I'm surprised you didn't include Rae Carruth of the Carolina Panthers. He was convicted of orchestrating the murder of his pregnant girlfriend, Cherica Adams. Their son lived and she passed away from her injuries a month later
Carruth is is free and should be living under the fcking jail. Adams knew what Carruth was doing, she figured it during her 911 call. Adams son is disabled because of the attack on his mom. Wicked sad and fcked up.
Javon Belcher killed his girlfriend and drove to his team's stadium and killed himself in front of his coach and team's owner. Really should have made this list.
@@williamglass2445 Bottlegate happened between the Browns and Jaguars in 2001. What happened in that game was this: Late in the 4th quarter, the Browns converted on a critical 4th down to keep the game alive. They then spiked the ball to stop the clock, but after that, the refs wanted to review the previous play, which you can't do once another play was run. They reviewed the play anyway, the pass on the 4th down play was ruled incomplete and the Jaguars got the ball. The fans were absolutely furious and started throwing beer bottles onto the field in the direction of the referees and would not stop. The refs had to end the game with 48 seconds left due to all the chaos. That game also cost the Browns a potential spot in the playoffs.
How is ray rice above hernandez on this list? Both acts are terrible, but hernandez actually shot and killed multiple people. Ray just hit his wife. One is def worse than the other
It's unconscionable to me that you'd make a top 10 NFL controversy list and omit the league's LA debacle. The league was successfully sued by St. Louis over that debacle and had to settle for $790 million for effectively allowing an NFL team to be lied out of that city - for no good reason. (And, no, increasing the value of an NFL team is NOT a valid reason to move a team per the league's own relocation policy.)
Didn't Kaepernick request his release because he wasn't going to be the starter of the 49ers? Also you didn't mention the petition from a Native American group wanting the Redskins name to be brought back.
I think the biggest controversy was Aaron Hernandez. He was never found guilty but due to depression and the backlash from the NFL he hung himself in his jail cell. I believe he was innocent but the media and the NFL decided he was guilty and never gave him any support or help or love.
Innocent? HA. Hanging himself in the jail cell proved his guilt. He didn't want to take accountability so he took the cowards way out PROVING he did the crime. If he WAS innocent, he wouldn't have done what he did. He would've faced the music if he was truly innocent
@robynwolph3836 he did it. Don't get me wrong But.... he hung himself because of an old law in mass that vacate a conviction while under a certain appeal until it is reviewed. In turn it would mean his family would get his remaining guaranteed money as he wasn't in violation of his contract
@@robynwolph3836 you've obviously never been in that situation. It's hard when everyone you know and has supported you all of a sudden turns against you because of lies and the media. As someone that lives in the Philadelphia area (but is not an Eagles fan), it was almost sickening watching Eagle fans hate Vick when he first joined, then love him because he could play football. It was like everything he did to those dogs didn't matter anymore and all the hate directed toward the Eagles when they first hired him melted away.
You have a serious problem going on when the Red Skins have 3 historical based super bowl trophys and theres a reason those trophys are etched. I think it looks bad now.
lou holtz was interviewed on tv a few years ago and said that if you want to eliminate concussions, get rid of facemasks. some other ideas to consider, make it mandatory to have a weight limit of 300 lbs. and players must retire before turning 30 or 31.
Although it's not prefect (no sport/league is), I prefer CFL to NFL for many reasons. So I say give it a shot, you will not be disappointed (desbite yesterday I unfortunately saw a terrible mistake made in 1 play but I see more great plays than bad like kicked balls returned for a TD close or over 100 yards 😮)
The Washington Commies should not have had to change their name. I am of Native American Descent and by the way we find being called Native Americans offensive because every American is a Native American. We are Indigenous Americans.
I don’t know anyone who considers “redskins” as a recital slur anymore. Now the team doesn’t reference American Indians at all. Is that what they want?
You should've added Sam Kroenke and his Rams moving out of St Louis. That was a big controversy. Both Kroenke and the NFL had to pay St. Louis a whole lot of money in doing so due to a lawsuit.
Or the Baltimore Colts sneaking out to Indianapolis in the middle of the night. The original Browns leaving Cleveland for Baltimore. Al Davis’s various moves with the Raiders.
You should've included the part where in deflategate the balls were not actually 2 pounds under they were barely under and a judge that the nfl wanted said brady was innocent before it was overturned
