Hi Dane. Thank u 4 all your tips, advices and information. I passed my test today in my first attempt and big part of my success was thanks your UA-cam Channel. Keep going 😘
Third time is the charm just passed today. Binged watch your videos the night before. There was an instance in my test where one of your videos literally saved me. Thanks man I love you, keep posting videos. I will be recommending your channel to anyone who is taking their driving test. I’m so happy thanks a million 👍
Passed my test today first try 😁. Your videos really helped me to stay calm and to pull off all the the turnabout and the reverse around the corner. Would highly recommend these videos to all learner drivers
Passed my driving test yesterday in Carlow, took a few goes but got there in the end - your videos were a huge help and I will definitely be recommending to any one else learning - thanks a million!
Can’t thank you enough for your videos I watched them constantly I’m driving 4 months have my license for 6 months 🤞🏼 passed my full test on the 20th 3 faults so happy keep up with your videos doing amazing
Hi Dane, I have passed my driving test successfully after watching most of your videos and advices keep in mind ... Thank you so much for these videos😀
I do try to do everything I can do drive properly. And know everything but I know it's to much pressure. But I do need to relax more and loosen up. And I know it's important to drive on the left. Especially if it's in a three lane road. And I got to remember those for the. Driving Test as well.
I failed just for the right turn, Instructor said, the oncoming truck could hit me at Raheny in Dublin. Unfortunately I got so many grade 2, why not any 1 grade😢
Hi Dane! Many thanks first of all for your dedication to making us a better driver, I have a little doubt there where you explained to change the lane from 1 to 3. I understand I can not straight jump from 1 to 3 but should I keep my indicator on throughout the period of changing one to three? what if there is a car already in the 3rd lane? in that case, should I turn off my indicator to the right and keep on going straight or can I slow down there or completely stopped to get space on lane 3? what if I keep going forward and I may pass my right turn lane? hope you understand my question. thank you
There's nothing wrong with keeping the indicator on, it's an intention and doesn't give you any automatic priority. If you miss your turn then too bad, exit at the next opportunity and go from there.
So when I'm at the traffic lights I should have handbrake on and put the gear in first gear and have my foot down on the accelerater and my other foot on the break to be ready to move off is that it?
Don't accelerate while the light is red because you're just wasting fuel, one foot on the clutch and the other ready over the acceleration, why would you press the brake?
Hi Dane. Thanks for the great content! I have a question if you don’t mind. For the hill starts I struggle to pull up the handbrake with one arm and have to use both hands to get it up to the point it doesn’t roll back. Do you know if this will be acceptable in the test, or can you only use one hand? Using only one arm the car still rolls back and I have to use my brake pedal to stop it.
It's not ideal, my suggestion would be to consider another car or get it fixed. It would depend on the tester, there's no consistency among them so it's hard to say what an individual would do.
Hi Dane! sorry for bothering again, I was doing my driving lesson the other day and I am in an automatic car it is a Yaris 2006 so It doesn't stop itself rolling back like the modern automatic car, I asked my instructor should I use the hand brake at the traffic lights? he answered not necessary as you are in an automatic car? is it right to do so? or I must apply a hand brake at the traffic lights? secondly, when I use my handbrake at the traffic light should I change my gear to Neutral or can keep it in D? Lastly, My car has a trip tonic gearbox (AUTO & MANUAL MODE) as it is not a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) gearbox, so if I am not extra extra careful with my accelerator sometimes it jerks or jump slightly at the start of the driving when possibly gear changes from 1 to 2 after it settles. It happens the same when reversing. I have my driving test coming up on July 5th, my question is should I explain this situation to my driving examiner at the beginning of the test? I Hope, you understand my question. thank you again
It's good to use the handbrake at lights because it makes the car more secure and safe, it's not a case of "must" or if you don't then you'll never be allowed to drive again. It's about discretion. Best to wait in D. I've no idea what you are referring to with the jump, if you use the brake will that make a difference?
@@DaneTygheletsdrive Hi Dane! Thanks for your answer, it doesn't happen when I brake, it little jerks when I accelerate from 0 to 20km I spoke with the mechanics he told me, it happens with this certain type of gearbox (Triptonic ) just have to be more careful with the acceleration. It is not so important Dane, please ignore this question, you are already too busy providing us lots of good things I don't really want to waste your time with this. Thank you so much again for your answer.
I have my second test on Tuesday (failed the first) do I need to have the gear in nutural and handbrake up while waiting in traffic for example or is it ok to keep it in first with clutch depressed and handbrake up. Thank you so much for your videos
The Irish driving test is a scam... I've been driving for almost 30 years in New York. Moved here and failed my first 2 tests. My driving instructor says I drive good but then fail the test twice . Same tester both times. Carlow county
Why are you failing? What's the reason? Just because you drove for 30 years Stateside does not mean you can drive to the standards required in Ireland, it's a completely different ball game here.
Yes but if you're on the wrong side of the road it's not going to fill the tester with confidence regrettably. It can be dangerous or potentially dangerous to warrant getting a grade 3 mark and in this case potentially dangerous.
Hi Dale just a quick question, in my last test I got 3 faults for progress at the roundabout but I only did a single roundabout so I think all 3 were for the same roundabout. Is it 1 fault per lack of progress or just 1 per roundabout if you know what I mean
well, those are the results off the stupid idea to learn to drive from "mom" or from paraplegic grandparents and not from a licensed driving instructor

My instructor said that, no indicator required While taking a turnabout, but what i have heard is to indicate right
You do indicate right yes
I got one question when I went for the test.
What is a flashing red light?
Level crossing, train approaching.
I failed just for the right turn, Instructor said, the oncoming truck could hit me at Raheny in Dublin. Unfortunately I got so many grade 2, why not any 1 grade😢
Hi Dane just wondering at traffic lights do we need to use handbrake and foot brake both for automatic car??
Handbrake but not footbrake while waiting.
After turning green light, is it okay to wait in yellow box 😉until move right

Pressure more gas I.e accelator only rpm voice more but car never stop
Done my test today, only one grade 3 and 2 grade 2. Its a fail but not a bad fail

how long did you wait until you got another test date?

immediately apply for next test after failure but you get date after 6 weeks
Better Do not do in test
It's good to wait in 1st gear and use the handbrake if stopping at lights or over 4 or 5 seconds.

Dane I recently failed because of a grade 3 reversing around the corner, is this rare?
You probably hit the curb or failed for observation most likely. Don’t beat yourself down I failed twice and just passed today. You will get there!
@@gonext3395 Don't think it was either it was the opposite i think (too far away from the curb)
If the tester felt you were dangerously wide then that would be a fail. It's not really unusual.
