Without a doubt, this has to be my favourite Christmas event, a perfect mix of silly fun and emotional pain. I might of been a bit slow on this realization but i like how the whole event is a reference to the standard RPG storyline, it goes from a 'small incident' to this grand plan. And on top of the event itself, they did an amazing job on expanding on Guillotine's character, it was always there underneath but i had no idea how deep it went. Us Guillotine fans finally eating (and crying) good. I love the fact that they portray her as someone who tries to keep moving forward even if the way forward is blocked, like there's alway a way. I think it's an interesting take on how people deal with problems they struggle to overcome. Add in the comparison of Maiden who chooses different way to move on. The revealing of the story twists was near-perfect, Guillotine coming in with the "i have a plan". Hmm, i wonder if this is me overcooking but thinking on the fact that Guillotine calls Ingrid by her name while Maiden calls her boss, that probably should of raised a flag regarding who's the older one. It went over my head but i assumed they joined at the same time. (i didn't think a solo squad would be a thing.) And then there's the whole Chloe thing... holy hell, i was not ready for what they cooked. The moment i made the mistake of going "hmm, i wonder what this whole Chloe thing is about, i sure would like to know more"... somehow i failed to notice the huge red flag that i was raising there. The HM ending had me on edge the entire time, they could of either way with Chloe throughout that scene. Same voice, no model, that damn CG pose again where it you can't tell where she is exactly. I'm still dreading the potential rug pull but i have to hope she is awake and alive... Please let her cameo in the next Christmas event, forget about Guillotine, i'm the one who needs the closure now! I need the chuuni and 'chuuni' together in a scene in their full, probably cringe, glory... and i'll love every second of it. (sidenote, i really like Chloe's english VA, something about just hits me hard. Obviously i like her JP one too but that's kind of a given.) ok, i just to add that i found it funny that Pam said Maiden found a way forward when she still had the same goal of having her memory wiped at that point (honestly, a lot of the cooking was funny with a hint of wild). I don't think i have much to say on Maiden's part surprisingly, i guess opening up to Guillotine is a pretty huge deal and i'm hoping the ending is hinting to the return of the gamer gang. I'm surprised noone told her that Egg and Trony were fine in that ending scene (I assume the commander was going to at the end of story 1) but that made me wonder if Exia was aware of that,i would assume so. heh, i though i was going to end my wall-o-comment there but then i got to the part about Neverland tangent. it's funny because i think Neverland is 2nd out of the Christmas events with MS being last. MS had a lot of shock factor to it and the impending doomcloud but then the ending kind of took that away, remove the ending and it would probably be 2nd for me. (At this point it's pretty much a given that i come in with almost all of them there hot takes. Minus Crow... well, except the whole 'pushing the damn button', that might be one apparently.) I guess i'll add on a bit for the seasonal alts/outfits, I'm fine with swimsuits either way... but god, no more bunnies or maids, and i say that as someone who likes bunnies and maids.
