Welcome to ‘The Great Adventure 5’. 🚤 This Series we’ve reunited with our beloved boat the ‘Salty Dingo’ which has been repaired and left neglected for a couple of years after being smashed on ‘The Great Adventure 3’. We’re planning an epic journey up a new coastline that is spectacularly rugged, and one hell of a challenge to navigate in a small boat… Wish us luck! 🏴☠️ Big love, Strick & Fran
Got to be one of the nicest couples on YT...no B/S, no carrying on like others, just a lovely mature couple. Your identifying the sealife, giving an idea of where you are on the map is awesome. Thanks so much guys. Both just so lucky to have found each other...
*TIP: You ought to bring some GHEE a type of clarified butter that doesn't need refrigeration. Could fry some fish with it & for crayfish, potatoes & whatever you would use butter for!! 👍🏻😋 Beautiful footage, as always, thanks for bringing us along!! 🥰
- 20:18 The cuttlefish is *deff* a beautiful highlight. It *knew* you could've ate it, but instead, it trusted you && was *just as* if not more, curious than you were. ❤
Here i am in the UK and in total awe of you guys. Fearless, entertaining, and above all knowledgeable. I cant wait for my Sunday evening sit down to watch what you've been up to. I tell anyone who will listen about your videos. Keep up the amazing adventures. I hope i can return to Oz again one day so i can swim among to reefs.
Strick would have to be your first choice to have in a lifeboat. Skills, intelligence and positive demeanor. Such a contrast in scenery from the other places you have been. But no matter where you guys go, no shoes, even in the land of Reindeer, wading in icy water. That is beyond me. I never thought I would ever see the Salty Dingo again, so cool.
Don’t know if y’all would be interested but Brooks Crist Outdoors has an amazing lobster tickle stick and net that she designed herself !! Looks like it works great!!!
I had a medical issue and recovery a few years back and thats when i first started watching your vids, while recuperating at home for nearly 2 months, good to see you back on the salty dingo, brings back some memories
i love this channel! fran is the woman i wish i could have swooned in my younger days! congrats strict ! you and fran have a bright future ahead of you!! keep the adventures! alive!
Srick and Fran, it's always fantastic to watch your episodes even if you don't watch them in sequence. A mix of learning with experiences, adventure and life. Once you start watching it, it's unstoppable. If I watched National Geographic as a kid, I believe that the naturalness of your presentation makes everything more appealing, giving everything an unexpected aspect. A lot of work behind these episodes, well done and very good.
Awesome ! leaving the concrete jungle and jumping into a new adventure in the open sea & and explore islands is what you both Fran & Strick do best ! LOVE all your exciting brilliant under - and over water footages ! Good luck❤!❤✌
Guys, wishing you the best of luck for a safe, happy and fun time on your 'The Great Adventure 5'! 1st episode epic as ever! So looking forward to following along with you, thanks for sharing totally unique places, wildlife, amazingly fresh and tasty food, that I can only dream of experiencing! Take care guys and much ❤ to you both!
That beach full of the small shells 🐚was extraordinary. I couldn't make out what kind of bird Fran said made the nest on the cliff. I appreciated the titles identifying what you look at while diving. I can't believe you guys went different directions with so many sharks 🦈🦈 near. You mention the bird smell. Sell scratch and sniff cards for the B2B castaways! Bird guano, sea air, fish, campfire smoke, fish frying, coconut, flowers etc. The viewing audience gets a more full experience.
One of the best channels on UA-cam. I love the informal, unscripted nature of you two. Eating a lovely hand caught dinner on top of a drum of fuel....I wouldn't change a thing.
Long time follower, first time commenting. I love you guy's, in my opinion, this is the best youtube channel out there. The cinematography is second to none, and every episode is original and very entertaining. Keep up the great work, Strick and Fran, you guys rock.
I cannot believe the best duo on YT are literally in my home town right now in Perth! You drove straight past my building in the CBD- thank you for all that you share, it has inspired me (after HOURS and HOURS of watching all of your videos), to stop the rat race and pursue life as a nomad/business owner. Hope to meet you two one day and say thank you in person. Appreciate you both!!
