This is a great instructional video, thank you, and your bags are lovely. I will be looking at all of your machine embroidery videos as they are so helpful.
Thank you for taking the time to make this tutorial video. I am a very visual person so it really helps to read the instructions and watch the tutorial. It was also helpful to see the different bags you made and how you changed up the fabric on each of them. You make it look so easy. Deciding which fabric to use is one of the hardest things for me to do especially when I'm making something for a friend. Thanks again, Nikki.
Thank you so much for your videos! Your work is what made me finally decide to get an embroidery machine & dive into not only embroidery but into in the hoop projects! Also you led me right to disorderly threads just in time for their Black Friday sale last year and I scooped up almost 3/4 of their collection of mini bags. Can not thank you enough!!!! -jes
I am brand new to Embroidery. I bought my Flourish just a few days before Christmas. I love your videos. You explain things very well . Thank you. I am not doing so well with the in the hoop projects. I see practice in my future! I look forward to seeing more of what you make.
I just discovered these designs on Etsy.. I bought the camper, nurse designs and one of the cocktail glasses... this video helped so much , Now i can follow the printed instructions better. I just love In-The-Hoop designs and have done alot of them.
That is such a cute little bag. I'm going to buy that design as well as a few other ones of hers because of your video's. You are an inspiration, thanks for the video's. Janet
Very clear and precise instructions. Also, the lighting was sufficient. I bought my first pattern yesterday, the bikini bag from DT. You work so well on her designs, I hope you will keep them coming. If the bikini bag turns out well for me, it will be gifted to my grand daughter who recently moved to coastal South Carolina. Thanks to you and Disorderly Threads for making my sewing hobby a lot more interesting.
Thank you for taking the time to post this! I've been afraid of my machine for a while, finally decided to try it out with basic embroidery - didn't even know what "in the hoop" was - this is awesome and I'm so excited to try more stuff. You explained everything very clearly. Looking forward to seeing your other videos.
Thank you Nikki or making this wonderful video. I had no idea how to even start something like this. You have given me the confidence to try now. Can't wait to make my first bag!
Susie, Nikki did not design the ith corsets. The design is Dissorderly Threads' but Nikki has made a wonderful video tutorial and I think she has the designer's permission to do more.
Inma Perez Osuna Whoops sorry, I though Nikki was Dissorderly Threads. Love all of the designs, but the Corset is my favourite. Thanks for letting me know Inma.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this project and your instructions were PERFECT. Not a 1st time sewer but am a first timer on my new Brother Designio Embroidery Machine and this was my first time every project and turned out perfect. Thank you so much for your step by step instructions. Can't wait now to do more of these lol I have almost all of the little wallet patterns and can't wait to do more projects. I hope to try some new designs to add to my purses and wallets I make. You can bet I will be watching more of your videos. Keep up the GREAT WORK. :)
So adorable! Gonna have to make one for my son & daughter-in-law to use with their camper! Thank you so much for the tutorial. Really enjoyed watching it!
I bought this pattern over a year ago and was too fearful to try it. Your video really simplified it for me in a visual way. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this :) I also have the 770 and love it. I've yet to try a zipper but think I can manage it if I follow along with your video. Thanks again!
You're very welcome! I'm glad the video helped you. Go ahead and try a zipper! You'll be surprised by how easy they are! Just be sure to use a nylon one, not metal!
You explain very well. Your directions and suggestions are crystal! Thanks. I have a new PE770, also, and have subscribed to your channel in the hopes of learning more about my machine.
I have ITH projects, upon projects and was terrified to start, had no clue where to start...your detailed explanation is great. I can't wait to start my new project now!
Gracia B I actually haven't done anything like this since high school, which was about 20 years ago! I am actually a bit self-conscious about my appearance, but I made a decision to overcome it because I really wanted to do these videos!
You have no reason to be self-conscious about your appearance. You came across as being confident and knowledgeable on the topic you were dealing with. I'd like to see you doing a simpler one like the grad bag, for instance, but then adding D rings to make it into a crossbody bag. I love DT's designs, they are so versatile and now that's she's brought out that one with the flamingo on it, I simply have to have it! She's so creative!
Nikki Velazquez, you looked great and very sure of yourself. On another note, my kids have tattoos and want to know why I won't get one. Your tattoo design is the first that I would consider. lol
Thanks so much for this video! I bought the sneaker design at DT. I was confused about several steps and found this video to better explain it. I ruined two attempts before I successfully completed the bag. Thanks again!!
Nikki I'm so glad to have found you. Your tutorial was excellent please show us more. I have the pe-770 as well and I love it. I'm off to disorderly threads to check them out and then payday can't come quick enough, lol. I really enjoyed you, Thank You.
Thank you so much. Can you do some more ITH designs. I just purchased the design to make several to give as gifts to all my camping ladies. You did a very nice job on the video by the way. Thumbs UP!
Heidi Espinola thank you for your nice comment. I have to get a designer's permission to do a tutorial of their design, but I will ask now that I have some more time. I also don't post many videos because my filming skills are not great and I get anxious.
Great tutorial! I learn so much easier when I can actually see something being done! I would love to see you make a video for the Disorderly Threads Castle Bag. I just bought the design and want to make it!!! Thanks again for taking the time to make your video!
Nikki Velazquez Or if you have the dollhouse bag, I have that design also and have wanted to make it!!! I'm not picky, I'll watch any of the videos you make!
I bought this pattern forever ago, and have watched your video more than once, just have not had the chance to make the bag yet :( it is on my to do list for sure!
Very good video. I do have one comment, when you refer to placing the material on the bottom of hoop. It's easier for some to understand if you say, place the right side of material to the stabilizer. I knew, but it could be confusing for some. Thank you
Thank you for making this video. It will sure be a big help when I start this tomorrow. I was just wondering if I could use black fleece for the tires instead of felt. Thanks.
this is brilliant love the instructions easy to follow and very helpful I am new to embroidery and you have helped to put me at ease with this design... now to head to the machine and start :)
This was awesome to watch! I’ve always wanted to learn to create something cool but don’t always feel very creative but I’ve been looking into making things. I loved this video and saw that you have an Etsy page, do you still make these or have them for sale?
Darling bag. Perfect for a friend who adores campers, she had one. I need to see what you are doing as you speak. Only suggestion is to position your hands more in front of camera. I am going to watch and use this tutorial as I sew one for Melinda my child hood friend. We are 63 yrs young.
Thank you so much for the great tutorial. Have you made any more tutorials? I'm hoping to find one on Disorderly Threads's Sewing Machine in the hoop 5x7" I just can't follow the PDF instructions. Thanks, Barb
HI Barb! Yes, I have made several other tutorials. They are all on this channel. I have not made a video for the sewing machine bag, but I have made it. It is very similar to the other bags, and it's horizontal like this camper bag. It's actually simpler than the camper, so I encourage you to give it a try!
I'm new at this and really learned a lot from your video on the camper bag. Could you PLEASE make one on the high top sneaker bag? Another lady made one and it was nice, but she used a baby lock and everything she did did not make much sense since I have a Viking Topaz 40 and even my hoop looks different. Hope you can do one on the high top ... THANK YOU.
I use a multineedle embroidery machine now, though the construction of the bag doesn't change no matter what machine you use. I'm glad the video helped you!
like your video, good instructions. Could you do one on the embroidery garden bags that are like a cell phone bag and purse. I have made one but their instructions confuse me greatly.

