My school is having a meeting tonight about if we should switch to 8 man. Being in Maine there are a lot of small schools like this school so many schools have gone to the 8 man style. If we stay with 11 that means less teams ( at least in junior high and lower grade rec ball) to play; however, if we go with 8 man the schedule would potentially become to big. I tried being an assistant coach for the first time in my life for the 7/8th grade team last year. And I quickly realized how much you really don't know about something until you try t coach it. That being said, I am a bit intimidated to have to learn a new style of play and rules when I just got done rapping head around all that I thought I knew about standard 11 man. Any thoughts let me know.
