I have a Gibson Southern Jumbo Original. And the coated Elixer, phospher bronze nor 80/20 sounded good. Coated sounds horrible on mine. Tried lots of name brand strings. PB and 80/20.. The absolute best sounding strings on my guitar is DAddario Nickle Bronze. Totally woke it up and sounds Great..
