    Congrats on the 145 pass. I just got a pb of 145 today also in my limitless.
    I will agree with someone below about getting the perfect pass springs, they made a world of difference with mine.

      I ordered the springs and the module. Thank you.

      the spring help control the stability and also keeps your front end from dipping when your stopping at high speeds. Keep the body from scraping and sending you into a spin while stopping at those speeds.

    Congrats, on the runs today. Time for the foams. It's all about space. That is an awesome road you have as well. The sweet spot for the spur is between 34- and 36, and then go up on your pinion. so I do 34p/36s. But the bigger your pinion on a 34-36 spru will make the tires turn faster. By the way I have all my gears locked up with ear plugs, take one per gear, just stuff it in. or you can do 500K in the rear and 200K in the front with the spool, got that info from RAZ on one of his build videos. The Springs by RAZ will keep your car very stable and helps with stopping when your finished. Your spring are in the correct position. I also use Dura Collar 5/32 bulk inside my front shocks it lowers the car/truck without using the droop screws, which can mess up your steering. I got that from Jim McCoy's build video. Perfect height on the front after the install with the RAS PP Springs. Then tight them all the way down like you have now. I spoke with RAZ one day, and told him what my gears were, and when I mention my pinion, he ask why so small. So I'm guessing my spur was good but my pinion was too small, and i was below 390 amps, but I ran 127 mph. So I went with a bigger pinion on my 34 spur.Now I'm at 36P/34S, have not ran it yet. I suggest the springs and main drive shafts, to cut down on the vibrations. I don't have the V2 limitless, I hear the drive shaft is a bit better. But You did really great on this run. By the way, bring super glue if your going to run those tires. Repair the tire with the glue, and wrap some tape around the tire, and it will be fine. Liquid rubber also works as well...

      What radio would you recommend? I'm considering getting the Futaba 10PX with an R2006GX aircraft receiver, and possibly adding the GYC470 gyro.

      @@SpeedBoostRC I have the first version of the radiolink, it serves its purpose really well. I would not invest over 125.00 for a radio. They are quite useless. You need forward, reverse, and stop. Nothing else. Your oem radio will do what you need it to do. Those guys with the expensive radios are laughed at, because it doesn't improve their skills, or get them wins. I got a few of the DX5C radios threw purchases. I would never buy anything like that, it's quite useless. Usually the guys with those expensive radios have no clue of how to set it up. So don't go wasting your hard earned money on useless radios with all the light and buttons.

      @@JasonGunn418 Yea but I want something better than the DX3. I want something that offers some throttle control. The RadioLink RC8X would be good to. It has awsome range.

      @@SpeedBoostRC I use Raz's speed module, it cheaper and works great. I got several runs in today on the very long road we have here. With the PP Module, you don't have to make any adjustments, plug and play, that simple.

      @@SpeedBoostRC I do understand, The radio link had some software issues when it was released. So I would check into that first, make sure they got those updates correct. But again I would not spend over 125.00. Just not worth it. Question have you tried to send your car so far that it goes out of range? I have not, my cars stay connected with the DX3 and DX5C, and my first gen radiolink. I have not seen anyone in real time lose connection with their RC car. Even the guys I know doing over 189 in my area.

    I would also get Raz’s speed run springs. They are not that expensive!

    • @SpeedBoostRC
      @SpeedBoostRC  20 днів тому

      I looked into them at one point, but I don’t know enough about this stuff to fully understand what they do and how they’ll help. Right now, I’ve got the springs set as stiff as they can go, so the suspension is already really tight. Do you think making it even tighter would make a noticeable difference?

    • @GregoryMcGehee-ex3cl
      @GregoryMcGehee-ex3cl 20 днів тому

      @@SpeedBoostRC You can replace your springs and they will be so stiff that the car won’t squat. I replaced mine in 20 minutes and the cost was $35ish unless Raz went up. It avoids needing fuel tubing inside which most of the best speed run guys do (until Raz came out with these). They are black and look awesome too! That is all you have to do with your springs.

    Are you letting the Limitless cool down between runs? It’s not good for the motor or ESC to run it hot. It will shorten the life considerably. Congrats on the PB! I would ditch the GRPs and just run foams. 😎

    • @gcarterer

      Any esc or 50mph is gonna get "hot" Run it!!

    • @SpeedBoostRC
      @SpeedBoostRC  20 днів тому +1

      Yes, we usually have a solid 5 to 10 minutes between runs to cool off. At this point, my GRPs are primarily for testing purposes. I managed to push the grey XM7s to 135 mph without any problems, but the black XM5s failed on me twice. Lesson learned-it's foams only from here on out!

    Get the hard compound grp xm7 on white wheels I did 135mph on them gear at 37s 34p on mmx8s w the 1717 1650kv limitless v1 but gp5 I’m running front 1m and 200k rear for diff fluid and no fishing lines on tires another thing is don’t get tires too warm because it’s rubber
