In sincere prayer of repentance, reading from Hosea, I asked God to help me dedicate myself to Him fully. And He showed me to wash my face, annoint my head with oil and to cover my hair. I already had the fabric ... I always have what I need! This was the first tutorial I found. This has all happened in the last fifteen minutes!
I am God's beloved! He is my husband and I am fully devoted!

I had a similar experience at n pray to deal with my pride and letting God lead my life fully. I never knew of Christian head covering and for 2 months straight every single video and article I saw, it didn’t matter if I researched food, homeschooling, cleaning, etc, the creator would be a head covering woman.
Yep, my pride was that strong it took 2 months of Holy Spirit showing me the way before I tried.
It was immediately freeing and just a great symbol that God is the head and I don’t have to make all the decisions on my own. I need to seek God and my husband is also capable of making choices for our family, especially in areas that stress me or we can’t compromise on I can relinquish it to him.

Hello, The Lord has put headcovering on my heart. I do get concerned about being mistaken for a Muslim woman because I also have been growing in a love for modesty. Unfortunately these things are not synonymous with women on the Lord so this is really helpful!

I have the same concerns about being mistaken for a Muslim; the deliberate stray hairs would fix that, but then I think I'd just look like a Gypsy?

One Of Your French Girls yeah what I’ve been thinking to do is have some styles that cover less hair on occasion and maybe not obsess with keeping it on if it’s not a time of prayer but as a nice accessory. I’m not incredibly sure but it’s definitely a worth while journey☺️

God knows your heart 💗 other people's opinions don't matter. I've been covering for about a month. People look at me weird, some embrace it. I love it! Especially as a white woman, people aren't expecting me to cover my head because white women usually don't .The only Christians who have disagreed with me covering my head for God were honestly the white ones, which I think has its roots in racism. If you feel like you want to cover your head, go for it!! I wish you well!

Honestly, only the people who really care about you or are interested are going to ask. You will get looks but it's ok. Do not fear for you are following the Lord's commandments for you. We are the strong women of the Lord and are to set examples for others in our communities, and the more of us that do it the more common it becomes and the more comfortable other women will feel doing it because you had the courage to set the example. Jesus did not come to unite but to divide. We are supposed to stand out and stand apart. If you need to just do as I do, wear a cross necklace as well. We are women of the Lord!!!! YES!

I post on the subject of head coverings a lot. The hair itself
is the covering. A woman's hair should be somewhat (or much)
longer than men's .The covering is the hair. It is the only way
this can make sense. (I have a short essay on this. Reply if desired.)

Sure, there are close minded and hateful people everywhere. You will also run into many people from all walks of life who see the beauty/self expression in head wrapping and stop you just to tell you how beautiful your wraps are/ask you where they can find wraps like yours/how to wrap like that ♥️ Live true to yourself and the rest will follow ✌️

Can someone explain why this ministry uses the Saturn symbol? I just got out of the new age and am very confused why in the world a Messianic ministry would associate with such a pagan symbol

    • @marcelladyer795
      @marcelladyer795 4 роки тому +4

Very good Question 🤔 Saturn is named after the Roman god of wealth and agriculture; its astronomical symbol (♄) represents the god's sickle and this ministry is called “The Harvest”. We can all decide for ourselves now what is truth or deception.

    • @annpuckett281
      @annpuckett281 4 роки тому +5

Marcella Dyer yes, I am very familiar with it as I used to worship Saturn when I was in the occult but now that I am worshiping YHWH I am shocked to see this symbol used for following Yeshua.

    • @GraftedInDotCom
      @GraftedInDotCom  4 роки тому +11

The short answer is that we do not use a Saturn symbol we use a star symbol. BTW - Saturn is a planet, not a star. Our star symbolizes the Star of Jacob (Israel) as found in Numbers 24. This Star of Israel would later find traction in the person and ascension of David, son of Jesse, who would become a messianic King over all of Israel. From his descendants would come the Messiah, who is also is associated with a symbol of a star. His name is Yeshua, son of David, “the bright morning star” (Rev. 22). As one can see, the symbol of a star representing Israel, King David, and ultimately the Messiah, goes all the way back to the days of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. That pagans also use star and or planet symbols for their gods does not in any way discredit or delegitimize God using star symbols to teach us about His Son, the Messiah of the world. This is why we employ the Star of David. It represents the Messiah!
I know this can be confusing. The enemy has always stolen God’s ideas and ways, perverting them for his own use. He is the master counterfeiter. So, if some pagans use star symbols for their planetary deities, you can expect them to resemble what God has already given us as symbols for His truths. That is the essence of counterfeiting. It is designed to confuse people. I hope this very brief explanation helps.

Corinthians 11:6 is the key verse. If a woman has no covering while assembling or praying then her hair should be cut off. So hair and the
the covering cannot be the same thing.
Indeed, this is proven by the man not to have a 'covering' on his head
    when praying to God.
If the hair was the 'covering' then he would have to cut off his hair
each time before prayers, or of course, be bald.

