I have done this job for 5 years and now came off it. I give you so much respect for always being positive. Places like Amazon and Tesco treat drivers like dirt. Good luck with your business bro.
How come you helped unload the container. Whenever I've been on containers i just open the doors. It's not my responsibility to unload & even after they tipped, any rubbish or pallets left in the box I've had to tell them to clean it out as it's not my responsibility & I'm not insured to get in the box.
It’s not about “being lazy”, it’s about safety. If you’re not insured and get in the box and have an injury, the company will not cover you for any medical bills or loss of earnings or compensation. I’m definitely not lazy but if my boss says I’m not covered to get in the box then I’m not getting in. My life is more important than risking it for a company to empty their goods. You learn this with experience.
@@BrotherTruckerUK I think common sense can dictate a situation. I’d rather help than sit and watch someone struggle thankfully i have life insurance that covers me.
@@Ste923 absolutely mate. Completely agree. But still, if you’re covered, by all means help unload. If not, it’s not worth the risk. That’s my opinion anyways. I wanna get home to my kids safe and sound.

Start my new job Monday driving class 1 can’t wait passed my test back is Feb haven’t done HGV driving as a profession before just hope I can reverse as good as you ASAP! 😂
Congrats on the new adventure mate! Don’t worry about reversing, it will become 2nd nature after a short while. Just practice in open spaces as much as you can. Also, never allow other drivers to pressure you, always take your time especially when reversing. Take as much time as you need. The slower you go, the easier it is to adjust your trailer. Best of luck and welcome to the world of trucking! 🚛💨 P.S if you’re ever unsure, get out the cab and check. And don’t be afraid of asking for help. We drivers look out for each other 😎👍
Take your time, don't stress, pre plan your route. If anyone puts any pressure on you or laughs at your reversing tell then fo F themselves. Focus on your work and don't rush. Good luck brother
Hey bud your doing a really good job as I’m also a lorry driver class 2 and in this video I can’t believe your in Trowbridge/ Bradford on Avon. I live nearby next time your here I’ll give you a wave
Listen. You’re doing a great job in a difficult climate. So well done. 👍 my only observation is the way you hold the steering wheel when you’re driving. If you have never experienced a front blowout on one of these things at 56mph trust me it will be over before you even realise what’s happening. I can’t stress the importance of holding the wheel because if they let go that steering wheel is snatched quicker than you can blink. Just a bit of advice. It’s happend to me twice in 25yrs and it scares the crap out of you. 😮 keep on trying though and keep pushing forward. 👍👍
@@michaeldavies5889 at what point did I say anything about being better??? I was only giving advice from someone who’s had it happen to them twice in their driving career. So go back to watching peppa pig! Something on your IQ level.

Do you plan to do containers forever? Or it's only temporary and in the future, do you want to do convoi exceptionnel stuff or maybe a fridge trailer and go out on the road for a week or two for example?
Depends on the site bud. Lidl and aldi are self unload only. Roxanne water derby way is self load. Based on maritime setting their trucks to a poxy 50mph I'd say they had the cheapest insurance policy possible so that is probably the case
Hey mate, How do I apply for the truck driving job as a non experience person and also I'm a foreigner to UK... Do you have any idea about that? Can I apply for the job?
Yes you can apply for driving jobs as long as you have a residency or work visa. Do you have the category c+e on your driving licence? This allows you to drive lorry’s in the Uk. Without experience, your best bet is to try as many agencies as you can find. Do that for 1 year, then you will have enough experience for most permanent jobs. Good luck mate. Ask if you have any questions. We drivers look out for each other! 😎👍🚛💨
@@BrotherTruckerUK Thanks mate! I am from Sri Lanka and I have the c+e license and also I have converted it into an international driving license.... Can I apply with that? and could u recommend the sites that I can find agencies as u says? Thanks ur reply and appriciate ur honest
@@xtremegamezlk72 I believe you can drive on an international licence for up to 1 year. But you can apply for a full UK licence within that year and then use it forever. The main job sites I have used would be Indeed, Totaljobs, CVlibrary, LinkedIn and probably just google. Search google for “Hgv class 1 driving jobs” along with the location you’re looking for. There are lots of options available. I would suggest first, do agency/temporary work for the first year, then you would have enough experience to apply for a permanent driving position.
