Wow… now that was a proper rebuild… You guys are professionals and awesome…. Love this channel……
listen to the fantastic and majestic 2002 986 flat six purr such an amazing noise I have a 1999 base model 986 with a 2.5 L flat six that’s the best noise there is on earth next to the old air cooled flat, six Porsche engines
Perfect job👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Wow, all that work. I've got a new cupholder to install and I expect it will take me a couple hours.
What a truly special car. Thanks for the effort and video.
Amazing.
Unbelievably awesome job! My 2006 boxster s would love a make over like that! Aloha from Hawaii!
So satisfying to watch
Wow that one needed a lot of work. Hope it worked out. I have an 03 S mint condition silver over black, that’s been customized, 6 speed tranny, with only 48K miles on it. It looks brand new. Thing about especially the nice ones, they’re starting to go up in value… I’m getting old now. May have to sell. Really don’t want to, they’re such a blast to drive. I highly recommend the Boxster, especially the S. I have never regretted buying it. You guys did a great video. Really enjoyed…
Great work, nice editing and good music!
Super enjoyed this video
Tout simplement magnifique ❤️👌👌👌
Class work
Beautiful, but why would someone rebuild an automatic Porsche?!!?
Хоть это и бюджетная модель порше, но она остается им) молодцы
Excelent work!
I wish I knew someone who could help me restore mine like that!
same here with my 99, 2.5 L, five speed base model, six 6 owner 986 it has the very pretty arena, red metallic paint with Savanna beige interior I love that car to death. It’s a shame it’s been put through the ringer the way it has been body wise so some of the paint his feeding not all of it. There are some scratches mostly on the hood and rock chips mostly on the hood and front facia especially front bumper along with bigger scratches on the front bumper which is unfortunate but right at the center of it all on the hood there used to be a dent there now I know this because the previous owner had it pulled out and how did he have it pulled out you might ask definitely not the Porsche approved method more like the backyard five dollar mechanic Joe mechanic by them, taking a drillbit to the hood, drilling a small hole, taking a metal rod or something of that nature pushing it through the hall, and then pulling the dent out they did refill the hole with probably Bondo I imagine but to put the icing on the cake about three times over from the factory. The hood was not really that curved. It was pretty flat now since they had to pull up on the deck, it is curved, and it is quite noticeable, then to top it off, they didn’t even do the little touch up with the touch up paint with the OEM Porsche arena, red metallic color to match. No they just threw some dark red on there if that was an even metallic kind of like the same paint you would get from like one of those little toy car models that you have to paint that kind of paint and then when you open the hood it’s even worse there’s no paint in that spot it’s just bare metal know how botched up of a job is that and yes I get it it’s not a Porsche 911 it’s not an air cooled Porsche it’s a water cooled 1999 base model Porsche 986 Boxster but it’s not a Toyota Corolla either. And it deserves respect from the owner I’m probably the only owner besides the one that purchased it in 99 when new off the dealer floor that actually respects and cherishes that car so in order to rectify this massive hideous mistake that should’ve never been done in the first place. I am probably gonna have to replace the hood because it’s curved in such a way that it’s gonna be impossible to get out and make it flat again which saddens me because that’s where the build sheet is on the hood, the build sticker sheet all the sequence of numbers in the paint code is will not be original so the car after that and if I try to remove it carefully well it’s been on there for almost 24 years now so chances of it coming off in one legible peace are probably exceptionally less than zero somewhere in the negative I save -10 probably which really saddens me because I really like that car and I’m really proud of it. My dad had one back when they were new blue one like a dark blue metallic with a red soft top and the interior it was like an orange red five speed of course it was fantastic. I wish you would’ve kept that car but on the plus side, the deployable spoiler and the automatic soft top still work, they go up and down like the day they were rolled off the assembly line installed on the car. I’m 23 years old. I’ll be 24 on 18th June I practically daily drive this thing except when there’s bad rainy weather, but I desperately want to restore the car and my dad being a Porsche fanatic I got it from him because he had just about every 9/11 from the early 2000s and onward you could have mostly 911 turbo’s that were manual because it’s almost a requirement even he says when I tell him one day when I make enough money, I will professionally get this car meticulously restored to the last bolt and he says that’s a waste of money and time and I understand the business part of it but I love that car very much probably more than I’m going to love my own children and my wife but for now I’m just gonna enjoy it because it’s still a fantastic driving car now I have the restored it a little myself mechanically that is in a little cosmetic in the interior, got the factory correct colored floor mats because the other ones were not even they were aftermarket crap that didn’t even match the interior and they kept sliding over the accelerator pedal and brake pedal because they weren’t even kind enough to find some that had the Velcro pads like the originals so I remedy that issue with matching Porsche floor mats that look fantastic later in life when I do restore it meticulously, I’m probably gonna enter it in car shows obviously still enjoy it. Oh and the wheels need to be refinished because on all four wheels on the spokes have curb brush on every spoke how is that possible? I don’t know someone and I had to be really bad at driving for that to happen, but yeah that’s my plan with that car. I love the 986 boxer, it’s an underrated Porsche, but it is bloody brilliant to drive
Nice Car! Nice work! , but i dont like the lights brr...

Question, how much would a job like this cost (including everything that's been done)?
More than a new one for sure
@@GustavoHSaad-en3vx only in the US and europe that this kind of repair will cost than a new car.. not in china and asia, there workmanship still cheap..
I think they stated $25K earlier….
You put all this work into a Tiptronic Boxster.
That was my reaction when I saw that. Booooo.
I don’t see you doing anything.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@briansturgill5905 bada boom, tish !
すごいな こんなけレストアしたら いくらするのかな
Too much work invested in a Boxer? At least get a 996.
Red Porsche Boxster 996. The car Alan Harper could only enjoy for 1 day before it got joyride'd and wrecked by a neurotic woman.
exaggerated
How can I have you guys do this for me I will pay please contact me
I have an 03 S silver over black, mint, customized, 6 speed, 48K miles, for $25K in US, I’m considering letting go, for a good owner that will take care of it. It stays in my climate controlled garage, with a cover on it….
