In my experience is that their "trust" is they need you to be compliant.
If you are, they will lead you right down the garden path.
If you are not, they will punish, destroy and be completely objectionable.
Comparing you with other woman to evoke jealousy.
    This is what I experienced
My response to this was cool calm and collected.
After the discard I came across articles on narcissism and psycopathy and channels like this, and it all made sense.
I am so glad I did.

Imagine having to be around them while driving to kids' events and then leaving in the middle because I can't stand to be around that negative energy.

That sounds really tough! Navigating situations like that can be incredibly draining, especially when you're trying to focus on the kids. Prioritizing your peace of mind is important, and it’s okay to step away when you need to. Thank you for sharing your experience!

Not all narcs are the same. Mine actually DID aver to me that her rebound guy is nowhere near my offerings. She says he's not intelligent. Not compassionate and not good in bed. Very flattering but insulting as well since she left our relationship for what sounds like a disappointment.

Thank you for your feedback. While there are varying degrees of narcissism, it's not uncommon for them to downplay or discredit new partners to maintain a sense of superiority.

When that moment came... the point of no return... the moment I realized there was no way forward... I found that I no longer cared about her. I wasn't just being mean, I could no longer treat her nice. I truly had no feelings for her. This was a switch because for once I understood how I could be so uncaring toward someone who once meant so much more to me. At the same time she don't know what she got until it's gone. I know she only wants what she can't have.

it is interesting, narcissists live in PRESENT MOMENT, it means they ignoring PAST AND FUTURE. it is hard to do for all normal people

Appreciate your comment! It's fascinating to think about how narcissists seem to live in the present moment, perhaps due to a lack of self-reflection or emotional regulation. This can make it challenging for them to learn from the past or plan for the future.
