I had a moment when I thought I had make a mistake buying this TV for my PC as everything was choppy and not functioning correctly. That first part getting it set to the higher hz saved me. Thank you!
Just picked up a 55” C3 to replace the 65” CX monitor. Incredible screens. Thanks for all your work!
Thank you for your vid, tomorrow picking up my C3 42 for desktop. Stay golden
Thank you so much for this! just got mine and its a stunner for gaming and work alike!
Thank you so much for this video...Really helpful! Love from INDIA! Keep going and make more of these
This video is a godsend. Liked and subscribed.
Thanks so much for this video. There's a lot of interest in use of the G3/C3s for gaming over on AVSforums (not AVforums, tho' probably there, too), this and your review provide valuable information for that user niche. Well done!
Such a great guide, thank you, much appreciated
Awesome video thanks! One small adjustment I'd make is for the HDR Gaming settings you mention DTM can be on or off, but in game mode there's also a 3rd HGiG option which is recommended by a lot of places.
What would be the in game slider 800nits for HGIG? Also 4000nit for dynamic tone map?
no idea what it is ill turn it of if games dont wort thats their problem
ill have money back
Thank you for the good guide!
Well done, thank you very much.
This couldn't have come at a better time, I have one of these beauties waiting to be set up 2moro. Cheers mate :)
Very useful video tutorial, I wish I have seen this half year earlier.
Been using my LG c3 for 500 hours and learned a few things here ty!!!
What about burn-in? Did you notice something?
@@xhobv02 almost 2500 hours now and zero burn in. I do have a 5 year warranty, but I got mine in August of 2023 and zero issues so far.

Thanks, I thought something was wrong with my new LG C3, i was getting ready to return it lol
What settings would I use for over the air TV channels?
This is the best video ever, I was worried that there won’t be RGB signal acceptance by C3 from my 3090 PC
Any reasons it is changing back? It is asking me to confirm. I confirm and then a 2-3 seconds it still reverses to the old non PC setting.
It's good to see that HDR curve of PQ EOTF Tracking is perfect by default. RTINGS says C3 was over-brightening most of the EOTF for HDR, when Expression Enhancer is OFF. They recommended the setting (Expression Enhancer: Detail).
Oh I didn’t know this give it a try with the dynamic tone map off as intended
what
shouldnt need enhancer
is this tv that bad
Also says VRR icon off and low altency icon off? But I have ALLM on? And it says it's 199 hertz? Not sure if gsync should be on or off or what
I need help. Apparently, SDR content is too dark on PS5 with my new LG C3. What can i do?
Peak brightness is greyed out in game mode...
I have Allm on but st top of setting next to game optimizer it says it off? Not sure why or if its actually on or not. Alot of greyed out options
I've had the OLED42C3 for about 10 months. I use it as a PC monitor for 6-8 hours a day, for 5 days a week and have absolutely no signs of burn-in.
I have never entered the service menu and I have not disabled the ASBL, TCP, GSR, or (automatic dimming) options either. I only have to configure the HDMI port as a PC and not as a TV, to access optimal configuration and be able to use it as a monitor. PC.
And once I calibrated the brightness, contrast, gamma and other options within the menu with the control that came with the TV, the automatic dimming disappeared, because I have not seen any changes in the lighting when maximizing or minimizing the browser, nor have I when changing from dark or medium tones to light or bright.
I have also had a 32" LG Ultrafine 32UL950-W IPS 4k native monitor for 3 years and although it is an excellent IPS monitor, I feel much better with this 42" OLEDC3.
Greetings
why you didn't mention changing the aspect ratio in the game optimizer in the picture section, should be on the botton after last update, so u can make this tv to be 21:9 od 32:9 for pc gaming?
My LG C3 keeps reverting back to the 4k 60 hz setting. Unable to figure out why. Ive had to chage it back to 120 a few times. Running 4080 Super and using a 2.1 HDMI
Not sure if it was my hdmi cable or not but if some people are experiencing flicker after these settings, I found that lowering the color bitdepth from 12 to 10 in nvidia control panel fixed it for me
Could be the cable for that. It’s a 10-bit panel so that’s fine to use like that
Hi! how can I change the standard mode to fps in gamin mode? thank you
Thanks for video it’s very helpful.
