This is the type of film you remake, not Halloween or Hellraiser. I'll never forgot seeing this in theaters with a huge group of friends in high school. Far from perfect but so much fun and a beautiful cast... 😍🕯😱
@@CandieP ......😂, this must have been universal because I'm sure my theater had the same reaction. I, however, always had love for Paris because of the Simple Life and how she didn't t just rest on her wealth. She really put herself out there.
I could've sworn you and Eddie already covered this before. While I was watching the movie before this episode remember that you guys mentioned Jared letting the girl sit next to the creepy guy and what was up with the 3rd brother lol
Fun fact : this movie is actually a remake of two different horror movies, "House Of Wax", and the 70's movie "Tourist Trap". Although technically the Vincent Price "House Of Wax" is also a remake of the 1930's horror "Mystery Of The Wax Museum ".
So excited to watch this. This movie is one of those movies that I just love and have fond memories of, even if it’s not a great movie. It’s just fun to watch, and the gore is pretty effective. The fingers getting cut and also the face peeling off still gross me out.
I enjoy this movie a lot. I think it got a bad rap just because Paris Hilton was in it, but I think it was cast well and they did a very good job in a cool small town setting. Plus the style & the actors in it just scream 2005 and who doesnt like a mid 00’s trip down memory lane! 😃
I like Carly & Nick getting the camcorder at the end. We, as the audience, know the horror that was filmed on that - and they don't. I liked that being included in the ending and always thought it was intentionally dark. Shocked you guys collectively thought that was a mistake?
It's so funny you guys reviewed this movie. Me and my roommate got sneak preview tickets to see this back in the day. Everyone in line was chatting away about our expectations for how it was going to be. Then afterwards everyone hated it except the part (spoilers) were Paris Hilton dies. This was during the height of her (?) popularity and we were over it. Thanks for a great video and wonderful job on the editing. Looking forward to more great watches.
@thecherrypicker zac and Eric the house of wax 2005 remake is actually chad Michael Murray and Jared padalecki known for/ from Gilmore girls show as Tristan and dean in a horror movie, Paris Hilton is niece of Kyle Richards from Halloween movie , the actor who played Paris Hilton's love interest in the movie is from nickelodeon cousin skeeter and Elisha aka Carly is from tv show 24 aka jack bauer's daughter, Chad is best friends with Jared but jared didn't like his death scene in the movie . It was paris's first horror movie and she was trying to be like her aunt
The director of the movie, Jaume Collet-Serra, started out in mainstream cinema with the debut of this (because obviously Horror remakes were mainstream between 2002 and 2012) and he still continues to do maintream movies till now (even Orphan, in 2009 horror movies got more experimental like Splice, Human Centipede). And since his movies are relatively well crafted and make money, all of his movies happen to become known by the public and he's still getting work. Bye the way, I wanna remind you of the other Dark Castle Horror movie "GHOST SHIP (2002)" which is of course perfect for this show (as everyone who's seen it can agree on)
The only scene that was mildly frighting for me personally would be when vincent the killer was stareing through the window a small jump scare. What whould have been a more frighting too see, would have been too see how the 2 villians childhood was/ or whould have been like. How the towns population slowly deminished too just 2.
I love this movie. One of the most original and creative slashers out there. The sets are amazing and the kills really fun. Also, Paris Hilton does a better job than Elisha Cuthbert. Imagine what a twist, if she had lived and Carly died.

OMG I saw it in theaters also with a group of friends from High School and I’ll never forget the roaring applause when Paris character was killed. 🫣

I watched this in october with a bunch of other horror movies, absolutely love it.

I have somehow missed seeing this one, but as I'm listening I've been thinking that it sounds an awful lot like Tourist Trap.

Thank you!
Glad everyone enjoyed my comment on Lorenzo
this is such a great horror film. I’m surprised y’all are so nitpicky about this

I actually enjoyed house of wax for what it was, if you ignore paris hilton the performances are pretty good and there's some great visual effects
That premise in aloof Paris voice had me rolling 😂
