I ve been plane spotting at gatwick since 1968, its just amazing to watch the airports transformation and i do have many photos of it then one of my treasured ones is of ariana afghan airlines boeng 727 registetered YA-FAR which crashed near there on 5-01-1969, very tragic as it tried to land in freezing fog at dawn on its way back from frankfurt, originating in kabul.
Unfortunately, I again arrive at the party too late to make a timely comment. Nevertheless, I am compelled to write something, since watching your videos brings a great deal of enjoyment to me. Thank-you so much for all the effort you make. About the only thing missing is that whiff of jet exhaust that accompanies being able to get that close to the action. Maybe I'll invent some sort of cologne that mimics the smell. Most notable to me was that quick round trip made by the Qatar 787. I guess when it returned to the gate and had a mechanic look at the problem, the mechanic fixed it all by putting a piece of black tape over the light to stop it from flashing red. That is what I would have done. Anyway, thank-you so much again, and as always, I look forward to your next post.
