Great video! It's always refreshing to see someone who's not afraid to get their hands dirty. Your knowledge and skills are impressive, and your positive attitude is contagious. I especially enjoyed your tips on changing the oil filter and your love for classic country music. Keep up the great work!
Quick little tip in case nobody has mentioned it before; after you install the new o-ring on the filter cap, take a small flathead screwdriver or a brad nail and get it under the ring. Then go around the cap underneath the ring in case it twisted when installed. Helps prevent nicks or tears in the o-rings.
I like the air shut-off pressure valve stem thingys. I have a pump, that I can set the desired tire pressure and then step away. It will shut itself off once it reaches the pressure I set it for. This is the safest way I know how to mess with tires. Or as they say in the petrochemical refineries: Keep It Safe, Keep It Clean, Keep It Running.
Hi beautiful... Always hated changing combine engine oil because of that long drop tube. Seems to take forever. If you start it up and run it for a bit the oil thins out and drains better but I know you already know that. Have a safe and bountiful harvest this year. Prices are in the tank but you probably already know that too. Wish I could see your face. I'll bet you have beautiful eyes...
After filling a reservoir up to its fill line, be sure to note if it's a hot liquid or cold liquid mark or read what the manufacturer suggest. Often, once an engine gets hot, it sucks the reservoir empty and it will need even more fluid, until the proper fluid level is reached, then fill up to the line marking full.
When you said oil change… first thought was, oh no… we fixin to see an oil spill! You opened the drain and oil came out the drain tube and completely missed the bucket I busted out laughing.. Every damn time! Lol.
My combines are the predecessor to yours so very different in a lot of ways but I see they still use that engine crank case breather tube for double duty as per draining the engine oil through it. I have some tips that might be helpful ( and lessen the spillage factor ... I know from my own messes LOL ). One thing is sure the same, its a slow drain so I make sure to warm the engine right up good just before starting the drain process and yes I always pull the ignition key of any equipment when draining vital fluids in case someone forgets or assumed it was ready to go and start the engine that has no oil in it !. I have made extension hoses I store away and pull them out and slide them onto the outside of the drain pipe on the combines, I have the hoses just long enough that they are just nicely above the top of the pails I use ( I use 5 gallon plastic pails that had oil at one time and popped the lids off ) as that way its an easy aim as well as if its windy out. My god have I made messes with wind whipping around and taking the little stream of oil and splattering it on the combine and ground !. Also I have gotten in the habit of spinning the dipstick loose ( I leave it in the hole though so nothing can fall into the engine ) as that is what allows air to freely enter the crank case to help the flow speed up as the breather hose now becoming the drain hose causes a vacuum in the crank case and slows down the flow of oil otherwise. If I can after I have changed oil so that job is done, I like to leave the combine sit over night and I leave a pail under the drain hose as it takes many hours for that oil to finally stop dripping out of the drain system ... as I shake my head at the design.
Should mark with paint marker...on the under carriage of combine where the oil spill out tube roughly lands ...just so you will know Emma yes maintenance is key good job 👍.
Ebaby is puttin it down for real and you know how to show case yourself as well a stone 🪨 cold stacked up from the ground up brick 🧱 house bangin MoMA ooowee just don't break nothin on your fine self seriously Damm keep it real 😊💯

You are a woman of many talents impressive like my father said it's good to know how to do things on your own because having someone else do it for you will cost you a great deal! I bet you could teach me a thing or two. 🔥🚜💯
I don't own a combine or any John Deere for that matter but it looked like a very educational video so I decided to watch this anyway just in case I might get one someday. Thanks for the tutorial 😃
A very serious suggestion for your safety your or anyone for safety need to hook up an air chuck preferably one tied into an air pressure regulator once hooked up not leaking set the regulator to desired pressure and stay away so if it blows up your not near the tire. Worked with tires from a pick up,van, and semi stuff for 35y one of many jobs I did for my employers 3 of them one 30y. Grew up on a farm etc. Now disabled since 1-15-21.
