One of the main reasons Jimin is my bias because we have almost the same hobbies. I've been making bracelets and necklaces for a long time now so this vlog just seemed so much special to me!

making your own jewelry is so much fun. Jimin had a great beginner project- sawing, filing, texturining, annealing and polishing. check with your local bead store or local silversmiths for beginner classes, that is how I started

He's so darn adorable...Can you imagine if he auctioned one of his bracelets for charity how much it would make? I know I wouldn't be able to buy it but I'd sure try! ETA: He could make an entire line of jewelry and considering how fast his earrings sold out, it would be so successful. I'd love to see a collab with the company (I forget the name) whose cross earrings he wears the most. I'd love a ring designed by him!

We made yarn 🧶 bracelets, but we always had a race on how fast you can make a pot holder. It was a square plastic frame with plastic teeth and cloth like rubber bands. OMG I FEEL OLD. That was back in elementary school 1974

Lol i loved the start especially with the totally wrong type of hammer you two are so funny!!!! (i'll comment later when i've watch the whole episode)
I make Jewellery so i have a lot to say about this episode (i absolutely love it) Not sure what other Jewellers thought but i think Jimin did exceptionally well for the first time and old breaking 2 blades was great)
So yeah of course i've made my own bracelet and others too (not been to a workshop specifically for bracelets but i have done a few jewellery courses)
the metal is silver (not steel, steel is a lot harder to use a starter definitely would not be using it). The file is normal steel yeah I guess you could say it's like a big metal nail file (i wouldn't advice you use it on your nail it'd take off more than you like lol).
Yes the blades are incredibly sharp they can seriously hurt you if you aren't careful! (Actually no you can't avoid breaking the blades because they're super thin...you break less as you learn but you still get days where they break a lot)
Yeah they're super satisfying to make and relaxing unless its a unique commission then there is pressure).
no there was no welding, he was annealing the silver to making it softer so he could hammer the effect he wanted to onto the metal (sometimes you have to do this several times so the metal says soft enough).
sanding- no that is the exact way it work for jewellery too you sand it will different grades until it's smooth enough that you can polish it!
the polish doesn't smell nice but it's fine once it's cleaned off lol Jimin was so cute for smelling it.

All four of my wisedom teeth came in crack, so I had to have them all surgically removed, I had 2 at a time done, the first two I did local anesthesia, which keeps you awake, the last 2, I had the dentist knock me out and I actually lost weight , both times.

Still can't stand that grinding noise. Reminds me of going to the dentist. Love the activity Jimin chose however. He is so cool.
