns, things go down.

If people outside the home knew, and so many people at that, Cameron absolutely knew as well. he deserves the 10 years. Obviously the family dynamics are fucked up and that’s the only reason i don’t believe he deserves more. I think 10 years is adequate time to think about how helping his family screwed him over, and hopefully that’s enough to get him to go no contact and be a better person. I doubt it but it’s possible.
It wasn't he lives just miles from the church where his sister murdered my mother and drives down my hometown road everyday to get to his house. I'm 21 now and can't even go home still.

Edit also ben and melissa actually won custody from the junkie mom...which is what set her off
So their other family members were asked to be hitmen and absolutely none of them thought hmm I should tell the police this. Doesn’t that make them a tiny bit guilty since they knew they wanted to kill somebody. How can someone just brush that kind of question off????