One question on stander mode movies look like live tv drama .how to fix that ? thanks
That will be the TruMotion image settings and image interpolation. Turn those off
Thanks for this video! Are these settings suitable for Oled 42 C2 ?
No, but we’ve got a video for that too
ua-cam.com/video/zv-2yP7Rumo/v-deo.html
How about an LG C1 ?
Sorry don’t have a video for that model
Please can you help me? My oled motion is locked when game optimizer on I don't know what to do
Thank you very much for this video. Very helpful. One question... any reason why you connected the HDMI cable to the exit 4 and not on the exit 2 that has the eARC function ? Should it matter when connecting a PC ? Thanks.
No reason other than it was easier to reach. Yes if you wanted to use eARC you’d need to use that port instead. They should all work the same for PC
@@tftcentral Thank you very much. One more question... I was following your guide, but contrary to what happen to you, activating HDR on W10, when I go to the setup menu on the TV, the "Picture" mode remain in "Expert" (bright space, daytime) and don't change automatically to "HDR Select Mode" why ?
@arisagustoni9706 that’s odd. The tv should detect the HDR input and auto switch. I would expect that to be an issue with the PC input signal somewhere
@@tftcentral What I find strange is that if I go to Home Hub, then the TV switch to HDR, but if I go back to the "home page", the picture setting revert back to "Expert" (bright space, daytime). Don't know why.
Switching to "PC mode" by editing the inputs as shown as one of the first steps in this video made the biggest difference for me. I use my LG TV for work and the jaggy text was driving me bonkers! But, it is now gone! I cannot thank you enough!
Glad to help!
how is the text clarity? Is it sharp enough not to bother you? This is my only concern that's holding me back from buying one.
Hello, nice informative video here thanks! I’m quite confused on how the switching between these presets works. I will be mostly jumping from SDR general desktop use when working and SDR gaming. Am I supposed to manually open the tv settings and switch between the presets you showed in the video every single time? Is there any profile menu where I can save and handily load them at need? Or does the C3 automatically recognise whenever I load up a pc game to switch to the sdr gaming preset? Really confused here sorry
No it should handle the switching automatically in these situations. Make sure instant game response is enabled on the screen and then when it detects you’ve started a game it will auto switch to the “game” preset mode, from whatever you were using before (eg expert bright mode). When you enable HDR in windows, it will auto switch to HDR mode too
@@tftcentral thanks a lot, will try
I did the changes but game optimizer remains in "gaming" mode even in desktop PC for me, it doesnt seem to auotswitch between desktop and gaming mode.@@tftcentral
@YSD1975 it’s fine to stay in game optimiser mode unless there’s specifically settings no longer available you wanted?
I just wanted like you describe in the video, a mode for desktop and another one for gaming like i had with my old C9. Just cant figure out the reason its the same mode all the time. I´ll re-install my adrealine drivers, maybe thats the issue.

Great video, i love my C3 but I have problems with the aspect ratio of it all. It never shows the entire screen without cutting some parts off. Can you help me fix this?
Strange. Are you def running at 3840 x 2160 res and not anything else? Maybe double check the aspect ratio controls in the screen itself too
Hi!
Should I run the Windows HDR calibration tool before or after applying those settings? Or should I not run it at all?
Thanks!
Windows 11? If you’re going to use that then it’s best to select tone mapping as HGiG in the screen settings but apart from that all the same. I’d run that after setting the screen up
@@tftcentral 🙏🙏
Any settings for my setup?
PS5 for gaming and Netflix for watching.
