We helped a new school open in Lviv, then spent 6 weeks in Krakow; we're in Tallinn for a month before heading back to Oregon. My wife and I hope to visit France after the Olympics. We plan to sell our Portland condo and then move to France. We want to enjoy the European lifestyle and perhaps travel throughout neighboring countries as volunteer teachers. Hey that's awesome! You wouldn't need a visa to move to France as a Greek citizen, but you'd need to apply for a european permit which basically declares your living situation in France which means you'd be paying French taxes...it's easy to obtain as a european citizen and just means you'd pay taxes there instead of in Greece! I read online that you can lose citizenship from extended non use. I was wondering how long this period of extended non use had to be. I'd like to relocate to France, but have some things I have to look into first.
That's a very interesting question! I honestly haven't heard about a citizenship being "revoked" due to non use. Do you still obtain a French identification or passport ?