Hi Nikki. Awesome tutorial but i am puzzled about the final stitching around the outside before removing it from the hoop. You mentioned at the start about being careful not to sew on top of zipper in case you break the needle. How do you to get it to not sew over the ends of zipper please or are the teeth inside the stitching line. I couldnt quite make it out on the video. Thanks.
Great video. I would love to see some more. Do you have any bag designs from Pickle Pie Designs? I'm having some problems putting that together. I also have the PE-770.

I am having trouble following the video, not as young as I used to be so I want to print the instructions out, but cant find what file it is. Please help, love doing this type of Embroidery.
+Theresa Lindal I have found that I can look at what is happening next then rewind that bit/ pause and make it then go to the next bit. I am 65 and know EXACTLY what you mean. This is a better way of doing them BUT have your PDF instructions as well near you to refer to as needed. I have this site marked in the bookmark site under UA-cam videos...easy to find for future reference if you need it....klemzig. Sth Aust
Awesome video. You said you didn't like the color of the door because the knob wasn't gonna show very well. Once you have your blue thread in, go back to that knob and re-stitch over it. Placement of the needle will tell you if your in the right spot, then go back to where you left off. Designsbyjuju.com has a matching set of camper embroidery patterns that would be awesome in towels, placemats or to add to mug rugs. Beautiful job and we'll edited, thanks for sharing. I subscribed!
Enjoyed but perhaps less shots of the emboidery machine while you're off camera perhaps you could have pushed your machine away so we could see all your demo thanks
it's a lovely video but right off the start the placement lines for the zipper went longs ways on the video, but the file went sideways in my hoop... totally confused me.. as a beginner.. had to stop watching it and follow written instructions
I watched this 5 years ago when I first made these adorable camper bags. I was so glad I saved it!! Thank you!
7/30/2020 thank you Nikki. During this pandemic your tutorials are a life saver. Thank you again.

