There's just no pleasing some people; they have to have something to complain about. She just might be a "KAREN". Love your "accent" and your channel. Thank you for your entertaining is Cam. Have a good week.
I'm a "Karen" I love you're accent. I'm really sick of people blaming everyone as a "Karen". Let's just start saying "Rude" ppl
Love the accent. Reminds me of my family in Louisiana and Mississippi. I was raised and live in Michigan.
@Whatisthetruth711 we love you Karen.
You know, one thing Cam is NOT is a judgmental person. Your "Karen" comment has no place on this channel. It's an insult to us and an insult to Cam.
@@washingtonroad6738 And the irony is you're the person in the thread who's being judgmental!
We all have to behave like you'd want, like you'd think is polite...?
Ohhhh--kkkayyyy!
Karen!
Oh Cam, I'm Texan and SOUND like a country hick. My voice hides a headful of intelligence, so i catch a lot of people off guard lol. Along with my pronounced drawl I have a hillbilly sounding tone. Nothing wrong with hillbillies, but I'm a flat lander like you lol. I was astonished the first time I heard my recorded voice.
Susie, I love it when people underestimate me. Haha! It gives you the upper hand if needed. 😂
Susie--Amen !!!
It's your voice and personality that make me listen over and over again. Calm, strong, interesting and perfect for a goodnight story. Thank you for you.
I feel the same way!
Same 😍
Me too
She is just jealous of your voice! We love you and your voice Cam!
Nobody forced that woman to listen to your channel‼️ Keep on keepin on Cam. 👍🏽
I lived in the UP!! We had a “Creature” who used the side of our Home to Scratch his back!! He was HUGE!! E made an EERIE SOUND!!
😲 Say what? You had a creature...???
What part? I had a friend who lived up there...I wish I could recall the town...who said related something similar.
I have family in Newberry and I live in the "Thumb" of the LP!!!!
Wild hogs will do that n they’re vicious
I live in Michigan and was raised here. My family is from Louisiana and Mississippi. Love this story and the way you talk.
You have the best voice Cam❣️No accounting for some people. Just now hearing your story. Excited!!!
If she doesn't like it, then she should not listen. I love it 😊and I will keep listening.
Well I bloody love your accent so there it's our different accents that make us interesting and there's a lot in the UK where I live if you don't like the accent don't listen to it simple as that, thanks for all your posts and your wonderful accent, atvb Dave
The one and only , Cam Buckner. We love the sound of your voice, period!✨️🤍🙏🕊👣🌎

We LOVE your voice, Cam 😊
Hey Cam, don't let idiots get to you!! I'm from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and I like the way you sound!!!
Thank you, Cam!!! I will always be a fan of you and your storytelling. It's good to have you back for as long as we can have you.
I love hearing you. Hard to find a true Southern Voice. Your people love it don't let 1 rotten apple ruin your day. Thank you for being here, Cam.
I'm from NW Michigan. I love these stories. Oscoda is about 50 miles east of where the Dog Man sightings began in the 1800's.
Hi hi.
Clare, Michigan here ☕️☕️👋
Holy cow I have a place 30 min from there! I have heard and seen weird and strange things up there. I caught a glimpse of something up there one time that I can’t even explain now all I know is up there you don’t want to be alone in the woods….especially at night.
Can't believe that anyone has the audacity to, even, comment on your accent, let alone find fault with it!!! I'm here to tell you, Cam, that your people LOVE you - and all the JOY you bring EVERY TIME you upload a video. You have every right to be proud of who you are and where you come from. Don't even think of changing a thing!! Hopefully, the character who made the negative comments has moved on to bother someone else!!
If it makes any difference. I listen to your podcast because I love your voice and personality
Never mind her, you keep doing you Cam. We’re here for Dixie Storytime. The stories are bar none 💯%.
Damn Cam! Missed you bad. You make these encounters so awesome. Appreciate you so much. 👍😃
Awesome to see another story ! Thanks Cam!!
Don't worry bout those who don't know the difference between am okie n a southern gentleman!!
Happy New Year Cam🫶 we love your accent 🤦♀️ some people are really board😫
I am a New Yorker who was born in Puerto Rico and came here at the age of 4. I love your accent. Unfortunately there’s no pleasing some people. You are hands down my favorite story teller. That term Oki I have heard in the past applied to people living near the Okee Finokee swamp (probably butchered the spelling. Keep up the stories Cam and hope the chickens haven’t made it to the cooking pot😅
Man,"Okee from Fenokee" (sp) sounds so familiar. However, there is a phrase in a song "Okie from Muskogee, OK USA."
Now, I'm just confused.🤓😃
@@leeannmettlach2412 welcome to the club. Now I am really confused 😕
Me too because I love watching those chickens scratching around looking for bugs😁
I like your accent. You are my people.
Cam, so thankful for you and your efforts. You give us more attention than we deserve. Teaser about a new Steve Lilly has me so excited. I’m not ashamed to admit i’ve gone through the available series twice while you completed your task. Appreciate you, God Bless. ♥️🦶🏿❤
I have also listened again to the entire Steve Lilly series as well as all the audio books Cam has done. I missed his stories too! Lol
Hey Cam. Thanks for another great story. So good to hear you read again. I hope you was able to take some time off with your family.
Bring on 2024! Our Cam is back! 😊
From one Bama boy to a Mississippi boy, be proud of Southern heritage. You be you.
Hey Cam, Happy New Year from across the pond. I'll look forward to listening to this tomorrow as it's bedtime hear in the Uk. Well, it is for me :)
Hey Cam! I'm so glad that you are back! We've really missed you!!! Great story. Thanks 😊 ❤
I loved the story. He was a great writer. Thanks, Cam.
I keep forgetting that these aren’t your personal stories. You’re such a good narrator.
Thank you Cam! We all really appreciate you, your wonderful voice and stories!
Your accent is one of the perks of your Podcasts! The way you read the stories reminds me of when my sixth grade teacher would ask me to read stories to the kids on a rainy day at school for recess. The expression you put into telling the stories, plus the accent, is the best combination I can think of for telling stories. You have a gift. Thank you for sharing it!
Amazing story Cam. Thank you. Your accent just adds to the story and you articulate your words very well.😊
We appreciate you Cam. I love listening to anything about Michigan.
Glad to hear you for the New Year
Cam being back is the best new year gift CAM YOU THE MAN

