Showing gratitude everyday makes me feel alive. Sometimes we get so damn caught up in material things and to just thank the basic things you do have makes life feel so much more magical and possible. Life can be a bitch but we can always find something to be grateful for 🤘🏻
I’ve been there (couch surfing for months on end, having no space of your own) and totally understand the importance of “having room” both physically and mentally. A cluttered environment can really clutter your mind and when you don’t truly feel settled in, you’ll be restless in both mind and body. Living with Jake and Johnnie will help ground you, because they will give you space when you need it and a foundation when you feel untethered. You’ve reminded me that I am not practicing gratitude enough, so thank you for that. Imma get right on that.

Gratitude isn't cringey or corney. While I was homeless in Idaho in 2022, gratitude was the ONLY thing that kept me going some days. I had mobility, I had access to water even if it wasn't running from a faucet, my partner and I were relatively healthy all things considered. Truly, gratitude is powerful because it can carry us through a LOT if we allow it to.

No one stops and "smell the flowers" anymore....enjoy yourself.