Freaking LOVVVVE this channel so much and I hope Strick will always support Fran because she is the woman I wanted to be. I wanted to be a marine biologist on a science ship studying Humpback whales but life took a crazy turn for me so it didn't happen unfortunately. I am in awe of her education and her love of you, Strick. Working on my dive certification right now and while it won't push me into a career studying one of the most beautiful animals in the ocean, it will allow me to live underwater whenever I can! 🌎🌊🐋🐢🥰💙
How about a compilation of all of your beach meals? Amazing you can conjure up such delicious food and serve it like a 4 star restaurant! Love to experience them all in one video.
It must be breathtaking being surrounded by so much beauty. U guys manage to capture some really amazing underwater and land shots of the wildlife. Sometimes it seems to put on a show for the camera. Amazing channel. Edinburgh, Scotland.
Woo-Hoo another Great Adventure with Strick & Frannie!!! I can't tell you how much I look forward to these forays into the Amazing areas in and around Australia! You always have the best adventures, as well as the best video capturing them while showing off the flora and fauna that surrounds you both! It's nice to see the "Salty Dingo" in it's natural element once again, and I hope it's two year vacation wasn't too hard on it and it's systems so that the rest of this Grand Adventure goes smoothly with no major issues (like swamping her in the surf,.....sorry Fran!). It's also very lovely to see you both back in your natural element and I look forward to every Sunday (Saturday evening here in the Great White North) to see what you guys have gotten up to!! Best wishes on another Magnificent Adventure, with much Love from here in Canada!! - Dave
It is incredible how beautiful, rugged and diverse Australia is. We are fortunate to get to see it with you two. I had a friend who drove 30,000 miles around Aus and remember seeing his photos. This was back in the 90's. Now with high def video it all comes to life.
I just absolutely love you two. You have the best and most epic adventures. Makes me wish i was young again. Please be safe, looking forward to living your new adventure with you. Love from the U.S.
The way you embrace the solitude and natural beauty of such an isolated experience reflects your spirit of adventure and love for the outdoors. Your journey not only highlights your passion for exploration but also inspires others to seek out their own extraordinary experiences in nature. And I am Floating Village Life.
GREAT! another adventure with Salty Dingo and the open top Italian Restaurant 😉. We didn't recognise the lady in jeans and tee shirt at first... 🤣. Good luck guys with the new adventure...Love from the UK.
What a wonderful way to start a new adventure! When you guys going to start a real adventure and have a kid? With Fran as the mom, and Strick as the dad, it would be an awesome baby!!
Fran is such an incredible woman. What a lucky man you are! I am an outdoor person my wife is the total opposite. She is an expert at complaining and if not for my boat I would have to endure the pain of being with her 24 hours a day 😂 thanks for the content and for sharing a special part of your lives with us. PS baby if you read this I love you more than life itself. Just a little insurance 😅😅😅
The more labels of the different species the better for me i really love when you do that in your videos. I live on the other side of the world and i find it really interesting... Thanks guys cant wait to see what you guys get into!
Y’all have me sooooo hooked on watching your adventures that I’m now on track with catching your new videos every time you post them now ❤❤❤ I love y’all and enjoy keeping up with your adventures 🤩
Strick, surprised you didn’t check the Salty Dingo before you left, you sorted out the truck. Riley would be slapping your wrists for you, for not checking, what is essentially your home for the next few months. be careful shes an old girl now with battle scars. Loving the new episode even though missing the newer boat.
Love you guys! Always look forward to your vids. You even show us that its not always perfect and you are 2 individuals who can get on each others nerves every now and then. I agree Fran that Jack was being "so dramatic" when he said you almost sunk the Dingo. Its the little things like that endear us to you. Real people in wonderful places. Cinematography is top notch and editing is really well done. Heres hoping you make lots of money and still do back to basics with a bit safer and more comfortable boat. Salty has served you well, but you deserve an upgrade!!
