Hey Erock, I recently bought a rx 6800. I did it because of the 16gb of vram. But is 10gb enough for ultra 1440p gaming, because a guy I know wants to trade it with a rtx 3080. I’ve seen other tech channels say that the 3080 isn’t worth it because it’s more expensive, but in this case it isn’t.
If you’re considering the trade, I would load up all your favorite games on the 6800. Set the resolution to 1440p. Set the graphics to ultra. Monitor the vram usage. If any go over 10 gb, then you should keep the 6800.

I did do manual way but nothing seems to be stable so I went with undervolt and feels great, I'm going to try OC now
Hi! Can you explain how it is possible for the gpu to have lower temps when overclocked? it seems controversial
You have to undervolt as well it'll allow you to reach higher clocks at lower voltages which means less watts less power less heat better temperatures
With the 7900xt just do undervolt 😂😂😂 why OC on a $700 gpu?
Because I want all the performance my system can give me lol? Why do you buy expensive hardware just to handicap it
@elitepauper7400 It's already gotten a good performance card out of the box. You can make it better by undervolting it.
@@elitepauper7400 the undervolt gives you cooler temps better power use and beter performance. you lose out by maybe 3% at best xD
@@elitepauper7400 mf u are handicapping the rx 7900 xt if u dont undervolt it, setting 990 voltage and 3100 mhz gets me the most performance. VRAM DOES ALMOST NOTHING
@@rayven007 then ur overclocking it wrong. Memory does a lot. Also no 7900XT I know off actually pulls 990mv reliably in games. 3dmark isn't a good stability test dude. And ofcourse I'm undervolting my gpu and cpu. But I still also maximise performance. The only thing I'm actually overclocking is the ram from 6000 cl30 to 6400 cl30 using more voltage. And ofcourse the cpu using pbo but I'm running a -36 curve
