@@fishjj76 The 04 team is an immensely extraordinary team deserving of all the love and credit in the world and more. They achieved the goal. Winning in 07 was a nice cherry on top. But there was something magical about the 2013 team. This team put a hurting city on its back and went out there to bring some joy. Big Papi's speech at the first game after the marathon bombing will always be etched into my heart.
@@eddiekim Fair enough. In some ways I feel like I'm asking which of your children do you love most. Each is special in their own way. Thanks for the reply.
I remember feeling there is no way they beat detroit and somehow they did it. Life long sox fan since the 80s and this 2013 team will always be my favorite
Not the drought breakers of 2004? The self-proclaimed 'group of idiots' that said "why not us" and buried the Curse. I would have thought a fan since the 80's would have more love for the 04 team.
That whole run was something special I was there in Boston after they won the Championship for St.Pattys but I always wished I could make it just easier for this win but I showed up between this win and the Pat's win later on which also was a big win for the Pat's that season and every Pat's fan knows exactly what I'm talking about 😁
I remember I went up to Boston from New Jersey with my high school sweet heart and I took her to a game and I took her around Boston because I go up almost every year since 2007. 2013 I graduated high school and the trip was a gift from my parents. I remember letting my GF shop and I snuck in a game 😂 that team was something. Watching them everyday was a privilege. Pulling walk off after walk off. I used eat lunch with a yankee fan everyday. He bust my balls and vice versa. We weren’t close friends so I never got to bust on him after we won because we graduated. That team and that year would be know to me as an incredible experience. Looking 10 year off. It has become nostalgic in my mind. Good times, only wish I came up for the parade that year. Kinda regret that looking back.
Not sure why you are looking in the past. Please get some pitching and we will be in the playoffs. I guess right now that’s all we have to look forward to is the past. Come on man
That was a really great trip down memory lane. The 2013 team was so special, my favorite Red Sox team.
Really? Not the drought breakers of 2004?

The 2013 Red Sox were a fun team to watch.
Indeed. In fact one of the most special teams in Boston sports history
Thanks for the run down memory lane. Damn that was a special team and a special run…❣️❣️❣️❣️🥰🥰🥰💪💪

After this win, in addition to '04 and '07, my hubby said I was smug. 😂 When his Cubbies finally won it was with all our old teammates! ❤

I'll never forgive Boston for knocking my Tigers out. But this story is incredible. We really did fear the beard.
ALCS game 2 was so demoralizing until........Big Papi. Gives me chills to this day,

Junior year of High School, oh what a time!
Clay Buchholz looks like Steve Buscemi when he was drunk in The Wedding Singer.

Clay Bucholz is a scary looking dude these days.
yes
Is that Jeff Bezos at 17:42 wtf????
This is the only way Red Sox win games now, by past highlights.
2018 wasn’t all that long ago
For 86 years, there were no TV highlights. So progress has been made.
