Your loc journey is the reason why I considered getting locs. I made an appointment and will be getting them done in 2 weeks. I simply cannot wait to eliminate the guess work of what to do with my hair. Thanks for sharing your journey with us!!
Just like everyone else. ...the color was a fantastic choice and now I want to color my hair. ..right now I'm doing two strand twist outs and eventually want to lock my hair. Thanks for the inspiration!
I'm 32...and my greys are coming through like yours I feel like it looks dusty. My fro has gotten larger, so my greys are longer now. I had blonde color 3 years ago, and switched to bronze roots 2 years ago. And last year I dyed it black. Dark and Lovely hair dye works GREAT over Cream of Nature hair dye (in my opinion). Looks super cute!
I've been locked for 6 years now and I have had good results using Clairol Textures&Tones. It's not harsh and I deep condition every time I wash so the color doesn't take away the moisture.
I love it, and I’m not mad at you for doing it!! I’ve been trying to accept and embrace my few grays in the front, but you got me thinking twice. 🙂. Please let us know if you experience excessive dryness and/or breakage. That’s my biggest fear with dying locs.
Will do! The first few days my hair seemed more dry than usual when I had the braids in, but perhaps I wasn't moisturizing it enough. BUT overall, it's fine now. 🙂
Millicent it turned out really pretty. And I love the styles. I used to get my locs colored similarly with my first set and I loved it. I'm 19 months into my journey so if I have them colored again, I'll wait until my 2 or 3 year mark.
Literally just saw notification of your latest vid and was like "sis coloured her hair?!!!! When?!!!" 😯🤩😂 Colour suits you sis! You look even younger! Love the cute styles! I'm finally starting my locs (in 2 months 😅) but thinking of dyeing my hair first bc I've never coloured my hair before (and I'm scared). Have you ever used henna to dye your hair? Or which hair dye brand do you recommend?
I've never used henna before actually. I personally like Dark & Lovely products as well as Clairol Texture and Tones, but that's just me. Thank you for watching and good luck on your upcoming journey!🙂
@@NaturallyMichy hi thank you for your prompt reply. This is helpful. I always struggle with color on my locs so im praying this works for me this time. Thank you again. 😊
@@NaturallyMichy had a coworker that tried it came out nice she had a warm brown color. I thought about it trying...doing some research b/c they have different types and colors.
It was funny seeing your action to the color. I like that color better than the one on the box. You can gradually lighten the color. Overall I like it.
@@NaturallyMichy that's what's up. I totally thought you have to bleach your hair in order to get colors like that. I'm going to have to try that. I really want to dye my hair but I just didn't want to put bleach. By the way, can you subscribe back to a sistah lol
@@NaturallyMichy is there a Bengali food market near you? They have actual rose water for next to nothing. Right along with cheap split peas and roti skins!
I know that’s right lol! I asked because I just colored mine, just not sure how often to touch up the roots. But like you, I may just play it by ear too lol
I was asking My Husband and should I go Cranberry or golden highlights😮 🤔 He Said go Gold First with highlights it goes w/my nose ring 🥳🤩🤗 He think he know me 👄
When the color fades more greys come with it I noticed it so I decided not to color anymore until I am fully grey right now I just have a couple of strings here and there majority of my hair is still my natural color
I like the way it came out. To me it looks better than the color on the box!
I really like the results! Do what you gotta do! Its your hair/life! Period! 🖤
Thank you!!!🤗😘💕
It’s like a reverse ombré. Love this so beautiful.
You can get the Heritage rose water from Marshall’s, TJ Maxx or Home Goods for like $7 for a larger bottle that’s where I stock up on mines
Thank you soooooooo much for sharing!!! Definitely keeping a note on that!😘💕

I love the two buns... one of my current go to styles.
Thank you for sharing. I want to color mines, but not with bleach. Your locs look so healthy and beautiful. The color looks great!
The color your hair turn out to be after the first result is nice that color or darker is what I like, stay safe and fine!
Next week makes one year for me. I got my loose hair colored bright orange right before I loc’d up. Get a touch up this Wednesday and can’t wait!! 🍊
I love the color, the video, and especially the curls. I am about to color my hair. This was helpful. Thank you.

Love it! I can tell you were loving it in those styling clips! Great job!

Some features of your face remind me of Tori Kelly. Can’t put my finger on it. Love your locs 💜
How did the color hold up? Did it damage your locs? Your locs are very beautiful
I like Creme of nature. It came out nice!
That dark brown color at the ends from your first dye job is what I’m going for, my hair is black

Beautiful! Love the color. How many locs do you have? Thank you!
I have 154 locs.
GORGEOUS!!!!
Do you wash your hair first (day before/day of) then dye it then rewash with the dark and lovely products? Or just go in unwashed?
I just go in unwashed. Most products will ask you to use the products on unwashed hair.
Omg I love how it came out! It was like a halo hair color
Yeeaaahhhhhh! Thank you!🤗😁💕
Super cute ❤I love it
Hi, love the video it was so helpful. Quick question did you use all 3x boxes?
I think I used 2-1/2 boxes, but I probably could had gotten away with only using 2.

Cute, I love the color. I want to color mines but I'm sooo nervous. I don't think color likes my hair

When you dye locs can you use any shampoo and conditioner?
I used Neutrogena Anti- Residue Shampoo and the conditioner that came with the boxed dye.
what app did you use for the color of the 4 color choices you had
Very nice. You can get bottles of CORTAS rosewater from Amazon much cheaper. And get a $1 spray bottle. Just FYI for those on a budget.