John 14:6 KJV, "Jesus saith, I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
1 Peter 2:24 NIV, "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed."
John 3:16 KJV, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life".
Romans 3:23-24 NIV, "...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus".
John 8:12 KJV, "I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life".
Jesus is the only WAY to God, the TRUTH of salvation, and the Breath/Bread of LIFE.
ACCEPT Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Sins separate us from God because He's Holy. All sins will be forgiven and erased through faith in Christ Jesus. God ♥ you, is alive, merciful, faithful, truthful, and is waiting with His arms wide open FOR YOU! For Jesus did not come to establish a religion, but to become a mediator between God and men.
Through the Grace of God, Jesus was given to us by paying the price at the Cross at Calvary. Repent and confess from your sins to Jesus and ask Him to forgive you. A sinner cannot save a sinner, only a sinless person can. That sinless Being is Jesus Christ Himself.
Through the faith in Christ Jesus, the sick was healed; everywhere He went, He healed the blind, the mute, the deaf, the demon-possessed, raised the dead, as well as performed many miracles; He also walked on water, turned water into wine, calmed the storm with His command, and was raised up from the dead. Miracles are still being seen today! Jesus is our helper, our healer, our refuge/protection, and our strength for when time gets tough.
God is standing and knocking at the door waiting for your answer right now because THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS COMING.

When stepping into the journey of headcovering, many women struggle to find confidence in wearing their headcovering outside the home as it is not culturally acceptable in the western mindset. if you read the Whole chapter of 1 CORINTHIAN 11:1-16 you can perfectly see how in verses 1-10 Saint Paul is explaing how the veil was used as a submision to men as the Head of the women, verses 1- 10 and thats why he said in verse 4-5 "Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head. But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head" because he was explaining the tradition that was use before Jesus coming but then in verse 11 he explais that after jesus we are equal in front of God, and our veil is our hair, and just as it is dishonorable for a man to pray with his head covered, it is the same for a woman, since God gave us the hair. 1CORINTHIANS 11: 11 -16:
"Nevertheless, IN THE LORD woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. 12 For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God.13 JUDGE FOR YOURSELVES: Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? 14 Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him, 15 BUT THAT IF A WOMAN HAS LONG HAIR, IT IS HER GLORY? FOR LONG HAIR IS GIVEN TO HER AS A COVERING. 16 If anyone wants to be contentious about this, we have no other practice-nor do the churches of God.
arent we rejecting the equally gift that Jesus give us acording to Galatians 3: 26 -28?
26"So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

