In this Video I am cutting back my Brugmansia before a forecasted freeze. I am in Louisiana Zone 8b and they tell me that I can leave my plant in the ground and that it will come back in the spring, I'll update here in comments if it survives. At the end of December 2022 we had 2 days of 14 degree temps with 48 hours below freezing which is rare for us. We have mild winters generally. Most of the time we don't even get snow in the winter.

I really enjoyed seeing 👀 this video ❤ i have 2 beautiful Angel 😇 Trumpets 🎺. Im always worried I'm gonna lose them in the winter. Thankfully, they have survived 😊 I'm definitely going to try this process for this cold weather coming up in the next couple of days in my part of Texas. 😊 Thank you for sharing ❤

I actually just got my first green house and I pulled my Angel trumpets in...and in about a month I needed more room...and I cut them off and have I don't know how many rooting! I made sure to leave any "forks" as they say that they don't bloom until the fork!!! So you could probably cut a piece of yours off and do an experiment...I change my water about every 5 days...and I use 3 cups of water to 1 Tbsp of Hydrogen peroxide...no leaves in water ever....and you may as well pull all the leaves off because they usually all fall off and then regrow...the fatter the cutting the better it grow roots.

🙂Hi.We live in Denmark and we put all our Brugmansia cuttings in wet perlite which is free of bacteria and the cuttings stand here until spring where the cuttings are planted in garden pots soil 🙂

We kepp the cutting boxes cool with the rest of the Brugmansia for overwintering without frost. About 8/10 Celsius..50 degrees F and they will be rooting during the winter and ready to be put in potting soil in Februar.😊

@@A.O.P247 I bought that one in a one gallon container...that was one years growth! Also I read that they won't bloom until the branch forks...I'm going to watch my plants and see if that's true...I just bought 10 cuttings and I have probably 30 from where I cut this one back...I've got to figure out where to plant them!!!

@@A.O.P247 I just planted it in the spring, so that's one years growth...I've planted them in the past and they died, I learned that they like to be watered regularly and fertilized...Oh and they won't bloom until the plant forks is what someone told me....