You're very welcome. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
Your video is great. Thank you. I've got to get this design! More ITH, please. Now I want to make bags for everybody!

like your video, good instructions. Could you do one on the embroidery garden bags that are like a cell phone bag and purse. I have made one but their instructions confuse me greatly.
Unfortunately I can't. She doesn't allow video tutorials, I don't want to get sued.
Very clearly explained. I have the bikini in the hoop bag by DT and have not attempted making it yet but will soon. I was wondering why you don't use lite heat and bond in the appliqué portion of the design. Is it nit recommended in the directions or is it just personal choice?
I don't find it necessary. Plus, it would be very difficult to iron the fabric while in the hoop.
Hi, your video's are so well explained. But, I would like to ask. Is there a way to use a repositionable hoop on the se400 for the camper bag?
no, that is not possible.
Thanks.
You use a nylon zipper which is ok to sew over.
Do you have to use felt? Can you use fabric or is felt necesary? Ty!🥰
Hi Nikki, I love all of your video's. Can I ask you what kind of cutaway stabilzier that you use. Thank You.
Ginny Defilippo World Weidner brand via Amazon.
Do you tear away the stablilizer just on the outside of the design or the middle also. Tear it all away? Or leave some?
Great video. I would love to see some more. Do you have any bag designs from Pickle Pie Designs? I'm having some problems putting that together. I also have the PE-770.
Not yet, but I'm sure I'll be buying some!
Great video! Ty! Do you have pe 770?
Thank you.
8/14/19. I love this pattern.
Me too!
Love ❤️
Rachel Prichard thanks!
Hi! Am new to embroidering. Have a sewing machine that (my understanding only) only does art designs. Will these embroideries do that? Am still learning how to unzip files so am really behind on th others for this. Thank You!
I think art is an embroidery file type. if so, you can use that for this bag.
While putting tape on zipper and fabric I noticed you put it where it will be stitched. Do you use special tape?
I use painters tape.
Cute! Is there a pattern for a purse sized bag too?
Yes, there is a 6" x .5" version. I made the minibus in that size and it fits my phone and other small items I take on quick errands.
I am having trouble following the video, not as young as I used to be so I want to print the instructions out, but cant find what file it is. Please help, love doing this type of Embroidery.
the file comes with a PDF with instructions.

Do you know if I can do placement stitches with the PE500?
No, this design only works on a machine with a 5x7 hoop or larger. It won't even load on a machine with a 4x4 hoop.
Nikki Velazquez Thank you.
Trying to figure out when putting printed lining does it go printed side down or up? Thank You
It's been awhile, but I'm almost positive it's down.
@@NikkiVelazquez Thank You I just took a chance to comment. it just didn't say in the video at the end.
Yep, last step for lining is face down
do you have a tutorial for the high top shoe zippered bag?
No, I do not.
Nikki Velazquez thank you so much I like your video as I am a visual person
This is Sheila, my husband is on the same email, I'm the sewer.
How do I get the design, love the video
Thank you! A link to the design can be found under the video.
Nice video but where did you get your pattern? I want one lol
Patty Bingaman it's in the description under the video
thank you. I just did not open it far enough
Where do I buy the design from plz x

Hi what kind is your machine?
brother pe770
Where do we get the pattern?
please can i purchase the embroidery file
The link is in the description under the video.
no dont see it
@@lesleycooper6143 it's there
Where do I get the design from
It's in the video description under the video.
I would prefer a satin stitched tire. The way the felt is an open edge is not what I would do.
b jacobson it's not needed when you use felt. Having said that, that is how the designer, not I, created it.
I can fix it for my own use.
Am i able to get the pattern ?
Link is in description below video.
Enjoyed but perhaps less shots of the emboidery machine while you're off camera perhaps you could have pushed your machine away so we could see all your demo thanks
agreed. this was my first video, and I'm still figuring things out.
Where is the pattern from?
Marnie Houston Disorderly Threads. The link is in the description above.
this video doesn't match with the directions, totally confused me... they updated the written instructions.. :(
G Foley how does it not match??
have you watched the video and compare it to written instructions? if you have, you'll see what I mean.
Yes, I'm the one who made the video. I used the instructions before making this video.
it's a lovely video but right off the start the placement lines for the zipper went longs ways on the video, but the file went sideways in my hoop... totally confused me.. as a beginner.. had to stop watching it and follow written instructions
