    Thank you! I’ve been looking for a safe way to give my dogs chews to keep them from choking. This is great!

      Oh no haha our dogs never care for the toy once the bully stick is gone! Have you tried the WestPaw toy I mention at 2:01?

      yeah that one is one of our favourites, it lasts longer than the other ones 😂. I’ve been thinking about picking up the toppl that west paw makes too.

    Chewey sells this toy and of course the smaller one is more expensive than the larger one. I hate when companies do that.

    I always want to try hooves or bones but scared that it will break off and puncture my dog’s stomach. Even though I watch them like a hawk, u never know :( do u have any recommendations for your fav brand for hooves or bones?

    • @emwng

      We used to give hooves sparingly but stopped due to the risk of tooth fractures. If you want to give something just as durable, a Himalayan dog chew is usually a good option. Try to avoid cooked bones as they can splinter and cause issues, but raw bones are fine to give!

      @@emwng @emwng thank u! I'm aleays hesitant to give anything too hard but know it's good for their teeth to chew on something hard. Just a paranoid dog mom i guess haha 😆 I tried the Himalayan dog chew and thought it was too hard but maybe it'll give it a try again! What about elk antlers? Do those splinter easily in your opinion? Thanks for the reply 😃

      Stubby Antlers are great but also on the very hard end of the spectrum and run a similar risk of fractures as hooves and Himalayan chews. Honestly at this point we like going with “softer” natural chews like bully sticks, ears, trachea to reduce the risk of tooth injuries but any chew carries that possibility. It just depends on how hard your dog chews. That’s why it’s always important to monitor chew time! Hope this was helpful :)

    so basically you guys make the dog struggle and kind of having the chew but not having it and save some money instead of letting him enjoying his bully stick !!!!I actually put these bully sticks in a bowl of water for an hour before I give it t my dogs bcz it makes it easier for them to chew and they enjoy it more !!!!just make some thing that makes their life better and more enjoyable ,,,they love us unconditionally ,,,Do we ?!

    Hard pass. Easy way for a dog to get a blockage. Just invest in a safety chew bully stick holder

    What size bully stick do you use? Is it thick or regular?

    Do either of your pups get territorial when it comes to bully sticks or animal product chews? I have a Pembroke and he has this problem and I was wondering if you have any tips for that.

    • @emwng
      @emwng  3 роки тому +3

      Our dogs do not have any problems with this! You can do some resource aggression training. Your pup needs to know it's okay for you and other dogs to take their food / chews away. If it continues to be a problem, you can work on preventative measures and not give your dogs bones in the same room or area.

    Hi. Loved your video. We have an American Eskie that looks almost identical to yours!
    I was wondering...what type of floors do you have? Wood, LVP, or wood look tile? I am about to replace my kitchen floor, but I was wondering about scratches. Any advice you could offer would be most appreciated!
