This is a much more streamlined explanation of how Charles Xavier became Paralyzed. In comics Magneto had nothing to do with it. In X-Men #20 during a flashback we see Xavier in the Himalayas in s strange town in conflict with a being called "Lucifer" that turns out to be a scout for an invading Extraterrestrial civilization. Lucifer drops a large boulder on his legs crushing them.