Do I need to switch the settings everytime I use each mode?(gaming and watching)
The settings are remembered within each preset once you’ve set them up. You could use expert bright mode for Netflix and then configure the tv to auto switch to game mode when it detects the PS5 is turned on. Then configure that game mode as directed in the video. The setting for that automatic switching should be in the tv settings menu somewhere under the hdmi controls 😀
Thanks a lot for this video. They've removed the export mode unfortunately. There are also "hidden" options to remove the adds and trackers.
adds and trackers
so cant connect to internet then lol
ok
Hi there, great content. I just picked today the c3 42 for gaming purposes (4090). Do I need to perform the hdr calibration for win 11 as well? If so, any settings there I should consider. And when playing games that support hdr or sdr only, do I need to manually switch from hdr to sdr or will it auto select. SUB EARNED.
You could run through the windows 11 HDR calibration process but do it after you’ve configured the screen settings I would. Should be fairly simple process and no recommendations really for that. Some games will auto switch the screen to HDR mode but some will need you to enable HDR in windows too, but either way that will trigger the screen to move in to HDR mode, you won’t need to change anything on the tv as long as you have it set to the relevant preset mode
@@tftcentraldoes it support 5.1 uncompressed and 7.1 uncompressed through the TV speakers?
I use these HDR general settings for regular TV/movies/YT and the HDR gaming settings for my PS5 Slim. They seem perfect except for one thing. I changed the color temperature from warm 50 to 0 because I found it too yellowish. But I have two questions. I turned on AMD FreeSync Premium, will this improve the PS5 image? Also, I see this nowhere in any calibration video of the LG C3, the 4:4:4 Pass Through setting. It says it's meant for a HDMI coupled PC but when I turn it on or off on PS5 I see colors changing and maybe something with the sharpness but I'm not sure if its improving the image or not. What do you think about this setting? When I installed my recently bought PS5 Slim the LG C3 put the 4:4:4 Pass Through setting on by default for PS5 Slim.
I would leave FreeSync disabled for PS5 use as that will instead use HDMI-VRR for variable refresh rates. You should find that the console still lists VRR support and allows you to turn it on when FreeSync is disabled.
The PS5 cannot support 444 chroma anyway, its limit is 422. What’s the alternative settings for that option?
@@tftcentralThank you for your reply. I will turn off both options then. The 4:4:4 Pass Through setting can be either turned on or off. The other settings in that submenu are quick media switching (on or off), HDMI Deep Colour (off or 4K) and SIMPLINK (HDMI-CEC) which can be turned on or off. These settings be found in settings, General, external devices, HDMI-settings.
@MMCXCIV there’s prob no harm leaving it turned on but it won’t be used or needed from that device anyway.
@@tftcentral Ok
@@tftcentral And what about the Quick Media Switching (QMS)?
I dont see that resolution available in the pc section
Hi, thanks for the video. Soon to be C3 owner here, just curious why filmmaker mode wasn't used for viewing movies?
You can use that if you wish but this guide was for setting up a mode separately and customised to individual settings instead of relying on one of the presets
@@tftcentral thanks. Do you use different modes for TV (non-PC) use? Is that a circumstance where you would consider filmmaker mode?
@blumpkinexcalibur7523 you could do potentially yes. Especially if for the Tv input you want to leave it set as a normal HDMI input instead of PC input and use any of the additional image processing features that might be useful for tv and video content
i've just ordered a C4, do you think most of the settings still apply ? apart from perhaps selecting 144hz ?
Some of the general principles should apply but things like brightness and colour controls will probably be different
I wonder why most videos don't set gamma / contrast / digital vibrance in nvidia options?
thank you, is it fine for editing video, use the Gaming mode for Hights rate ?
Well as it’s oled it’s never ideal for work with static elements if that’s your primary use, but can certainly handle it fine if you’re also using the screen with more general dynamic content. The screen size and the ability to use the 4K res without needing scaling give you a nice big area to work with which is great
thank you @@tftcentral
I've got the same TV, LG C3 42in. Using it as monitor. My GPU is RTX4090. Under Resolution > PC, why am I not getting the 4k, 120Hz selection?
