Unfortunately MMA fans suffer from amnesia. During his run there was never a fighter seen like this. Still, to this day no fighter has done what he did and more importantly, the way he did. It may never be replicated. There are some great fighters, but this man did this seamlessly in poetic fashion 16 times straight. Pure beauty. Had he retired after the Bonner fight, he would to this day be considered the GOAT. Your favorite fighters favorite fighter.
I agree about Silva, but I don't know what you mean about fans suffering from amnesia
They don't have amnesia, most of them only started watching when Conor McGregor became popular, so they missed all of this.
@@rejuvenator8966 people deny his greatness just because of his end of career, people quickly forget how dominant he was.
@@Nobody-su9kmI don't know who those people are they're probably kids lol I'm 32 and growing up outside of GSP it was Undisputed that Silva was the best!
Honestly I've always felt like Anderson Silva's ability to dodge punches was the most impressive excuse that he had this video does him no justice because it doesn't have any slow mo to show you how close these guys actually get to hitting him and how quick and fast his reflexes are the man Spider-Man for real
GREATEST of ALL TIME. Dude fought in the matrix, stuff u see only in movies.
The Spider is not only a bada$$, He is LOVED by almost every MMA fan! What a great guy!
“Fighting is my life, fighting is my heart” spoken like a true general
0:11 fart is my heart*
@@antonzaitsev8411🤣🤣🤣
@@antonzaitsev8411 i can only hear that
yeah he absolutely said fart.@@antonzaitsev8411
kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk he truly said fart is my heart
Man, why wasnt he at the HOF? There are few fighters who will ever go in the HOF more important than him.
He should have been inducted a long time ago, but yeah, it's a real shame he wasn't actually there for the ceremony. He's one of the greatest, and most important, fighters to ever enter a ring or a cage.
@@TheElbowMerchant yeah it's like Peyton Manning or Jerry Rice not being there to give their HOF speech. Huge disappointment
He hates the UFC. Terrible relationship at this point.
They never paid him and he saved many ufc events
Because these guys don’t get paid according to the sacrifices they make, rather pay Connor for being a walking breathing piece of shit it’s a joke
Anderson Silva is my all time favourite fighter
7:02 "at no. 3 Franklin gets his ass beat, again" 😂😂
The disrespect LOL I mean he did get his ass beat but damn😅
I was thinking the same thing. Lol wtf did Franklin do to them. And “laiben”
Was looking for this comment 😂
Haha😂😂😂
It was the soft voice
I would have put his fight with Forest Griffin, that was the most disrespectful a*s whooping in UFC history.
😂😂
IKR?!!!
Lmao that’s the only ppv my family had gotten. It was a lil disappointing
No, any Jon Jones fight ever is better. Bones is a monster of a man, he takes enjoyment from hurting others.
Me too! That was insane.
I think the Forrest Griffin KO deserved a mention the way he was walking back and still knocking Griffin senseless.
Mee too, I was expecting this moment in this video.
Yeah facts. Can’t forget when Silva showed Griffin what happens when you enter the matrix.
@@tothetop2498 the spider in his prime was out of this world.
Ya it’s the coolest most impressive ko I’ve ever seen in combat sports
I'm yet to see someone makes me want to become a fighter the way The Spider did. It was magical, mesmerizing. Who lived through those times will always remember his KOs as special nights.
The look of fear and desperation in Rich Franklin's eyes when he got caught in Silva's clinch in their second fight, while simultaneously remembering how their first fight ended, that was it for me. I found the nearest Muay Thai gym, and the rest is history. Now Muay Thai is one of the most important and popular styles in all of combat sports. For me, Anderson Silva's fighting style was where my life-long love of MMA began, and I'm sure that's true for many others. If it wasn't for the Spider, I may have still discovered an affinity for watching MT and BJJ, but I doubt I would have wanted to train in those disciplines, so he will always have my gratitude for the inspiration he provided.
That's awesome good for you!
" The look of fear and desperation in Rich Franklin's eyes when he got caught in Silva's clinch " was just about to write exactly the same thing lol 👍
Me too and i was a massive Franklin fan as well@@chrisy1020
THE SPIDER is an all time great, once in a lifetime athlete
A good video, clearly edited by Forrest Griffin.
LMAO 😂
As a skinny kid growing up he was my fight idol. I started taking Muay Thai in high school. My favorite fighter forever.
How about the one with Forrest Griffin?
That knockout was poetry in motion!
My favorite Anderson Silva moment
Well, to be honest Forrest Griffin just gave up.
Agree
He beat Forrest so bad i actually felt sorry for Forrest after. Agreed should have shown that.
