if someone lives in a smoking household, i recommend they clean every six months. particulate from smoke can settle in a million places

I've pulled apart and upgraded a couple of Intel minis, a 2014 and a 2018. I never pulled my M1 mini apart since nothing inside was upgradeable. Didn't occur to me that it might be filling up with dust bunnies. I've since upgraded to another Mac desktop so I'll never know. Regarding the Brigii, I have a Black & Decker Dust Buster that I use (judiciously!) to clean out the computers in my house.

just what i need it, as an owner of a mac mini m1 too i like the desing but as an old time pc user i know that things with fans get dusty, kinda poor desing from apple to think we all live in prestine labs like the apple campus and not make a easier way to clean it, i bet that most commom people dont even know the m1 mini has a fan since it is quite silent, thanks for the video plan to use it once a year

Thanks CJ. Some people think I’m a weirdo for taking my PCs apart every 1-2 years and cleaning the living excrement out of it.
Guess what, they are the same people who have to replace their computers way more often than I do…
My oldest at the moment is a 2007 Dell laptop that has a screen where the background lighting just gave out the ghost. Otherwise, it still works with an external monitor. That’s right, it’s a 15 years old laptop.