Might be your cable. Try via windows display settings instead of NVIDIA control panel too
Hi, I'm using a C3 as monitor for a week, it's great overall, I'm just getting blue tint effect on the borders due to the view angle I think, because when I move my head it changes. Is it normal? Anything I can do to avoid it?
I feel white uniformity is pretty bad.
Don’t think there’s any way to avoid it. Tinting on the edges does affect some of those panels unfortunately
@@tftcentral is it worth trying a replacement or they are usually all like that?
@leonardobuzinskas5433 if it’s a problem during usage then you could try a replacement. It’s the kind of thing that could vary between samples. May be worth running a couple of pixel and screen clean cycles in case that helps at all first
I have the C3 42 inch model for a few days now and have massive eye strain with it being used as a monitor.
I already applied the settings from the video but no chance. I’m not using the screen in the dark and am 80 cm away. Do you guys have any tips ?
Color temperature 50 as mentioned, try 90 or 100 cm
Hi, im gonna have to use 4:2:0 color settings because my gpu doesn't support hdmi 2.1. Do these settings still apply for this application?
Yep. Unless you’re gaming a lot and actually reaching high frame rates in games at 4k I’d be tempted to stick with 4k 60Hz though and 444 chroma
Thank you, great as always! Can't wait for a written review for even more valuable detail.
Is it possible to calibrate colours and white balance at different signal levels (multipoint) in the Game Optimizer mode the way it's possible in other picture modes like the Expert ones? Or you're basically stuck with panel's native performance if you want optimized latency?
I'm concerned about the out-of-the-box EOTF tracking. It can be corrected with decent precision via the multipoint RGB/white balance in some other modes and it would have been great if that was possible in Game Optimizer image mode as well.
I'd greatly appreciate it if you could verify the availability of this option since it's of crucial importance to me.
I’ve replied to your other comment on this now 😀
hdr in general desktop use look very weird to me, such as the desktop icons and text are not as good as in sdr, is that expected?
Pretty normal. See here tftcentral.co.uk/articles/heres-why-you-should-only-enable-hdr-mode-on-your-pc-when-you-are-viewing-hdr-content
I have connected my laptop with RTX 3060 mobile GPU to my LG C3 using a CLUB 3D ultra high speed HDMI 2.1 cable, and when I changed the rate to 120hz the input signal was lost. Is it a faulty cable?
Possibly an incompatible cable if it’s not an ultra high speed certified HDMI cable.
Will this be fine setting for gaming on Xbox series x and for movies and tv shows? Both SDR and HDR for both? I’m getting my 65 c3 tomorrow
Yes the same settings should largely apply for other devices too 😀
@@tftcentralthanks for the reply your video is very informative as I’ve never owned a lg before loving it so far! Amazing picture!
Thanks what does dark room mode do on game optimiser?
Adjusts the brightness of the screen
Hi. Can i use that setting for Lg G3 65 inch ? Thanks
Some of the general options will be the same but any colour configuration is likely to be different as it’s a different model. But could give them a go and see how the look anyway
I got one of these for PS5 gaming mostly. Are these settings worth messing with for that?
Yeah they’re all still relevant really
You skipped over brightness for HDR Gaming. i noticed it was at 100. Should it be 100 or 55 like you set in SDR Mode?
Also, i noticed HGIG mode is extremely important to have on.
Leave brightness at max default 100 for HDR, you don’t want it capping your peak brightness there. HGiG is useful if you have an input source that supports it properly like a modern games console
This video was simply outstanding; thank you, sir. I made almost all your setting suggestions but I don't think my Radeon RX570 can do 120hz or HDR at 4k, after doing a bit of googling. :(
A great excuse to treat yourself to a new card 😀
@@tftcentral I like how you think. 👍
Brigness 41 means 120 nits according to video. If i target 100 nits, does that mean Brighness of 32 with your settings? Thanx again for a great job, nice picture with minimum changes.
Somewhere around that should be about 100 nits yes
Hi, I own a GPU radeon RX 580, I can't see the option for 120hz, but only 60hz, what video card do you use for this TV?
Could my GPU be obsolete?