Forrest Griffin just wasn't a great fighter, he was more of a brawler. He could take a punch, and he could hit hard... but he just didn't have great skill. I liked him, he was one of my favorite fighters, but he wasn't very good
the one thing anyone beats is age
silva in his prime is impossible
The one thing no one* beats, haha. Youre saying the opposite what you intend to
The man Silva left a mark on that game.
Anderson Silva put UFC on the map. much like Ronaldinho put Soccer on the map. There will never be a replicate of either people. Master of entertainment, loved by everyone who watched. Pure joy, excitement.
right, no one watched soccer before Ronaldinho lol
More like pele and Madonna than Ronaldinho
map = usa LOL
@@ursotedio he’s Brazilian, you don’t think all of South America wasn’t rooting for him you’re not too smart
@@agenciashanon I disagree, they were great in their times respectfully. But dinho was more of an entertainer, more outspoken, went to Barcelona and broke the world
Hot take, but peak Silva, pre-injury Silva, is the greatest fighter ever
Not as much as a hot take as you'd believe mate. If we're going by peak periods, Silva would definitely be up there in the discussion.
To support this argument Silva was the only fighter I could use to beat John Jones on UFC 2/3
The Spider is my all around favorite UFC fighter, still.
The GOAT.
GOAT!!!
Anderson had 100% accuracy in that fight with Leben I went to the bathroom so excited to see Leben win by K.O and it was over before I could see it in real time, I never forgot that day
he really wanted to stop tho
I remember his prime like yesterday, he was domination incarnate. Top 3 of all time without a doubt.
My GOAT
Trust me guys.....I have binge watched your videos last days...
Love your content and way of explanation....keep it up❤❤❤❤
Thank you 🙌
His knockout on Carlos Newton was worth mentioning too. He got dominated for the most part of the fight but ended the fight like Masvidal vs Ben Askren.
Why no one mention that after the fight Chael was suspended for 18 months for the use of steroids?
Extremely well put together video... excellent
My absolute favorite fighter of all times. Not only is he a brilliant fighter, he is a good man. There will never be another Anderson Silva.
He was amazing miss him ❤❤❤
ONE IMPORTANT POINT:
HE STARTED TO FIGHT BECAUSE THE FIRST MARTIAL ART HE EXPERIENCED WAS _CAPOEIRA_, A MARTIAL ART MADE BY BLACK BRAZILIAN PEOPLE IN THE ERA OF SLAVERY
T.H.E. G.O.A.T!
Dude, the thumbnail of this video is freaking awesome 😍😍😍
Thanks sir!
CAN ARGUE THE MOST EXCITING CHAMP TO DO IT BUT DEF THE MW GOAT...
Amazing.
I like the editing style
How do you not have the James Irving or forest griffin fight on here
Brilliant channel! ❤😂🎉😢😢😮
He was the Kobe Bryant of ufc. All skill, determination and the will to never give up.
Jones and Silva are the goats imo.
anderson wasnt from são paulo, hes from curitiba
Born in sao paulo
It wasn't just the fact that he was winning, but HOW he was winning. He was making elite fighters in their prime look like children. Taking out current & former champions without even breaking a sweat.
THE BEST OF THE BEST
The greatest to ever do it..
One of my favorite fighters… ever!
the goat!
Precision overcomes , speed and power !!!
Good job
the clinch on Rich Franklin was a bit understated lol that was arguably THE best muay thai clinch display
Spider vs Franklin was like the real life version of Tong Po vs Eric in Kickboxer!!!
The Tal of MMA 🔥
Anderson was 45 2020 absolutely an amazing achievement considering his age and he’s physic and he wasn’t a very big neither overly muscly he’s a born fighter of the highest calibre , when Anderson Silva knock off Victor Belfort with a frontal kick in the face I was shocked ! Absolutely one of the best ever !
the greatest who ever did it
Let’s not forget that that Hendo fight happened after Henderson had lost his light heavy unification bout with Rampage, a fight in which it took Rampage 5 rounds to beat him via decision. Silva, smaller, and facing a man that was hungry to keep his belt in what was another unification bout, finished him in 2 rounds. THAT is beastly.
Let us also remember that Chael was juiced to the gills in that first fight, a tremendous boon to a wrestler. Steroids doesn’t suddenly give you technique; it doesn’t let you find angles and throw strikes with sniper-like accuracy, but it gives you a helluva edge when you’re holding somebody down. So even if Chael had won, he’d have lost and been stripped of the belt.
They should’ve added that Fryklund fight on here. An uppercut elbow? Come on. And the Bonnar fight where he’s standing and slipping all his punches. Just absolute poetry in motion.
Pound for Pound the Best fighter in his Generation!!
GOAT
" I stay here cuz fart is my life.. "
- Anderson silva
😂😂😂
THE GOAT!
