    I feel from the bottom of my heart devastated by the discomfort I know she felt. I've had lice twice, once as a child and once as an adult, and the itch was LIKE NOTHING ELSE and constant... I only had a mild case both times, so this felt awful every minute of every day, it had to have... no human being deserves to suffer that way. Soooo grateful there are options and help and hope now, even just five to ten years ago people were still just throwing in the towel and cutting off hair. Grateful to know she got amazing treatment and incredible care from people who truly just want to help ❤😢

    • @Corrie-_-

      There's been options for years. The people shaving heads just don't want to do the treatments imo. I got it a few times as a kid, and a couple from my kid. We have super thick hair, and though it's a pain, I got rid of it each and every time

      Not necessarily. Out of four children only my 3rd ever had lice. She had really bad. After battling them for most of her life, she shaved her head (because of Chemo) and for the last 2 years of her life she was clean.

      @@nanettecruz2228this bad? Like I get struggling to get rid of the fuckers, but that looks like they've not even been bothering to run the lice comb through her. I'd get that comb morning and night when I had lice as a kid

    • @ashleygray3744
      @ashleygray3744 9 місяців тому +1

      @@Albinojackrusselsometimes u may think u got them all & of u don’t the process starts all over again. There aren’t many options either. Most are OTC so it can very easily spread & I mean VERY easy. Also, surprisingly, lice is attracted to clean hair & they multiply so quickly. Now there’s super lice which I believe hasn’t been treatable with the OTC products.

    • @imshortnlow4u
      @imshortnlow4u 9 місяців тому

      @@ashleygray3744as someone who has dealt with lice for years, it will NEVER get this bad with proper maintenance. My ex on the other hand, who was in major denial (and still is currently with my son 🙄), had the fuckers practically falling out like dandruff. This is just pure neglect and completely sad to see a parent let it get this bad.

    Do you call social services when a child comes in completely lice ridden and quite clearly neglected? I don’t know whether this is a child I’m just curious as a child protection officer in the UK.

    • @robinnelson18
      @robinnelson18 9 місяців тому +7

      You can't tell if it's neglect because they have lice. Some ppl try self help because they can't afford a treatment..as you can see this was their last result.. just because you see she has lice doesn't mean she didn't wash her hair. Lice will hold on to different parts of your hair, all over your body..one woman in the comments said she shaved her hair and it was still there.

    • @KillerRack
      @KillerRack 9 місяців тому +23

      @@robinnelson18I’m sorry but this amount of lice is probably neglected for a quiet sometime. Where were the teachers or other care givers? You can prevent this amount of lice by combing daily for more then a week. I know even combes are expensive, but someone should have prevented this.

      I knew a girl in foster care in highschool who had really beautiful long thick hair but also had lice because of neglect from her foster mom she even threatened the girl saying she’ll chop her hair off instead of getting it cleaned properly she was mad at the poor girl for having lice like it’s her fault and came down on her for hygiene mind you the poor girl wasn’t taught how cause she’s a foster kid who is gonna teach her ?long story she the lady was ruthless to the kid for having to spend money the government pays her to take care of the kid in question. She also threatened to get her kicked out by saying she’ll be hospitalized if she cried about her hair being chopped or snitched essentially. Loosing placement as a foster kid in that matter creates a bad look on the kid and two creates instability and insecurity and mental turmoil. Loosing placement means losing home and your school and any friends you made

      Disagree. There is no excuse for allowing any child to suffer. You check, you find them at the nit stage, you comb them out and treat and you wash everything where eggs are laid. Yes, lice only live for a short time but lay hundreds of eggs. It’s really very simple. Parents owe a duty of care to their kids to be meticulous in clearing this problem at the earliest stage.

She finally reached out and explained that she got foot fungus and she was afraid I didn't want to be her friend anymore. Oh my god. Ok, every time I see things like this it makes my skin crawl- not because of the actual itching but because of my late hamster
    I remember picking him up (he looked really sick) concerned and a bunch of mites sprouted from his fur. I was horrified that I had accidentally let this happen and I tried everything to help him but he ended up passing away two days after… I feel so bad for letting it get that bad and I really wish I could’ve spotted it sooner. I never abused him, he had a nice big cage and I cleaned it once every now and then so I didn’t expect such a gruesome death. I couldn’t imagine how he felt.. poor fella.

So, the entire class got them again. The third time was as an adult and my son had gotten them. That one took what seemed like forever to get rid of, but we were successful. I have a question about the lice kits you sell on your website. Do they have a shelf life? I am wanting to order it in the chance one of my children or myself get lice I’d like to have a quality product that is safe/ non-toxic and actually works on hand then having to order and wait X amount of days for it to arrive. I just of course don’t want to be wasteful and order and when the time comes we did need it wouldn’t be good anymore. Also is there a way to select the color hair ties and scrunchies when ordering?
    Thank you for your time and helping all of these beautiful girls feel good again. I had lice as a child from a sleepover and my stepdad cut all my hair off(he wasn’t a nice man regardless of cutting my hair) and my nana had to rush me to my hair stylist to treat me and fix the hair cut. I always had beautiful long brown hair that was very thick and it was devastating having lice and then him chopping it off. Seeing you help these girls is so beautiful and wish you were around when I was little.

    Ignorant question but is this what it looks like if you do nothing?
    If she washed her hair normally before her appointment, would the lice instantly cling on for dear life as soon as they sense the water or would there actually be significantly less?
    I know you can’t just wash them away but with the amount there, it looks like your can brush some off 😅 but I have no experience in this
    I need educating!

    My bff daughter had lice so bad when she was little. I combed treated (i was watching her at the time) not only her but everyone in the house and the house it took us month to get rid of the.. she would go to her dads and comeback full of lice again. I got to mad and refused to watch or have her go back to her dads until her treated his house ( he said he did but couldnt have). Super lice are no joke