Thank you.
I don’t believe it has HDMI 2.1 and so won’t be able to support above 60Hz as a result

I dont know how to explain it its like that effect you used to get in old crt tvs when you used to plug your laptop on them it used to bend the picture overall from the middle can anyone help me how to fix it? Or maybe some link where it explains? I had a samsung odessey g9 before this
It’s possible you’re just getting used to a flat screen again after using a highly curved model before. That’s very common when moving from curved to flat. How long have you been using it? And have you stopped using the Samsung monitor now completely?
I used it for 2 years and sold it to get the c3 55inch since my viewing distance increased due to my speaker placement and i couldnt read anything on the ultrawide properly. Absolutely amazing thank you very so much. Fabulously informative tutorial and so helpful as I was scratching around trying diff settings and really getting in a mess. With you setting and you really nailed them all for me !
The only difference is in all the sharpness settings. As my eyesight is not quite what it was and I'm using the 43" C3 as a monitor 2.5ft away boosting the sharpness makes it all sexy 4k pin sharp.
Thank you for all your advice = 5 gold Star my man !!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Glad it was helpful. Thanks for the feedback 😀
How much did you boost sharpness?
@@blumpkinexcalibur7523
This will depend on your use case and is a persona pref:
- On a gaming profile (as a PC monitor) I set it quite high at about 40 (out of a max of 50)
Too high and it is rather grainy while too low and it will look 'soft' and hence not sharp.
- On a document Black text on a white background 25 looks good. Much higher and the text looks thin and starts to disappear against the strong white background.
However as its an OLED I use reverse or dark mode where ever possible so thats white text on a dark grey background and the 40 setting still looks good.
its really quite personal and depends on what you are using it for TV, PC monitor etc.
Just access the sharpness on the settings 'shortcut' (rather than the one buried in the menu) and use the pointer to adapt the slider on the hoof to your liking.
Good luck
So what's the actual reason for changing it to Warm 50? Is it "True White" even though it looks Yellow at first? What's the reason for the Cool Default look in the first place?
It’s a normal D65 /6500K but may take some getting used to compared with the very cool panel native which is what seems to be used for the default
I think the reason is that the default activates the white subpixels only for "0" color temp. And it so happens that the white subpixels are really blue tint, kinda like older cheap LED lights. It's not accurate, sunlight is like 5700K mid day, incandescent lights are like 3000K. the white subpixels are like 9000K or 10000K!
Changing to warm 50 adds a little red subpixel to balance it out and make it accurate.
FYI - anyone who has trouble getting the 120HZ make sure you ALSO turn on the GAME OPTIMISER on your LG TV whilst in game mode. Once you do that the 120hz option will be available to choose in the NVIDIA resolution settings under PC(as shown in the video)
Initially my LG C3 tv had GAME OPTIMISER turned off be default which is why I couldn’t see the 120hz option when I was in the NVIDIA settings
Hello, need ur help in ur opinion which better lg C3 77inch for 3500$ or lg G2 77INCH for 3800$?
Oh not sure. We’ve not tested either but I’d probably try and find out how peak brightness is on each as that’s likely one of the main differences in performance to worry about
G2
Having one issue with my new C3... While watching Disney + (from my PC) the FPS increased to 120 - 122hz and the screen blanked out saying it couldn't recognize the input signal. So How does one 'limit' the FPS?
Strange. Does disabling Gsync or FreeSync from your graphics card resolve that?
@@tftcentral Yes, disabling GSync for the Desktop seems to have resolved the Issue. In games I have the refresh rate limited to 118hz via the Nvidia control panel.
Ok it must oddly be using that. Maybe there’s a way to leave Gsync active in control panel but disable it for certain apps / video but if it’s working ok now with your workaround that’s prob fine 👍
what should I do if I have not in Select Mode - expert mode?
Is that because you’ve not changed the HDMI input mode? Or are running in HDR mode all the time?
I am getting mixed reviews. Do i need to mess with the service menu?