Truly the goat
🐐
Silva is the GOAT 🐐
Clinched again another banger ! i always look forward to your uploads :)
Thank you brother 🙏
We all should thank Steven Seagal for the front kick 2 Vitor..thru SS all things are possible
I can't tell if you are serious
@@jayn6943 Steven Seagal went to one of Silva's training sessions and told him he should try to put his knee a little higher while kicking. He tried that and liked, he said he felt like his kick was harder to predict doing this. The rest you already know.
@@jayn6943 it was all true. Silva subtly gave his thanks at the end of the fight to Seagal
Top quality video, should have more views.
Much appreciated!
GOAT!
thank you PEDS
It should be noted that Silva walked into the ring for fight #1 wearing a BJJ Gi. After the fight, he mentioned that he had set out to submit Sonnen and that was why he wore the Gi. As for whether there's any truth to what Silva said, people can decide for themselves, but how quickly he defeated Sonnen the second time might seem to lend credibility to his words.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
He is the hof
Greatest fighter to ever do it
I like the woman’s voice when introducing the countdown.
Gotta add him absolutely DESTROYING Forrest Griffin.
Still the goat in my opinion
Anderson Silva= GOAT
Back in the early 2000s to the early 2000 teens, my friend would always order the fights, and we'd all show up with the beer to party!! Watched so many great fights from that era. I will never forget that night Sylva murdered The Crippler. I knew then, fan favorite and current champion Rich franklin, was in serious trouble.
Please, make a video about Charles Oliveira when he get his belt back!!!
best ufc fighter ever
I'm amazed his fight with Forrest Griffin didn't make the list
Anderson for me is the undisputed MW GOAT. The ONLY way someone will ever beat him in that category for me is if they surpass him in title defenses & length of title reign. The ONLY knock on him is that he should've retired instead of continuing to fight after he was past his prime... well, that and the fact that he got KOed being cocky when the streak ended, but that was just an unfortunate way for his reign to end.
Always enjoyed watching his fights, even the one he got booed for when he "didn't put out enough offense" in the fight against Maia in Abu Dhabi - I understood the crowd's displeasure, but the lack of fight out of Demian Maia was as much to blame for how lackluster that fight was.
Best fighter to ever enter the octagon period.
Remember working in restaurant seeing the promo for the Rich Franklin rematch on TV " didn't watch ufc at that time" ask my boss week later how did that fight go on ppv? He said just like the first one! I said i gotta start watching this cat he's the real deal lol been ufc fan ever since!
I never feared for the safety of an opponent like I did for Silva’s. You just knew that there was a high probability that Silva would bob and weave and then there would be a viscous KO, and you’d have to look at the slow motion replay to figure out wtf happened.
Spider gives Bruce Lee vibes.
The middleweight GOAT
you can't just gloss over the rematch. Sonnen threw a spinning backfist, slipped and fell. Silva threw a legal knee to his chest while downed and that was it.
He’s the only fighter to win a title in two fights. Seriously Scorched leben then Franklin to top it off he didn’t lose fight til like 7 years later. That’s a goat and went up in weight plus didn’t get popped at all when he was reigning.
What about Silva vs Griffin?! That was INSANE!
Sonnen would've been stripped of the belt anyways..guy was juiced 2 the fucking gills
Don't get it twisted, they both were.
“Fart is my heart” 😂
Poor Franklin they didn’t need to put him in the octagon with Silva again 😅
Ronaldinho gaúcho do MMA
It's good night Irene the big KABOSH...
My all Time favorite fighter
His most memorable moments were:
1- Front kick KO against Belfort
2- Late submission against Sonnen
3- Title winning against Franklin
4- Master KO against Griffin
5- Domination over Hendo
Fun fact: Belfort said Silva was two-faced after they stopped training together. Because of this, Silva wore a mask on the day of the weigh-in.
Rich Franklins nose just closed the app.
Honorary mention should've been when Silva travelled forward in time to see what combos Bisping would use against him and then went back in time again to use his knowledge during their fight.
The most talented to ever do it, and please don’t come talking abou Mighty Mouse, he never faced competition at the level that Anderson did.
I feel that Izzy and Anderson have similar styles. Kick boxers. However, Anderson Silva would have made Sean Strickland look like Chris Leben
The way he toyed with 205ers was also epic. When he voluntarily put himself back, up against the cage, to "help" Stephen Bonner, totally care-free, showed just how advanced he was. ...or KOing Forrest with a stepping-backwards, pawing jab. Silva in his prime years is the GOAT. *(Total career GOAT = GSP)*
Easiest fights!
…obviously…we just watched it..he was levels above everyone..
Favorite MMA fighter. You can tell he has a passion for martial arts and he isn't just in it for fame or fortune. 0:09 “Fighting is my life, fart is my heart” -Anderson Silva Jokes aside, he was incredible.