Hi Fran and Strick, I enjoy your beautiful videos...specially when Fran shares her amazing abilities to spear fishing with such a precision or just fishing from the beach or from the edge of the boat, you are so unique and on top of all that your are a great chef with great recipes that I try and taste so good! Your videos are so educational and impressive...Thank you for all you both do! Manuela from Los Angeles CA.
Welcome out West! We love our redbacks here :) Take care. Am a little confused with timelines after cast away and indo trip, but if you're here in the winter right now, blue skies abound but can be cold!
Watching from Northern California, the sitting lady on side of Salty Dingo, looks like emblem for Beer in Tahiti . Love watching your videos, finall got to spent a month on your Gold Coast , my wife and I, in 2018, snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef. If you want to explore California, also the Gold country here, come and stay with Us.
This is the best marine footage I’ve ever seen! Better than Steve Irwin, the discovery channel and other documentaries! Thank you for creating this for us

I reckon I could have watched you two unpack and pack your entire Ute and enjoyed it as much as I did with this episode! Loved it. Love the adventures. Thanks guys
You guys are awesome! I love your videos. I'd love some land camping and trekking. You guys have the best Toyotas in Australia. Thanks for all the hard work you put into your videos and letting us enjoy them free.
Wow what an awesome adventure and big ups to the salty dingo she's a beast of a boat. I wish you fair winds and safe travels. Can't wait to see what's next ❤❤❤
Thanks for all the videos guys!! If I may, PLEASE be careful of the teflon pans. The Chips are extremely toxic. Wooden spoons only on teflon. Better yet, just use uncoated pots n pans. Much much safer.
Wow. This is a fun new way to travel with you. Much love from out here in the high deserts of southern Utah, Zion. I love seeing you play on the water, but the desert Landscape travel is something I know by heart Wildin', alien beauty I hope to visit one day. You're welcome at my fire anytime Cheers Love, peace, unity
Bit hard to maintain your own boat when you’re on the other side of the country floating round an ocean on another adventure with Castaways bro. Just sayin. Not hating. Just hard to do anything when you physically haven’t been anywhere near it in 2 years.
@@benny82ish came home from previous trip. Organizing new trip using the salty dingo. Thought maintenance on boat, trailer and car plus organising equipment, clothes and food would be a normal thing before going out on new trip. Just sayin🤔🇦🇺🦘😁
- 12:54 . Wow, I've *never* seen a birds nest so massive other than the "community" type birds who all make their nests together. So cool to see. Can't wait for these adventures. Wish I was there too !!. 🐦 🪹 🪺
Luv you guys. Strick, give the girl a night out in a nice restaurant before you travel. The lady is starting to look as though she could do with a good feed.
Hey you two , glad to see the beginning of your " new " adventure . Beautiful photography of the land/ beach areas as well as the coral life . I would say , " stay safe " but ..what's the fun in that ? Have a good week .
When you get back to the truck, b wary of those calipers letting go. The will extend out so far that the pins will release fluid which will affect the front brakes. You will have no brakes at all that means zero.

Sand will firm up when wet. Buckets of water poured around your wheels could help if you’re stuck in soft sand. 😉😊
I'm amazed of the lack of maintenance on boat and trailer before you left on your new adventure. 🤔🤔🇦🇺🦘🪃🇦🇺🦘🪃
Fran is sooooooooooo GORGEOUS!!!!❤
- 12:54 . Wow, I've *never* seen a birds nest so massive other than the "community" type birds who all make their nests together. So cool to see. Can't wait for these adventures. Wish I was there too !!. 🐦 🪹 🪺
outstanding!!! be safe and have fun!!!
Gooood evening from central Florida! Hope everyone has a great night!
Not gonna lie. That fold out stove you guys have is awesome!!
So good to have you guys back ❤ can’t wait to see where you take us

What. Where is the new boat?
- Glad to see a new video 📹 🙌🏽!
When you get back to the truck, b wary of those calipers letting go. The will extend out so far that the pins will release fluid which will affect the front brakes. You will have no brakes at all that means zero.
