- What's up UA-cameee!!! I finally restored my old AF 1's. Story time: I bought this pair last 2015 at an ukay-ukay at Pedro Gil Taft for only Php300. Pretty solid, noh? Actually, I've been planning on doing these kind of videos for years now, and now I finally got the guts to make one. This is my first ever restoration video, hopefully masundan pa. BUT!!! Watch out for my next video, guys. I'm planning to hydro dip these Air Force 1's. Comment down below if I should do it or maybe if I get atleast 100 likes on this video I'll do it. Ty cause i didn't know what I'd really do to mine i was gonna peel it n hydro dip it ty for the video I'll follow the specs but most of the stuff u use idk it would of be better mentioning all the materials u use other than that great video it is very helpful

Hey dude I cleaned my airforces but there are some places now that it seems like the white paint faded, is there like a paint or something I can use to cover it up?
if it's the leather part that faded, you could use some leather paint. but if it's the midsoles, i recommend you use hair bleach and oxidizer, cover it with cling wrap an put it directly on the sun for 48 hours. it's okay to use acrylic paints as well on soles but only if you're gonna use a good brand so it wouldn't look pigmented. good luck!

@@alexandrosdoxakis8178 just keep doing the process til you get your desired result. also, use shoe trees when you're stocking your shoes to at least prevent from leaving the crease after use :)
does the paint or restorer crack after some wears again or is it holding together?
I think it depends on how much you use the shoes. I don’t use mine that much so it still looks good.

@@yamb0i meron po kasi sbe sken ng kekao matte and glossy eh dko alam alin sa dalawa po
@@Justchowk choice niyo po kung gusto niyo ng gloss or matte finish. based on my experience, mas prefer ko po ang matte finish kasi di ko gusto kapag “shiny” ang finish ng sneakers ko.

What other products can i use in placement of the crack solution by kekao, any recommendations??

i know a different method but it's way too pricey and much more difficult to achieve. you'll need a Vinyl and Leather Repair Kit, a rotary tool, heat gun, super glue, and of course your choice of leather paint.
What did u use to fix the rip in the leather
I used Crack Solution by Kekao Shoe Care then used sandpaper to flatten the surface before painting it

but it still depends on the material of the sneakers. if it’s a canvas or fabric-like sneaker, better to use acrylic paint

Hi! Planning to do DIY restoration on mine. What leather paint color can i use to restore chalk white continental 80?
Not sure if there is an actual leather paint shade for chalk white colorways. Try researching about Angelus leather paint if there's one closer to a chalk white colorway :)

Everything is on the video, sir. Hindi mawawala paint as long as you use the right one on the material of the shoe
Why didn’t you use a shoe tree?
If you’re talking about the decreasing part, I actually thought about using a shoe tree but I wanted to give my viewers an idea on what alternatives they can use if they don’t own shoe trees. I used a pair at the end when I finished it btw :)

it’s up to you really. if di naman necessary or di naman malala yung paint cracks ng sneakers, no need to use crack solution :)

Can I use acrylic paint for fabric on the shoes?
if the fabric is canvas, acrylic paint would be okay. i don't recommend to use it on leather shoes

Does the towel need to be wet or dry?
it has to be damp.

How did you whiten the sole?
I used a hair oxidizer and let it sit on the sole for roughly 24-72 hours.

Just use spray to paint. They look cheap asf at the end. Either that or go for the hydro dip. Outcome would have been better. Just saying all that work for that outcome ain’t worth.
I agree, there was still a bunch of peeling stuff and the paint job was sloppy… I would’ve stripped as much paint as I could in the beginning and put on a primer coat and dipped them

How to remove yellowish sole?
what i did is i used hair developer (oxidizer), put it on the sole where the yellowing is, wrapped it with cling wrap or any transparent plastic that’s available, and let it sit under the sun for about 24 hours or until i was satisfied with the result, then i rinsed it with cold water :)

It’s a crack solution. If you’re from the Philippines, you can buy them from Kekao Shoe Care. That’s where I got mine from.
