  • Hey adventurers! Matthew & Lexi here, with a fun (and slightly frustrating) tale from El Yunque rainforest! Join us as we battle entry problems (seriously folks, plan ahead!), only to triumphantly find the elusive Amazonian Parrot in a fun challenge! And, of course we explore some yummy food on the way!
    Get ready for:
The perils of a crowded weekend rainforest!
Stunning El Yunque scenery (worth the wait!)
A friendly competition to spot the Amazonian Parrot (spoiler alert: Matthew wins!)
Tips for navigating El Yunque like a pro (so you avoid our mistakes!)
Yummy shish-ka-babs and delicious fish tacos - worth a second visit!
This video is a rollercoaster of emotions, but ultimately, a celebration of the beauty and wonder of El Yunque. Don't miss it!

We were there last week. They were turning cars around. When we were about the 4th car in line the started letting cars in. We made it in, but lots of the trails were closed and parking was very limited. We made it to Juan Diego falls for a bit. Then we took a 40 minute detour out of El Yunque to Angelito Tralhead. Where the wife and kids swam in the river.

Love it!! Thank you for sharing @miguelcruzonline Sounds like you and family had a great eXperience! We loved the Angelito Trailhead eXperience. Did you happen to find the tree trunk that looks like a face on the trail?

@@TheEmptyNesterDiaries we kinda lucked out at Angelito Trailhead. There were only a couple of people there and they eventually left. Leaving the place completely to our selves.

Thank you for commenting! Great advice! :-) We had heard about Ponce (I think there is bio-luminescence there?) but ran out of time to visit