@@gissie391 Grant Me Not to Judge My Brother”
Those familiar with Lenten liturgy will recognize the title as part of the Lenten “Prayer of St. Ephraim the Syrian”, which reads in part, “O Lord and Master of my life…grant me to see my own transgressions, and not to judge my brother, for You are blessed unto ages of ages.” This prayer is not the only part of our tradition which forbids us to judge. The counsel of the Desert Fathers is replete with admonitions not to judge our brethren. And Holy Scripture says the same. St. Paul says, “Let not him who eats disdain him who does not eat, and let not him who does not eat judge him who eats…Who are you to judge the servant of another? (Rom. 14:3f). St. James says the same: “Do not speak against one another, brethren. He who speaks against a brother or judges his brother speaks against the Law and judges the Law…There is only one Lawgiver and Judge” (James 4:11f). Such an apostolic attitude goes back to the Lord Himself. In His sermon on the mount, He said, “Judge not, lest you be judged. In the way you judge you will be judged…Why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log in your own eye? First take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye ” (Mt. 7:1f). The teaching is clear: we are not to judge.
But this is not the only part of our tradition which speaks about judging. In other New Testament passages we are commanded to judge. In his letter to the Corinthians, St. Paul said, “I wrote to you not to associate with any so-called brother if he should be immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard or a swindler-do not even eat with such a one. For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Do you not judge those within the church? But those who are outside, God judges. Remove the wicked one from among yourselves” (1 Cor. 6:11f). This command and expectation of judgment is echoed by the Lord as well: “Why do you not even on your own initiative judge what is right?” “Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment” (Lk. 12:57, Jn. 7:24). On the one hand, we are forbidden to judge, and on the other hand, we are commanded to judge. What’s going on?
We are not the first ones to notice this apparent discrepancy in the tradition. St. John Chrysostom, that passionate and careful exegete, also noticed these varying counsels. In his homilies on the Sermon on the Mount, commenting on the Lord’s command “Judge not, lest you be judged”, the preacher of Antioch and Constantinople says the following:
“What then? Ought we not to blame them that sin? Because Paul [in Rom. 14] also says the same thing: ‘Why do you judge your brother? Who are you to judge the servant of another?’...How then does Paul say elsewhere [in 1 Tim. 5], ‘Them that sin rebuke in the presence of all?’ And Christ too says to Peter [in Mt. 18], ‘If your brother sins, go and reprove him in private, and if he refuses to hear, take to yourself another also, and if even then he does not yield, declare it to the church’. And how has Christ set us clergy over so many to reprove, and not only to reprove, but also to punish?”
Perhaps not surprisingly, Chrysostom could not only see the problem, but also its solution. We quote at length once again:
“[In the command “Judge not, lest you be judged”, Christ speaks] to them that are full of innumerable ills, and are trampling upon other men for trifles. And I think that certain Jews too are here hinted at, for while they were bitterly accusing their neighbours for small faults that came to nothing, they were themselves committing deadly sins…And the Corinthians too, Paul did not command absolutely not to judge, but not to judge their own superiors; [they should] not refrain from correcting them that sin… ‘What then!’ you say, ‘if one commit fornication, may I not say that fornication is a bad thing, and correct him that is fornicating?’ Correct him, but not as a foe, nor as an enemy exacting a penalty, but as a physician providing medicine. For Christ did not say, ‘Do not stop him who is sinning’, but rather ‘judge not’-that is, ‘do not be bitter in pronouncing sentence’...Christ does not forbid judging, but commands you first to take out the log from your own eye, and only then set right the doings of the rest of the world”.
It is in this extended bit from one of Chrysostom’s sermons (Homily 23 on Matthew’s Gospel), that we can see the common sense and pastoral care of the Church. The prohibitions against judging were never meant to suspend or blunt our moral faculties. They were never intended to induce moral confusion, wherein we could not recognize sin and brokenness for what they are, nor to induce a muddle-headed cowardice wherein we were reluctant to rebuke sin. Rather, the prohibitions against judging were meant to save us from Pharisaical self-righteousness, from a spiritual blindness which can see all sins except our own. It is fatally easy to arrogate to ourselves the roles of accuser, judge, and jury, and to condemn our brethren for trifles, when we ourselves commit either the same offenses or even greater ones. And let’s be honest: most of the time we judge our brethren, we condemn them for insignificant things-for making the Sign of the Cross “wrong”, for not fasting as we think they should, for indulging the same behaviours that we ourselves also often exhibit. And when we judge them, we do it because it makes us feel good: “O God, I thank You, that I am not as other men are…” Most of the time we judge others, we are dressed in the long robes of the Pharisees. At these times, the word of the Lord is clear: “Judge not, lest you be judged.”
But there are other times when judgment is essential, and when it would be sinful not to do it. St. Paul mentioned these times, as did our Lord. Even the Law knew that there were times when love required open rebuke: “You shall not hate your brother in your heart; you may surely reprove your neighbour, and not incur sin because of him” (Lev. 19:17). This is especially the task of the clergy, who are set as watchmen upon the walls (see Heb. 13:17). To them especially applies the word to the watchmen: “When I say to the wicked, ‘O wicked man, you shall surely die,’ and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood I will require from your hand” (Ezek. 33:8). If we love our brethren, and see them walking headlong into wickedness and disaster, we will surely reprove them. If we do not, they shall die in their iniquity, and some of their guilt will be ours.
Though our Lord’s words about not judging are misused by many today, and made into an absolute, an ability to judge sin and a willingness to reprove it are crucial if the Church is to fulfill its role of spiritually forming her children. This ability to see and condemn sin is called by St. Paul aisthesis, sometimes translated “discernment, perception, insight, moral understanding”. Paul prayed that the love of his dear Philippians would “abound in all knowledge and aisthesis, so that [they] might approve the things which are excellent in order to be blameless for the Day of Christ” (Phil. 1:9-10). Their joy on the Last Day depended upon the health and growth of this moral faculty. Only by discerning which things were excellent and which things were sinful could they be blameless before Christ’s Judgment Seat. It is the same for us as well. The Church is a bulwark and pillar of the truth, a light shining in the midst of a dark and sinful world (1 Tim. 3:15, Phil. 2:15). We are charged by God with knowing what is true righteousness, and of living it in such a way so that all can see its beauty. We fail God, our children and ourselves if we allow the world to blunt our sense of the difference between righteousness and sin, if we become reluctant to see and judge sin for what it is. Our message is always, “Repent, for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Mt. 4:17), and like the apostles we must go out and tell men to repent (Mk. 6:12). For this we need aisthesis, and a willingness to judge-starting with ourselves. The weary world languishes in sin, and desperately needs to be called home

...the head should be veiled and the face covered...
” But I do not wish chaste women to afford cause for such praises to those who, by
praises, hunt after grounds of censure; and not only because it is prohibited to expose the ankle,
but because it has also been enjoined that the head should be veiled and the face covered; for it is
a wicked thing for beauty to be a snare to men. Nor is it seemly for a woman to wish to make herself
conspicuous, by using a purple veil. Would it were possible to abolish purple in dress, so as not to
