    Dear History Boy
I am a veteran of the Blackhorse, the 11th Armoured Cavalry Regiment, Fulda Gap, OP Alpha, 1984-1989. I saw the end of the Cold War up close. You do good work to honour all of us who served in the cavalry. Think about doing something to highlight the Blackhorse. Our song is called Allons and we have a proud history.

That depiction of the Battle of Little Big Horn from "Little Big Man" rings more and more true the more you dig into the history of what led up to it.
Although, as an aside, I must admit to sayingon more than one occasion to saying, "JA, DA BILLS OFF DA STORE".
And I often praise my wife for being "enthusiastic" when we have sexy time. She just giggles and hugs me. I stop short of accusing her of copulating with horses and LYING about it though.

Yes, you want to sing “Dixie”. Here are the lyrics.
Away down South in the land of traitors
      Rattlesnakes and alligators
      Right away (right away)
      Come away (come away)
      Right away (right away)
      Come away
Where cotton's king and men are chattles
Union boys will win the battles
      Right away (right away)
      Come away (come away)
      Right away (right away)
      Come away
We'll all go down to Dixie, away, away
Each Dixie boy must understand that he must mind his Uncle Sam
      Away (away)
      Away (away)
We'll all go down to Dixie
      Away (away)
      Away (away)
We'll all go down to Dixie
I wish I was in Baltimore
      I'd make secession traitors roar
      Right away (right away)
      Come away (come away)
      Right away (right away)
      Come away
We'll put the traitors all to route
I'll bet my boots we'll whip 'em out
      Right away (right away)
      Come away (come away)
      Right away (right away)
      Come away (come away)
We'll all go down to Dixie, away, away
Each Dixie boy must understand that he must mind his Uncle Sam
      Away (away)
      Away (away)
We'll all go down to Dixie!
      Away (away)
      Away (away)
We'll all go down to Dixie
Oh, may our Stars and Stripes still wave
Forever o'er the fee and brave!
      Right away (right away)
      Come away (come away)
      Right away (right away)
      Come away
And let our motto ever be
      Forever Union and for liberty
      Right away (right away)
      Come away (come away)
      Ride away (ride away)
      Come away
We'll all go down to Dixie, away, away
Each Dixie boy must understand that he must mind his Uncle Sam
      Away (away)
      Away (away)
We'll all go down to Dixie
      Away (away)
      Away (away)
We'll all go down to Dixie

"Texit" is currently tabled in committee in the Texas legislature. It is under consideration. If the election in a couple weeks is as crooked as 2020 was, the Republic of Texas may rejoin the community of nations.

Understatement of the century Jeremy, died wouldn't be the word , more like um , slaughtered or eviscerated or disemboweled or raped or scalped or maybe had their body parts worn on the blue trash's uniforms as they paraded thru town , I dunno. I'm not sure died is a strong enough word to describe the horrible acts of brutality those "heroes" committed .

@@jjkcharlie I'm sorry, I didn't mean to come across like I'm jumping all over you , its a terrible thing those men did and I still don't understand how some folks ( not you ) just applaud the boys in blue like they were saints. I took my family to the Washita Battle Memorial yesterday to pay our respects , the thought of what those people went through was fresh on my mind.

Its both. Irish American troops from New York militia of the famed "Fighting 69th" in the Civil war marched to Gary Owen in battle. But it became more famous for its use under the 7th Cavalry with George Armstrong custers men during the Indian wars.