So glad you're back. I found your podcast while searching for something to help with the depression of disability. They remind me of the stories of my Parents, Grandparents and great grandmothers. One day I will pen my own experiences and send you. God bless you and your family. Stay safe.

Cam, Ohio loves your voice ❤ Best storyteller ever!!

Thank you to all who send in there encounters . Many blessings to you and yours. 😊
I agree with everyone commenting, your voice and southern accent is what made me start watching this show from day one. Your personality is amazing and we, “ your people “ love you and this podcast. So Thank you again, much love from NE Illinois 😊
We love you Cam! Don't let those words even enter your thoughts again. Thanks for all the great stories, your people are with you.
Another great one Cam. Thank you!! Happy New Year to you.
This was a great story! His story was detailed, and I found myself back to that time with him. It was a perfect encounter and I think he was sizing him up and curious about him.
The woman that commented is bitter, what a sad life she has. The overwhelming majority love your accent.🤩🤩
GREAT to Have You Back Cam … Your Podcast was Surely Missed these Past Few Months . I’m having a Hip Replacement Tuesday and will be Laid Up at Home 🏡 and will be ANXIOUSLY Waiting for the UA-cam Notification telling me Ya got another One Up .
Thanks Cam
Here's Hoping that your Operation Goes without Complication and that You Heal Quickly and Stay Ready for All Dixie Video's--May God Bless and Keep You...
Praying your surgery goes perfect…in Jesus’s name…amen! And…a quick recovery! 🌿🌻🌿❤️❤️❤️
Well speaking as one of your fans, I LOVE your voice!! She needs to get her hearing checked. I hope your holidays were amazing, just like you!
Thank you for the kind words Cam. I had to relearn how to write in first person narrative form again after nearly 30 years in police work, so that whatever I happened to be writing didn't read as though I was writing a report or case notes.
Yes, Michigan, especially northern Michigan is not densely populated and very densely wooded with huge forests, such as the Manistee. There are many towns and crossroad settlements, but nothing anyone would call a "city" north of Flint. Next to Arizona, Michigan is the most beautiful state in the lower 48.
I do want to clarify something...I did NOT want to shoot it...I wouldn't have hesitated to do so if it attacked, but I am very happy it chose to run off instead so he and I didn't have to hurt one another. It would truly be a shame if circumstances forced someone to kill one of these creatures.
I am still conflicted after all these years though. There is a part of me that feels lucky that I got to see one close up, and have the mystery solved, for me at least...but there's also that part of me that never wants to see another one.
It changed my relationship with the woods forever, and not necessarily for the better because there is ALWAYS that "Am I alone here?" question.
Anyway, have a happy and prosperous New Year Cam.
As a fellow LEO I think I would have reacted as you did. Thanks for sharing and TY for your service. God bless you always… #222
Thanks so much for sharing your story. ❤
@@mainemermaid6596 It was hard, but a long time in coming
Thanks for sharing your story!
You did a great job of telling it.
I think we all understood your desire to only defend yourself only if it came to that point.
I had witnessed some BF activity in a semi-rural place. I worked 7 nights over 3 weeks. Long story, but when you mentioned that it reacted when you touched your gun. I was overcome by these unbelievably loud roars/ screams/shrieks just L of me. I heard about 8-10 of these "sound waves". I'd never felt that kind of physical fear before. Hair standing like wire, shaking head-to-toe, chest tightness making it hard to breathe & teeth clacking. I had forgotten I had my cell in my hand & realized I should've been recording the sounds. Just the thought & the calls began to quickly diminish. I managed to get a single call. Nothing really. It's just wild how they can "read" us.
It doesn't matter if you were a Believer or a Skeptic before - it is a mind-blowing experience to become a Knower. It definitely helps me to be able to listen to other people's encounters & discuss BF in REAL terms.
Kudos for challenging yourself to go back into the woods afterward & WINNING!
Very interesting story! Thanks!
This was an amazing story. You put me right there with you the entire time! I even felt emotional at the end when you described the old property and the way your feelings changed towards the now unrecognizable property. Thank you!
This was a great encounter - told by the best narrator on UA-cam! I could listen to you all day, every day Cam. Not sure why people need to complain when they could just click away and I'm sorry you received a comment like that.
What a great story
Greetings from California , Cam your accent is awesome also your voice comforting. Thank you
Happy New Years Brother I love your accent. Lol Man some people need to get a life don't they Any ways much love good to see you back
Great story Cam!👍🏼
Brother, I wouldnt be concerned about what people say. I am a mountain man from NC, people poke fun at me all the time!!
I'm an Okie, yes, from Oklahoma. Your accent is much different than me and my friends. I thoroughly enjoy it, too.
Glad to see you back Cam. You were sorely missed.
I LOVE this encounter story! My family used to camp in Glennie with a couple who owned a cabin. I've heard 2 accounts now about bigfoot near the Ausable River, where we rafted. We were there between summers/fall 2006 and 07. Who knows if anything was hanging around by then. That cabin also burned down a few years later. Anyway, loved this one! Thank you for sharing!
Howling
Excellent read DC! The silence in the forest is an indicator of a presence whether good or bad. I think the cryptid was a young immature adult and would have attacked the writer out of poor decision making. I think it was watching the man out of curiosity at first and during the surprised contact it was weighing its options. A seasoned cryptid would have known the man was there to hunt and would have stayed hidden in the forest.
The DC family likes your voice just as it is Cam. Thanks for the great video 👍🏻
I love your southern country accent, sense of humor, and charm. Your voice is comforting to me. I can close my eyes and imagine that I'm sitting at a campfire with you and your family, listening to the stories. It's lulled me off to sleep on many nights. Please keep the stories coming. ❤ Thank You everyone who's taken the time to write in.
Sounds like this male Sasquatch wanted to introduce himself to this human. When your out in the woods, your in their home. Always good to make friends with these forest people, if you can get over the shock and fear. They will keep you safe from the REAL PREDATORS in the woods.
You have the most soothing voice we are so lucky to have you! I always get butterflies when I hear "here we go"🎉
Great story!!
What a blessing to come home Friday night to a video, and now have this one to fall asleep after to get rested for another work week.
Cam, has Steve Lilly and the squash hunters. Over their vacation???
I’m from Washington state don’t ever change your accent. We love it.
Thanks cam don't forget about Steve Lilly no rush thanks