Only if you wanted to disable ASBL but it’s not supposed to be a menu that’s accessible so carries some risks if you do. Discussed more here

I noticed you recommended keeping Sharpness at 10, but in your online article you recommend Sharpness 0.
Do you have a link to online article?
Will you lose some enhancers like interpolation, Contrast enhancer etc....if you put your TV's input and your Windows 10 /3060 T.I Desktop in PC mode? Do you lose anything or is every feature still there?
I'm not a pro gamer so i care more about the picture and the added fake frames from interpretation. I'm getting this TV in a few days.
Most of the settings depend on which preset you use, like expert bright mode vs one of the others. Expert bright will give you access to the most. I think you lose access to some by using the pc input mode label, but if there’s anything you wanted, use a different input label. Although note you will lose the 444 chroma support doing that
@@tftcentral That kinda blows. I wish there was a freestyle setting. I want that 4444 color but not at the expense of Interpolation. Thanks for the info.

@@tftcentral ok I’ll give it a shot re update my gpu and tried in the windows display and same issue lol it’s just so weird those options are not coming up in the PC area

Why do you kept 10 sharpness? i saw some settings video, many of them set it to 0 ... I would like to know the reason.
Try it out. It just looked better imo on this model
From what I can tell, 10 is actually 0 on this model. 0 is effectively adding a softening filter.
How can I access 4K on my new oled 65” lg do I require a different plug out of my 4090 rtx?
You’d have to use the HDMI port from your pc. Make sure you’ve got a suitable cable. And in NVIDIA control panel you might need to scroll down the resolution list in to the pc section
@@tftcentral thank you so much will look into the cable
@@tftcentralso I bought my cable but resident evil 4 seems like it says hdr is not in windows 11

@@tftcentral yes, I have a rtx 3080
@cloud_slash6484 and you can’t set anything above 1360 x 768? I’d do a graphics card driver reinstall and update. Check you’ve got a suitable HDMI 2.1 cable, and maybe also check windows display settings instead if using NVIDIA control panel to set the resolution

why do you leave sharpness at 10 for the C3 and 0 for the C2?
That just looked visually optimal in our testing. Feel free to experiment
At the native resolution, everything up until 10 has no effect. At lower resolution edge smoothing is applied. So it doesn't matter unless you feed the TV a non native resolution.

Just as an example, if I want to watch an HDR movie, I keep it On and use Cinema HDR mode and if want to switch to playing a game in SDR, I turn it Off and use Game Optimizer SDR mode ? Basically 4 calibrated modes, 2 each for SDR and HDR. And the need to switch to different modes depending on content. Am I right ?
@ZStrelok you can prob get away with just two modes, one for SDR and one for HDR. The screen will remember which one you were using between those two modes too so you won’t have to keep switching. If you’re gaming, I’d set up the game optimizer preset in both SDR and HDR to give you the lowest lag. If you configure it to the settings recommended here, that should all look fine. Saves you messing around then
Thanks! @@tftcentral
Dynamic tone mapping needs to be on HGIG not on or off! Very important for games
Only where the input source supports it. If your game includes an HDR configuration tool and supports HGiG then yes, use that option.
In game optimizer … how do u change to FPS … is there something I gotta turn off to unlock it. I’m on ps5
Sorry what do you mean by change to fps?
@@tftcentral in the game optimizer menu u can change the game mode depending to what game you’re playing. Default is Standard but they also have sports or FPS for first person shooter like call of duty or Fortnite. I’ve seen some reviews where it’s switched but for some reason mine is grayed out.
Those just have different preset levels for colours, sharpness etc. if you’re using the settings in this video for optimal accuracy, you’d prob want to stick with the standard mode. The others will skew what you’re doing 😀
anybody here playong xbox series x or ps5 with white balance warm 50 ? dont you guys think it makes the screen brownish a lot ?
I have a few questions, in the HDMI Settings, there's an option called 4:4:4 Pass Through, do I need to enable it? And what about AI Game Sound? If I put the same settings of the cinema mode on the film maker mode, will they look the same? What's the best windows SDR content mode? Anyways thanks for the great video, you helped me a ton!
