Blogger, journalist and author Andrew Sullivan is a popular source of provocative, astute political and social commentary. NPR called him “one of the most widely read, influential and prolific political voices online.”
At Newsweek and the Daily Beast, Sullivan was one of the first journalists to experiment with blogging. Throughout the first 15 years of the new millennium, Sullivan chronicled every major political and cultural moment in real time, helping to legitimize the medium by publishing 250 to 300 posts a week that reached some 1.3 million subscribers. In 2015, Sullivan announced his retirement from his blog, “The Dish,” which he wrote for and edited since 2000.

Among all the plaudits for Andrew, it has to be added that Greenfield is a great interviewer. He is well informed, he listens and responds in a very thoughtful way and draws out great content without any histrionics.

when "in extremis" is normalized then you need to normalize state corrections. There is a wobbly line here between left and right, and I am not sure he is being entirely upfront.

I am not gay, i am not religious, i am not highly educated. I am extremely impressed by this gentleman and his ability to vocalize his struggle and advocate for the portion of humanity who have been denied the right to love and be loved the way that every heterosexual person on earth is allowed to. I am moved by his story and the emotional and psychological trauma that he has had to endure and clearly is tremendously impacted by. When he states that President Obama would have been more successful had he not been black i have to agree, and am saddened and humiliated by the people in government who prohibited the USA to benefit from
The courage, insight, and willingness of this great president to take the hard line and successfully maneuver the government to be what it really is meant to be. By the people, for the people, of the people. I am so glad to have come across this interview and find that there is another champion who by his reverence and humility may ultimately convey the need for social change and why we will be a better union for it. Thanks also to you tube for providing this platform for viewing. There is hope and light for many who continue to be victimized the world over.

Andrew is so squiggly, isn't it? Can't stay still, keeps moving from side to side, once he's folding left leg over right, next moment he's crossing the right over the left.