You are definitely Not from Oklahoma!!! We LOVE You Cam and part of our love is The Way You Talk!!!! ❤❤❤❤
Cam your voice and “accent” are one of the reasons I love listening to you.
Addicted to your voice as well as your accent Cam. 👍😊 I was born in South Africa but live in New Zealand, and your accent is one of my absolute favourites of all those I've heard during my years. 🌻👌
Just a note to say I love the way you talk. Love that personality of yours and talk of your chickens and roosters. You have the best podcast and truly enjoy the stories.
Also, absolutely loved Steve Lily.
Keep writing my friend. 66 yr old from Utah. Jules.
You are absolutely a river rat and so am I so proud brother
Love ya the way ya are. She's just not happy with herself.
I find your voice very soothing and pleasant.
Cam! You're the best!!!!! Don't change anything about yourself!!!!! Just be you!!!!! ❤😊❤😊
Very good story....thank you to the policeman who sent it and thanks Cam. 😊
I adore your accent. I love listening to you
"Okie" is a derogatory term used by Californians from the dust bowl days during the Great Depression. My grandparents were farmers and during the Depression, waves of people, primarily from Oklahoma, as well as other states affected by the dust bowl would knock at theirs and neighbors doors looking for work. It's not a term often used these days. The woman who said that must think she is funny but it is not usually used in polite company. You have an AWESOME voice!!
Cam, you are the best. You keep doing you, screw all the haters! They're just jealous.
Yay! So happy you posted another video!
Don't worry about the comment that rude lady made about your accent...SMH
Like she has a right to insult people! She's simply a rude person who doesn't have to listen to your podcast....PERIOD! Like my mom always said, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." Seriously, it's that simple. Oh, I love your accent...BTW
Nobody forcing them to listen, I like your accent. Keep it up, much love brother 👍
Great story and glad your back
You have a great voice that’s why I can listen to you , not everyone can have good voices
Narrating with your accent is amazing. You can't please everyone. If they aren't comfortable with it they don't need to listen. Vert simple.. Enjoy listening to you..
I like your voice it's calming
My husband and I love listening to your stories ❤.
Don’t worry about what people say about your accent I’m from Greenville,Ms and moved to Illinois 5-6 years ago and I still have my Mississippi Delta accent. Us delta boys are the best 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
The lady can blow bubbles Cam
