Here in the UK Norman was cult viewing and was on late at night. My younger brother and I used to stay up to watch him and have a few drinks. I remember laughing till it hurt. Thanks Norman, you gave this pom a lot of happy memories,
Not many overseas people "got" Norman but Paul and Linda really understood his humour, fabulous interview, really well done by all a great laugh!!! YES CLASSIC!!!!!!!
I have to say that Garry McDonald is amazing. This man suffered from and maybe still suffers from panic attacks and depression, which I can totally relate to...so how the hell he does what he does with that kind of affliction never ceases to amaze me...
It looks like Paul (and Linda) realised that for the first time in his life a reporter has finally outwitted a Beatle! You can tell they got Norman's sense of humour and rolled with it. Much respect! RIP to Denny Laine who was in that interview too.
I was born on the night that Wings were playing here in Melbourne, my parents said that you could here them from the hospital room...... perhaps this is why I am a fan .... it was my very first introduction to music.

Long before Ali G and Borat, there was Norman Gunston.
What I like is that the McCartneys get it pretty quickly, and play their part well.

The marriage is ok but you're not helping Norman......... absolute classic!

Norman is amazing for sure; and the McCartneys such great sports about it too.

"It's funny though - you don't look Japanese" - that is next universe comedy.

Totally raw, original, authentic, quality, pisser Aussie TV!
I adored The Norman Gunston Show. So original as was The Aunty Jack Show before it.