Yes enable 444 pass through if using a 444 capable device like a pc input as far as I know. AI game sound you can use if you want, maybe experiment with the different modes to see which you prefer for your room and setup. And yes if you set the same settings in each mode they should look the same although some modes don’t allow access to all settings so it may not be possible in them all . Personally I like to use expert bright mode to configure for windows SDR mode
@@tftcentralThanks a lot again!
@@tftcentralOne last thing, for movies, should I use filmmaker mode or still expert and do I set sharpness to 10 or is it just for desktop use?
They have the same settings but expert is brighter, I don't know which one is more accurate
I prefer just to stick to the configured expert bright mode for those uses too. Same settings
Have you seen a c3 calibrated? Does it look even better? Thinking of having it done but don't want it to be a waste of money if not worth it
Do u happen to know the hdr game mode max peak? As its diff on the 42 compared to the bigger 55+ ones
On the 42” model it’s basically the same across the different modes. The 55” and above include a brightness booster in the C3 range so it will be higher, but we’ve not tested those so not sure by how much
How i "trigger HDR" on windows? I don't get that
It’s within windows display settings, an option to turn HDR on or off
I don't understand, we don't need to set clarity to 0 anymore? because on the LG CX TV everyone was shouting what they should)
Try both to see which looks better to you
@@tftcentral just tell me what is better and I will use it) HD TV Test proved to everyone that 0 is better than 10, at the same time many put 10 and say that this is correct if this setting was set by default by LG.

@@tftcentral ???🙏
This settings are for ps5 as well or just for pc ?
Yeah most should be the same and fine. You might want to use HDR HGiG mode and then run through the consoles HDR calibration steps afterwards though
My C3 doesn't have Auto Power save mode and Expert mode 🤷🏽♂️
@sebastiansmolik8750 have you definitely set the input to PC, and are you running in SDR mode and not HDR?
I bought the C3 two days ago and DV looks significantly darker compared to my older C1, or even my CX. Try playing “Ozark” and then you’ll see that Marty’s face looks so dark you can’t even see details on the right side of his face when he’s taking to the clients (first episode). And the clients also look really dark. I’ve made sure all the power saving settings are off, and all the extra settings to “brighten” the picture are on and nothing. Same result. So frustrating. Any one else has noticed something similar?
Try changing the brightness setting in the menu (not the oled panel brightness the other one), it might help bring out shadow details
I’m not sure which one you’re referring to.
What HDMI cable you using?
You need an “ultra high speed” certified cable
I'm a bit confused why turning everything white to yellow is the "optimal" image even though for my human eyes, mostly all natural light is the colder kind or more neutral white. I suppose color stuff is subjective in that way but the "objectively closer to some calculated value" just seems so off to me :d
6500K is the temperature of daylight, the upper “cool” end in fact. But there may be variation from panel to panel with this screen and so perhaps the recommended setting is going too warm on your sample. But equally may be because you’ve gotten very used to the very cool native appearance and just need a bit of time to adjust. Ultimately go for whatever looks better to you, that’s what it’s all about. This is only a guide 😀
It's not subjective. Sunlight is objectively about 5700K at mid day, much warmer in morning or evening. Incandescent lights are like 3700K. The default C2/C3 is like 9000K. It's too blue. You're just used to cheap LED lights or poorly calibrated monitors. Set 6500K and you will get used to it after 1 hour.
I always keep my brightness on 85
My game optimizer is only going up to 100fps
Nevermind! I'm dumb was set to 100hz in Nvidia settings lol.
Why RGB over 4:4:4
It’s the same thing 😀
@@tftcentralfor many TV's its not the same, you get much different results. Thankfully the LG C2 does a good job of matching RGB and 444 :)
warm 50 on the videogames is yellow!! fc 24 the pitch is yellow... best option colour 0
If you like 9000k or 10000k color temp. you're just used to cheap blue LED lights. Sunlight is 5700K at most.
